It was a delightful stay at the Forest View Villa. The food was delicious, especially the rolled pancakes for breakfast and the view amazing. We highly recommend this place.
As the train connection between Kandy and Ella is not yet (end of February 2026) working, due to the devastating cyclon in December 25, you might want to consider asking your host to drive you. It might be less stressful than changing busses 3 times.

The hotel is hidden away in the mountains outside Kandy, a great spot to relax and unwind. It is about 45 minutes out of central Kandy and 20 minutes to the botanical gardens but the hotel will helpfully arrange transport if you decide to head into town. The view from the hotel is one of the best I have ever seen and sitting, relaxing in the beautiful grounds was one of the highlights of our time in Sri Lanka. The hotel food is also excellent, with a wide variety of delicious curries available. All of the staff are extremely friendly, warm and welcoming, they went out of their way to make sure we had a good time They also have a very affectionate dog, which was a huge win!

We recently stayed at W15 Glenfall Nuwara Eliya on a bed & breakfast basis, and overall it was a very pleasant experience.
We were given one of the most centered rooms with the largest balcony, offering a lovely view — definitely a highlight of our stay. The room was spacious, very clean, and well equipped, with tea and coffee making facilities available. The interior felt luxurious and cozy, and the entire property is well maintained.
The washroom was quite large, with basic amenities provided, and they mentioned via WhatsApp that any additional items could be requested. However, I requested two dental kits and even followed up twice, but unfortunately they were not delivered.
Check-in was smooth and quick, and parking is conveniently available with a friendly and helpful security officer. The small lawn area is also nicely maintained and adds to the charm of the property.
Their pre-order dining system is quite efficient, dinner needs to be ordered before 6 pm and breakfast before 10 pm the previous night. The food was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the English breakfast, which was very well prepared.
The staff were generally attentive and helpful, contributing positively to the stay. However, it would be nice to see a welcome drink at check-in, and since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, a small gesture like a cake or simple decoration would have made it more special. Also, the rooms are not fully soundproof, as some noise from the kitchen and lobby could be heard.
Overall, it’s a beautiful and comfortable property in Nuwara Eliya, ideal for a relaxing getaway. With a few improvements in attention to detail, the experience could be even better. 🌿✨

L'environnement global est bon, la position est un peu éloignée, loin de la ville de Liu, le paysage est très bon. L'insuffisance est que les installations intérieures sont plus anciennes, les lumières sont sombres, le bain est plus simple et les verrouillages sont plus anciens.

A really lovely house, clean and in a quiet location outside of the centre of town.
The absolute star of this listing is the host Shameera who is one of the best there could be. He’s incredibly responsive on WhatsApp and always on hand with great tips and ideas on where to go and what to do. His breakfast was also exemplary.

La chambre à trois est deux lits doubles de la même taille, un étage, un étage, un étage, en fait, nous avons deux grandes et deux petites hébergements complètement inconfortables, et la zone de la chambre est très grande. La position est très pratique, bien que sur la demi-colline, il est possible de conduire environ trois ou cinq minutes. Le seul manque est le restaurant. Il est préférable de prévenir le dîner à l'hôtel, car il y a un chef à la maison, tout est fait maintenant. Nous avons probablement assis dans le restaurant pendant 40 minutes pour aller à la cuisine.

Une maison très agréable! Pas de réception, le directeur direct vous aide à prendre la chambre. Le bois utilisé dans la chambre est vraiment 🔑! L'eau chaude n'est pas très stable, le bain se refroidira un peu. Dans la piscine, malheureusement, je ne peux pas ouvrir après six heures de la nuit.

MMENGUne très jolie petite villa avec boissons et biscuits lors du séjour, le service est bon. Il y a un total de six chambres, et il y a un salon dans le grenier avec un billard. La décoration est très sympa. La prise est une prise à trou rond et nous avons besoin d'une prise de conversion. Il y a une bouilloire dans la chambre. Le mauvais endroit est que la chasse d'eau des toilettes ne peut pas être lavée et que le robinet du lavabo est mauvais. Parce que je suis resté une nuit, je n'ai pas commenté.

We are astonished about this hidden
gem. As we came in we were
welcomed with fantastic passion fruit juice.
We came after dark & only requested simple
white rice & fried vegetable but the chef
and her staff made an amazing dinner with
simple vegetable & rice.
I realized how food prepared with heart
can heal our soul.
I was kept thinking if people in the world
could eat this kind of food with real
soul in it, could heal the whole world!!
It is so amazing to be
surrounded by
beautiful trees
&sounds of animals.
I will definitely come back again. O

IInvitéNous avons apprécié notre séjour à l'hôtel Ganthera et le personnel était amiable, mais la chambre elle-même aurait pu être améliorée. Les chambres sont très confortables et sont très confortables.
La porte avant est fermée à la nuit, si vous devez partir tôt - le personnel n'en est pas attentif.

IInvitéSuper mooie locatie en de mensen zijn erg vriendelijk. Alleen waar we tegenaan liepen is dat alles enorm vochtig was. Beddengoed, vloer, badkamer, handdoeken. Er konden nergens ramen open dus het vocht blijft hangen. Ontbijt was prima, erg westers - dus als je daarnaar op zoek bent dan is het top.
In de woonkamer zie je de waterschade op de muren..
er werd achter onze kamer gerookt (buiten) en de rooklucht trok enorm naar binnen, alsof er naast je gerookt werd. Al met al is dit geen plek waar we terug willen komen, ongeacht de vriendelijke mensen.

IInvitéOne of the most amazing properties i have stayed at. Both Bandhara and Madu, the butler and chef, were amazing. They were attentive, responsive and spot on..great work guys..very impressed.
The property does full justice to the $. The location, the chants from the Buddhist temple in the valley create the utmost serene atmosphere. Every amenity is top end and every detail looked after. Will visit again for sure and will highly recommend..cheers
