The location is ideal, in downtown Houston, a few blocks away from the convention center and discovery park. The building is beautiful and historic with a gorgeous lobby, comfortable chairs, a cafe/latte/cappuccino machine, and cute restaurant open for breakfast lunch and dinner. I was on the 12th floor in the rusk house portion of the building which had very nice rooms that were ideal for single people. There was a coffee maker but no fridge, which I did not miss. The bedding was beautiful and had daily housekeeping, nicely appointed products in the bathroom. I had a four night stay and loved everything about the space. I would highly recommend it especially considering how much cheaper it is than other hotels.

The hotel itself is very nice, and the valet and bellhop staff were exceptionally friendly. The location is excellent, right on the Riverwalk, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure; however, if you’re tall, the shower head placement is not ideal—my husband is 5’10” and had to duck to use it.
We would consider staying again, but on our last morning the toilet clogged and overflowed onto the floor. This was frustrating, especially since very little toilet paper had been used. Most people would consider a toilet overflow an urgent issue that requires immediate attention. We called for assistance, but no one ever came. It seemed as though staff assumed they could wait since we had a couple of hours before checkout, which was disappointing. As a result, my husband had to go to the ground floor to use the restroom, and we had to navigate around toilet water on the bathroom floor while getting ready.

Good location near the airport, large room, comfortable bed, but very noisy air conditioning. Breakfast sufficient. The shuttle bus goes to the airport every hour and goes to all the terminals. The hotel has an elevator, even if it only has three floors.

La chambre et les installations sont très bonnes et le petit déjeuner est riche. Il y a un problème. J'ai séjourné trois jours et j'ai eu une toilette. En outre, je suis arrivé à trois heures du matin, j'ai attendu longtemps pour ouvrir la porte.

Juste à Noël, la salle est très climatisée et la chambre est également bonne. La santé n'est pas satisfaisante, il y a un niveau de gris gris sur la lampe de la terre, le serveur a nettoyé l'assainissement sans être soigneusement, il a juste couché le lit, il n'est pas arrangé sur le bureau, le bain de visage n'est pas déshydraté. En résumé, les marques intercontinentales ne correspondent pas.

La communication était grande, il y avait un problème avec la chaleur dans ma chambre et ils ont changé ma chambre sans aucun problème.
Il était un peu froid dans le lobby mais autre chose, mon séjour était super!

It's in a strategic location just 5 mins walk to the riverwalk area. The hotel is quite old with a small wooden cupboard in the room. The parking is very expensive but I guess that's a normal rate within the area. For the price, it's still a good place to stay for it's location.

This is a lovely hotel with a fabulous breakfast. It is steps away from San Fernando Mission, The Alamo and of course the Riverwalk. The rooms are very clean and the Customer Service Staff is excellent. The adjoining hotel has a rooftop bar which is a must for great sunsets. You can get the Trolley on the San Fernando Mission plaza and it's a good way to see the City with 2 day pass.

GGwenyvere9Check-in was a breeze and Veronica at the front desk was very pleasant. Once in the room, because I cleaned up water spilt on the floor, I found the white toilet paper turned absolutely black AND with ***** hairs on it to boot. All this within 1sq ft. I called the lobby and asked how often the floors were mopped. I was told “every day.” I related what I had found to the contrary and was asked if I wished to change rooms to which I said “yes!”. When I went down to retrieve the new key, I took the wadded toilet paper with me and she took a picture of it before throwing it in the garbage! There were two very large, well lit, vending machines in a hallway off the main lobby, and the ice machine was in good working order and the ice, clean and solidly frozen.  I decided I was too tired to check and see if the new rooms’ floor was dirty or not so I proceeded to not ever walk on the floor with my bare feet. The day manager, Mari, was very nice and the coffee was hot fresh out of the thermos on the side table…hot water and tea bags also available. If you detest “sweet ‘n low” bring your own natural sugar.
I ran into the head of housekeeping and happened to mention how disgustingly dirty the floors were in my first room, and I informed her that the night manager had taken a picture of what I had wiped up on my piece of toilet paper and she said she would go and ask to see it. I later learned that Mayra had indeed done so. So that was good attention to detail. Everything in the room worked fine including the remote and TV, the microwave was spotless and looked brand new and it even had a childproof lock on it for those families traveling with curious offspring that haven’t internalized the meaning of “NO” yet 😵💫. The refrigerator was spotless and new looking as well. WiFi was strong and reliable. I walked by the pool, which I noticed was closed (understandable for this time of year!). It was full of water, but I must say that it looked the equivalent of a Louisiana swamp and I was prepared to see a ‘gator come climbing up those darkened, slimy stairs at any point in time.😆 The parking lot at night is VERY well lit around the entire property which is a very welcome sight!
Being right off the interstate doesn’t provide for any exciting venues to walk to but there IS a wonderful grocery store (HEB) .7miles away straight down Rundeburg on Lamar/Rundeburg. Other than that there are a plethora of food trucks doling out South American ‘cuisine’ just yards from the front of the hotel as well as across the street. I didn’t try any of them so cannot opine.

IInvitéLa chambre était très belle et mise à jour. La situation était excellente et à une distance de marche au concert Kid Rock. Il était sur la voie navigable, donc il a fait la marche agréable ....proche des restaurants aussi. Le parking dans le garage de l'hôtel est abordable à 17 $ pour 24 heures.

IInvitéthe fact its only 3 cons to this place 1. can't control the air/heat 2. hve to light the gas stove with a lighter which is dangerous 3. cnt smoke anywhere in the property (which i didnt kno til this month when the receptionist (tht didnt check us in) came being rude because it doesn't say it online the rules nor anywhere on the property just no smoking in the room but other then that it was wonderful i loved the set up & for the ppl who may sleep over late tht late check out fee is something serious so please read (i didnt hve to pay just saw it) this is definitely a hidden gem for such a cheap price theres places higher then this & you dont even get half the things that where in the room

MMatthewL'AC de la chambre était inconsistent, difficile à trouver la température correcte.
La chambre que nous avions était juste derrière les ascenseurs, il était difficile de dormir les entendre aller sans arrêt jusqu'à 3 heures.
La salle de bain était également extrêmement noire et difficile à voir même dans le miroir.
