Review: - Location: Near the city's opera house, so it's very much in the city. - From the hotel, it's easy to walk to the train station, the Christmas market, and other tourist attractions. - The area around the hotel has a shopping mall across the street, and nearby there are KFC, McDonald's, and plenty of restaurants. - However, the area in front of the hotel looks a bit messy because there are some closed shops and homeless people living there. They seem to be living in the area, but it's not scary. - The hotel has staff at the front desk at all times, so it feels quite safe. - I got a room on the sixth floor at the back, which was quiet and not much noise disturbance. - The hotel has quite a few rooms, but they are well-designed, not crowded, and there's no noise from other rooms. - My room had a view of the back, and I could see the city's church. - The room was okay. They gave me an extra-large room, probably for people who need wheelchair access. Because the bathroom was incredibly spacious! - There's no partition in the bathroom at all. - The room design is a bit strange, L-shaped with a window and sofa area. - But the sofa faces the wall. - The bed is okay, comfortable to sleep on. - There's a table with a chair and a place to put luggage. - The shower and toilet are combined, and there's no shower curtain or partition. - The whole room gets wet when you shower. - The shower is a showerhead type, and the toiletries are in pump bottles. - There's a cabinet with a fan inside. - There's a clothes hanger. - The window can be opened. - The room doesn't smell of cigarettes or anything from outside. It's okay to leave the window open. - Overall, it's convenient, clean, and the bed is good. I like the location; it's very convenient for sightseeing in the city.

Belles chambres et personnel sympathique. Il n'y a pas de commerces ni de restaurants autour de l'hôtel, il faut donc marcher ou prendre le tram. La salle de sport est grande et propre. Cependant, elle nécessite des haltères de moins de 12 kg. L'utilisation des poids libres est réservée aux culturistes et aux personnes capables de soulever 50 kg !

J'ai séjourné au Van der Valk Hotel Spa lors d'un voyage en solo et j'ai été très satisfait du choix. L'hôtel est idéalement situé - en plein centre de la ville de Spa, à côté des thermes et d'un parc verdoyant où il est agréable de se promener et de se détendre. La chambre était très confortable, propre et bien équipée. J'ai été particulièrement satisfait de la salle de bain spacieuse et du lit confortable - tout a contribué à un repos confortable. L'hôtel offre une atmosphère calme, ce qui est particulièrement important lorsque vous voyagez seul. Le personnel était attentionné et sympathique, toujours prêt à aider et à répondre aux questions. Le petit déjeuner était varié : viennoiseries fraîches, fruits, plats chauds - tout était savoureux et soigneusement servi. Pour moi, cet endroit est devenu un excellent point de récupération et de redémarrage. Si vous voyagez seul et recherchez le confort et la tranquillité, le Van der Valk Hotel Spa vaut vraiment la peine d'être pris en considération. Je serais ravi de revenir !

Les hôtels proche des gares ont souvent mauvaise réputation. Celui là est une très bonne surprise. Accueil agréable. Personnel sympathique. Chambre agréable propre et bien agencée. Literie confortable. Hotel calme et bien insonorisé, Rien ne manque. Petit déjeuner qualitatif, varié et copieux. Juste la barre de douche et la paroi de douche dans la salle de bain à refixer mais c’est un détail.

We had a good stay at Aux Etangs. The hotel staff were friendly and the room was clean and quiet. It’s a good location to explore the Ardennes region. Acces by car is good but public transport might be challenging. As there are not a lot of eateries nearby we ate at the connected restaurant. The food was good but the waitress for our table was not very helpful. We asked if she could speak slower but she just continued at the same rate. We felt we didn’t get the same level of service compared to the other tables due to our fluency in French. In the end: nice food but upgrade your French first. We would come back for the hotel but not the restaurant.

L'hôtel est propre et la situation est bonne. Mais l'isolation du mur est très pauvre. La première nuit je ne peux pas dormir jusqu'à 4 heures du matin. J'ai constamment entendu le toilette flutter, la chaise roule, le son marche et la porte bougeant au-dessus de notre chambre. Nous nous en sommes plaints le matin suivant, mais la réception a dit : « pourquoi ne nous l'avez-vous pas fait savoir hier soir ? » Je voulais que je puisse, mais il n'y a pas de ligne téléphonique dans la chambre pour appeler la réception, et je ne voulais pas monter de mon lit et aller en bas pour le signaler. La réception n'a pas pardonné. Je l'ai trouvé très rude. Je ne recommanderais pas cet hôtel à mes amis ou à mes familles.

On a l'impression d'être dans un hôtel 5 étoiles. Le hall est agréable avec une bibliothèque, un salon, du café, de la crème, du thé et de l'eau gratuits. Il y a une cuisine et des chambres spacieuses et confortables avec 8 lits en bois munis de rideaux. Les casiers se verrouillent avec la carte d'entrée, pas besoin de cadenas. Douche et toilettes privées. Il y a une terrasse avec vue sur la gare, qui est à 50 mètres. Un endroit excellent et très abordable. Je le recommande vivement.

Excellent stay!! Staffs are all so welcoming and friendly. After check in they will guide you to the room and do a little introduction of the surrounding areas as well as hotel’s amenities. Room is very specious and cosy. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, which were both great. Food is delicious, has lots of selections of wines, and the service makes you feel like at home. Would definitely want to come back again. Highly recommend this lovely place to everyone.

Heel goed en schoon hotel. De medewerkers zijn vriendelijk. De zaal beneden bij de receptie is gezellig! Alleen een tip: het kleine bed maakt een irritant geluid. Verder is alles heel goed en netjes.
