From the outside, the hotel makes a charming first impression with its elegant façade, ornate balconies, and a warmly lit lobby that exudes a sense of old-world charm. The check-in process is smooth, and the staff are courteous and eager to help. The room was clean and spacious, the décor is a bit dated but it adds a character to the place and I like it. The only small issue was, there’s no window only a door to the balcony which is locked and we cannot access it making the room stuffy. Also, it was difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep due to a noise of exhaust fan in the bathroom throughout the night. The bed was comfortable and having an iron was a bonus. Will I stay again? Definitely.

Great little hotel right next to the rear exit of the train station, Fiver to park as a guest, pay at reception. Nice european feel style breaky with cheese and ham available as well as the usual continetal buffet. Similar room style to other purple chain. Comfy beds, modern style.

The hotel is well located with Maccies next door and other shops. The room was tidy but the bed sheets didn't seem to be fresh. The bathroom had a faulty shower head and a cracked floor tile. Staff were present and friendly, quiet at night. Overall it's not to bad for the price you pay.

The main building was pretty good. Compared to the main building, the rooms besides the courtyard where we lived in were rather basic. Everything was good enough apart from the heating system and toilet. The floor and toilet were pretty freezing. Fortunately, the lady in the reception brought us a small heater. It did help. Also, the flush of the toilet couldn't work properly.

Staff brilliant. Value brilliant. Absolute bargain.  Hot Breakfast was average which was an extra tenner but it had a good selection of cereal, toast, yoghurt. Rooms were basic but in a good way. Everything you need for a cheap stay. Clean. Only small gripe was pillows weren’t the best so next time I’ll bring my own. Some may like the more flat pillows. Thanks IBIS derby.

Overall, a very pleasant experience and the hotel is very well located for the railway station and amenities. The town centre is approximately a 15 minute walk away. Couple of downsides to my stay though, bed was very hard and lumpy, broken tiles in the bathroom, ***** hairs on the toilet base and worst of all, semen stains on the wall. Doesn't say much for the hygiene standards at all. It's a shame that these let our stay down for us really. Otherwise the hotel would've been great.

We stayed for 1 night for a special occasion. On arrival we were told that the spa was closed for an event which was very disappointing as I booked this hotel because of the spa & had planned to use the pool & sauna. This should gave been communicated at the time of booking. The building and grounds were impressive but on arrival our featured superior room was freezing cold. The reception turned on the heating at our request but this should have been done hours before our arrival given that it was 8 degrees outside. We sat for an hour in the room with our coats on before asking for a portable heater due to the radiators being only lukewarm. The room never really got warm & when we came back from dinner at 9.15 the heating had been turned off again & we had to ask for it to be turned on again. The food in the restaurant was very good & the servers were lovely but unorganised. We planned to have a drink in the hotel bar but it was so cold that it was empty and not comfortable to stay. I heard kore than one staff member complain about the cold in the hotel. What could have been a very pleasant stay was spoiled by the cold. Unfortunately, we will not return.

Le service était bon. Résidé pour une nuit. Le lit avait des cheveux qui devaient être mentionnés à la réception pour un changement de chambre, le coucher n'était pas non plus dans un grand état. Sinon, pas mauvais pour le prix. Le plus cher dans la zone. Location est OK cependant il faut voyager environ 10 minutes pour aller à un centre commercial local ou un supermarché pour acheter tout aliment décent b
