Clean room but tired. Bathroom might benefit from better cleaning. Nice bed and cold air con. Minibar and snack are not refilled so may wish to take photo when you get in to avoid potential issues.
Hotel very popular with families and conference, so expect very crowded lifts (hence delay) and noise in the corridor. Hint of smoke which might have permeated from ducting from other floor(s) at one juncture but not problematic.
Rooms are very clean and spacious! Located right opposite Merdeka Square and Medan City Railway Station. Due to it facing the busy road and area, the noise level can get high (but bearable) if there are events held nearby. Sauna, hot & cold pools available (seperated by gender) are clean and come with lockers & shower facilities. Outdoor swimming pool was well maintained too. Staff were generally quite polite too.
Are we sure this is a 5 star hotel? Service was good, staff are friendly. Location is ok. Rooms need a bit of maintenance. The air con is TOO loud, particularly noticeable at night. No earplugs, no sleep! And connecting rooms are a nightmare if your neighbour wants to be loud all night. With so many rooms why would they allocate adjoining before normal? We had to change room after the first night. Hotel is OK overall
I had a wonderful experience at Mikie Holiday Hotel. The room was spacious and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The amenities were top-notch and well-maintained. What stood out the most was the staff – incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle-free stay!
C'est vraiment bien, je reviendrai ici si je vais à Medan, l'hôtel est propre, le service est correct, il y a un café, il y a un bar wow, c'est vraiment génial... en gros c'est un incontournable pour ceux-là voyager à Medan
We had a pleasant stay overall. The room was very clean, though a bit small for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety, and the rooftop café was a nice place to relax, although the food and drinks were a bit overpriced. The resort layout feels a bit compact since it’s built on terraced land. One thing we missed was the cozy, local village vibe that Tuk Tuk is known for—the atmosphere here felt a bit more generic. Still, considering the limited similar-level options in Tuk Tuk, this resort is a decent choice and I’d consider staying here again.
Stayed at Kama Hotel Medan and loved the modern, squeaky-clean vibes - definitely a fresh spot! Got upgraded to a spacious room, which was a nice surprise and much appreciated. But, holy majolie Batman! The night turned into a symphony of screaming motorbikes and zooming cars, thanks to the hipster youngsters treating the street like their personal racetrack. It’s a lively hangout zone, so pack earplugs if you’re not into the midnight Grand Prix soundtrack.
Location-wise, the is a delightful gem. A breezy 10-minute stumble from Medan train station, stone throw from the eerie charm of Tjong A Fie Mansion, and right across from Tip Top Restaurant and Bakery, where you can grab a pastry to munch while contemplating the chaos of the hipster-infested streets. Perfect spot if you enjoy your mornings with a side of historical haunt and your nights dodging motorbike mayhem. 😈
This hotel is actually better than I thought it would be. I got an executive room for a really good price. The room had air conditioning, a TV, a refrigerator, and a safe. The food is cheap, even cheaper than a lot of the food outside the hotel. I had Nasi Goreng Kampung, Seafood Capcay, Corn Egg Soup, and three servings of rice, all for only 120k. And it was all delicious! There's a big variety of food and drinks in the morning, but you have to get there early!
1st time staying there..
Like the location.. near to Berastagi Supermarket and eatery.
Security was top notch.
Love the Blue Bird taxi standby ....
Front desk is very professional..
Cleanliness of Housekeeping is good and efficient
Facility is decent, room for improvement on keeping and maintain the place...
Only upset during the stay was the restaurant... Service not top notch to brand name..
Opted for the pre dawn / Sahur breakfast... Very much disappointment on selection, quantity and quality.
Top up very late.. n the egg station.. need to let the staff go for training..
Room is huge and super clean. Toilet come with bathtub and shower in different cubicle. Absolutely posh. The breakfast is above and beyond. I really enjoy the food as the have so many different varieties and the breakfast also serve on the top floor where the view of the surrounding of medan is part of the meal. Just breathtaking! I would come to this hotel if i were to visit medan in near future!

SStcmallThe hotel was good, breakfast is delicious, the pool is located on the top of building was gorgeous view.
TTrip.com local guidesIt’s a decent place with comfy beds and cooling air conditioning. But the problem is that the blower wasn’t mounted properly and is shaking like a sugar cane juice machine. Other than that no issue with the room. There is a welcome drink, to claim it you should go to a lounge on the second floor. When you get there they present you a menu and ask you to select a drink, only after you order the drink off their menu do they actually bring the welcome drink telling you that the drink you ordered is also on its way. I honestly believe it’s a gimmick or a scam. Very disappointed.

FFirmin AdobahJ'ai adoré le personnel, mon séjour était agréable surtout le cadre calme soft et accueillant. Une des réceptionniste m'a le plus marqué c'était Ririn. Elle était wonderfull. Je vous conseille ce hôtel
IInvitéSo, me and my husband went to medan recently and decided to stay in this hotel for 2 days. I would say that it ws NOT a pleasant stay. There ws this musty smell at the corridor and in the room. The building is not being maintained well, we can say. There ws cricket in the room .*scared the **** of me*.
Even from the start, the air cond ws nt cold enough and there ws so weird noise if we decrease the temperature, bt we wr told that its already at its maximum coldness and the noise will goes off in a while. Hahaha. As expected, the air cond ws nt functioning in the middle of the night. Hmmmm... we decided to shift to another hotel the next day.
So, please maintain your hotel, guys. 🙏 🙏 🙏
LLi Koon HengGreat lakeview view and location except the resort looked a little tired given the age. We had several rooms and one of them the toilet bowl could not flush. Steamboat dinner and breakfast had good varieties. Did not get to enjoy the facilities except the karaoke at night since most closed at 5pm and weekdays. Massage slots were limited.
BBroeryI used to stay here during my golfing days more than 10 yrs ago. This time I came alone.
The shower is erratic, flow haywire, No Live music at Lobby Lounge, Karaoke is Closed, and my room is facing the pool,so Noisy and Loud at New year 31/12 celebration.
TV channels adequate, coffee Tea r good.
Breakfast, average and boring.

BBenjamin DavidHands down the best hotel in Medan!
Breakfast is incredible with the best iced coffee I have ever had. Service is so excellent with at least 3-4 of the staff coming to my table to bring me made to order eggs, made to order French toast, coffees, etc.
Brian was great!
TTanMerryPleasant Stay with Great Location, But Room Needs Some Improvements
The hotel is in a strategic location — very easy to access shopping malls and local attractions such as Jalan Semarang (great street food!), the train station to Kualanamu Airport.
The lobby is cozy, and the front desk staff are welcoming and fluent in English, which made the check-in process smooth and comfortable.
Breakfast was enjoyable, with a variety of local dishes such as lontong sayur, porridge, local snacks, toast, and a limited salad bar. There’s also a coffee machine available.
I really appreciated the beautiful hotel corridors — has different wallpaper colors and soft carpets, which create a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.
However, the room itself could use some upgrades. The furniture, especially the wardrobe, felt damp and outdated. The mattress was saggy and uncomfortable, and the standing shower flooded easily during use.
It would also be helpful to have a proper dressing table or at least a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. The lighting in the room was too dim for makeup or grooming.
Overall, it’s a convenient and welcoming place to stay, but a few updates in the rooms would greatly enhance the experience.
