The staff were really lovely and I'm sure that had I have spoken Chinese, the things I'm about to say would've been different as I would've been able to explain them over the phone and get them rectified.  CONS: I didn't get there until almost 1 am due to a flight delay and then missing the last MTR, so by the time I did get there all I wanted was a hot bath and a quiet night's sleep. Firstly, the room had definitely had smokers in it previously. They may have done a treatment but it was still noticeable. Secondly, there was 'hair' in the bathtub from a previous occupant. So I definitely didn't use it. Thirdly, I got almost no sleep – even though the bed was really comfortable – because the smoke alarm in the room needed its battery replaced and spent all night making that very loud high-pitched sound that you cannot ignore! Now again, had I've been able to pick up the phone and ask them to come and sort it, it could have been a different story, but... PROS: the room was a great size, and the bathroom had both a spa bath and a walk-in shower. It also was very large and is well set up for customers to drive their vehicle into the ground floor of the unit then go up the stairs to the first floor where the actual room is. The staff were very nice and welcoming even though I arrived so late and even gave me some instant noodle cups. I also got a voucher for breakfast, but didn't end up getting to use it as I was too tired to get out of bed and go there before it finished.  I may not be the target clientele for this establishment, and while this particular stay had farcical elements, now that I know what it's like and how it works, I probably would stay there again simply due to how nice the staff were. It's not their fault that I don't speak Chinese. 

Dans l'ensemble, j'ai passé un agréable séjour. Le service était bon et le personnel s'est montré serviable tout au long de mon séjour. La chambre était très propre et bien entretenue, ce qui a rendu le séjour confortable. J'ai aussi beaucoup aimé les designs thématiques uniques des chambres, ils ont ajouté une touche agréable à l'expérience. Une chose à noter est que le service de ménage pendant le séjour n'est disponible qu'avec un coût supplémentaire, ce qui pourrait être gênant pour certains clients. Le petit-déjeuner fourni était assez basique, composé d'un sandwich et d'une boisson. Il serait formidable si l'hôtel pouvait l'étendre à un buffet ou offrir une plus grande variété d'options. L'emplacement est pratique, à environ 5 minutes à pied de la station de MRT, avec des supérettes comme FamilyMart et 7-Eleven à proximité. Le temps pendant mon séjour était agréablement frais, autour de 19°C, ce qui a contribué au confort général.

Location is excellent and close proximity to HSR Zuoying. Pretty rundown in terms of amenities. No elevator and it’s hard for me to climb up the stairs with luggages.

I stayed at Discovery Motel Nan’gang for three nights. While the pricing is reasonable and the included simple breakfast is appreciated, it’s important to note that this motel is designed with couples in mind and is not suitable for families or those seeking a more traditional hotel experience. The key advantage is its convenience for those traveling by car — each room has a dedicated parking spot right in front of the door, which makes access very easy. The location is relatively accessible by car, but may not be ideal for guests relying on public transportation. Overall, it offers good value for specific types of travelers, especially couples or solo drivers, but I would not recommend it for family stays.

La chambre 607 possède un balcon, une grande baignoire, un four et un fauteuil de massage : elle est incroyablement confortable ! Le petit-déjeuner est copieux, mais en cas de forte affluence, il se peut que vous deviez partager une table, ce qui est un peu dommage pour une personne seule. L'hôtel nous a même offert un bon de réduction au moment du départ, ce qui est très appréciable ! Je reviendrai sans hésiter !

Bien que l'équipement soit un peu plus ancien, ce que je tiens à féliciter, c'est que l'attitude du service est super bonne. J'espère que la chambre double pourra avoir plusieurs petites tables, ce qui est plus pratique pour manger et boire🤣

La chambre est spacieuse dans l'ensemble, la salle de bain et la chambre étant à peu près de la même taille. La douche a une forte pression et un débit d'eau abondant. Malheureusement, l'éclairage de la chambre est faible, ce qui empêche de faire autre chose que dormir, ce qui la rend inadaptée aux voyageurs d'affaires. L'insonorisation est également médiocre ; quiconque utilise l'eau entend clairement le bruit dans toute la pièce. De plus, il est peu pratique de manger dans la chambre, avec seulement un canapé et aucune table ni chaises appropriées. Le quartier est calme, donc si vous souhaitez dîner au restaurant, comptez au moins 20 minutes à pied pour rejoindre un quartier plus animé.

The Jacuzzi and Sauna was great to have with the gloomy and rainy weather. Definitely will book again of we are back in YiLan. First experience of a ”motor hotel”. Would be great if they installed the bidet seats and have the kitchenette/Bar equipped for simple dine in. The lady at the ”reception” is fantastic and made us feel so welcomed.

Un petit défaut est que ils n'ont pas reçu de bons billets de petit déjeuner lors de leur séjour. Ils ont déjà fait un bon petit déjeuner. Plus de 12 heures à la nuit. Ils ont appelé pour confirmer 🙄
