Zancudo Lodge

This was absolutely the trip of a lifetime for me. The lodge was beautiful and clean and the staff was attentive to every detail. Our daily fishing adventures with Owen were beyond anything I had imagined. Greg and Goldien have created a beautiful lodge in the middle of a fishermen's paradise. I am already looking forward to another visit.

I don't think my words can do this experience justice but I'll try. From the moment we stepped on to the dock, the owners and staff were just incredibly kind, professional, welcoming and so attentive to every detail. They anticipate your every need before you even realize it. The food was the best I've ever had, consistently, every night. Four course meals, fresh seafood, great drinks. They even grilled a red snapper we had caught on the last night. No words can describe the beauty of the lodge. The landscaping, the view of the sunset every evening and sunrise every morning. The pool, the beach. It couldn't get any better right? Well then there's the fishing. And I'll start by saying I am not experienced, at all. This was a family bonding trip for me and I was up for anything. So with that said, the sea captain was amazing. He explained everything and wow! What an adrenaline rush! We did 4 days of fishing and caught marlin, sailfish, rooster fish, tuna, snappers, barracudas, and more! The captain also took amazing videos and pictures for us. I had so much fun. The entire experience is meticulously coordinated and the owners were present throughout our stay to ensure everything was running smoothly. I can't speak highly enough of the Zancudo Lodge and I wish all of the staff nothing but the best. If you're considering a stay here, do it. It's the experience of a lifetime.

A epic trip to an exceptional place. The accommodations at The Zancudo Lodge are second to none. They hosted our group of 13 with friendliness and graciousness. Dinners were amazing each night and the fishing excursions created new core memories as we caught tuna, sailfish, and rooster fish. The lodge coordinated our land tours as well - canyoning and swimming in pristine waterfalls after hiking through the rain forest. This trip to one of the world’s wild places settled the heart and reminded each of us what truly matters. Thank you, Zancudo Lodge, for taking such good care of us.

Every expectation I had going into this trip was far exceeded. Every accommodation is carefully thought out, planned and executed in amazing detail. The scenic flight in and out of Golfito only add to the experience. Once you arrive at the lodge your greeting by the staff, each one of which is nicer than the next. The staff will go out of their way to make sure every aspect of your visit is exactly what you want. The rooms are perfectly laid out with plenty of space. The dining experience is absolutely perfect. Each meal is better than the next. Careful thought and prep goes into planning their menu and it definitely doesn’t disappoint! The bar staff has a cold drink in your hand before you even knew you were ready for another one. Captain Irving took a group of guys who wanted to fish and put us exactly where we needed to be each and every time we stepped on the boat. Catching rooster fish on board his boat in the breaking waves of the surf of a secluded beach might have been one of the coolest experience I have ever had. He is just one of the crew of captains who work their tails off to make sure your experience is perfect. Greg is there to meet you on the dock at the end of your long day of fishing to make sure your day was great, and Lee is there to make sure your extra cared for. Even going so far as to make sure you have an extra special meal before you board the plane to leave. This whole experience is something I will never forget and cannot wait to head back to the Zancudo Lodge as soon as possible! Thank you guys for a great experience!

Bucket list trip me and my friend Peter. Zancudo is the best. Greg and Goldine have it dialed in.5 star all the way. No detail is missed. Service is exceptional and Ryan keeps your drink full at the bar. Food is out of this world 4-5 course dinner every night. Oh I almost forgot😜. The fishing was great. Two days of inshore fishing catching rooster fish-probably caught 15 roosters and several of other species. One day of marlin fishing - we each caught one. Peter’s was in the 350 pound range. Fourth day of fishing was for tuna- caught four along with sailfish bonus. Tito our fishing guide was amazing hard worker. If you have been thinking about a bucket list fishing trip this is the place.

Our second visit to Zancudo. We think it’s just an awesome place, really catered to the fisherman. Both times our rooms have been extremely comfortable with super comfy beds and pillows. The in room AC really makes sleeping easy after a long day of fishing. The boats are great and we have fished the 32 Contender both times. We have our own high performance Center Console and the Contenders are equally as comfortable and actually ride better than ours. Fishing tackle and our guide have been top end. Best if all are the lodge staff and dining. Five star food at dinner in the open air dining room, and the customer service team of Charlbert and Anderson were exceptional. We will be going back.
