We recently stayed at W15 Glenfall Nuwara Eliya on a bed & breakfast basis, and overall it was a very pleasant experience. We were given one of the most centered rooms with the largest balcony, offering a lovely view — definitely a highlight of our stay. The room was spacious, very clean, and well equipped, with tea and coffee making facilities available. The interior felt luxurious and cozy, and the entire property is well maintained. The washroom was quite large, with basic amenities provided, and they mentioned via WhatsApp that any additional items could be requested. However, I requested two dental kits and even followed up twice, but unfortunately they were not delivered. Check-in was smooth and quick, and parking is conveniently available with a friendly and helpful security officer. The small lawn area is also nicely maintained and adds to the charm of the property. Their pre-order dining system is quite efficient, dinner needs to be ordered before 6 pm and breakfast before 10 pm the previous night. The food was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the English breakfast, which was very well prepared. The staff were generally attentive and helpful, contributing positively to the stay. However, it would be nice to see a welcome drink at check-in, and since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, a small gesture like a cake or simple decoration would have made it more special. Also, the rooms are not fully soundproof, as some noise from the kitchen and lobby could be heard. Overall, it’s a beautiful and comfortable property in Nuwara Eliya, ideal for a relaxing getaway. With a few improvements in attention to detail, the experience could be even better. 🌿✨

Une très jolie petite villa avec boissons et biscuits lors du séjour, le service est bon. Il y a un total de six chambres, et il y a un salon dans le grenier avec un billard. La décoration est très sympa. La prise est une prise à trou rond et nous avons besoin d'une prise de conversion. Il y a une bouilloire dans la chambre. Le mauvais endroit est que la chasse d'eau des toilettes ne peut pas être lavée et que le robinet du lavabo est mauvais. Parce que je suis resté une nuit, je n'ai pas commenté.

J'ai récemment séjourné dans cet hôtel et, malgré quelques points positifs, certains problèmes majeurs ont gâché mon expérience. 🌄 Beauté du paysage La vue depuis l'établissement est incontestablement époustouflante – un de ses atouts majeurs. Que ce soit au lever ou au coucher du soleil, le cadre offre une escapade paisible et pittoresque. 🛏️ Qualité des chambres Les chambres étaient correctes : propres, confortables et fonctionnelles. Sans être luxueuses, elles convenaient parfaitement pour un court séjour. Quelques améliorations au niveau de la décoration ou des équipements pourraient rendre l'expérience plus agréable. 🍽️ Problèmes de restauration Malheureusement, la restauration a été une grande déception. Après le petit-déjeuner, j'ai souffert de douleurs abdominales ressemblant à une intoxication alimentaire. Difficile d'en être certain, mais le moment et les symptômes laissent penser que le repas en était la cause. C'était décevant et inquiétant, surtout compte tenu de l'importance de la sécurité alimentaire dans l'hôtellerie. ⚖️ Impression générale L'hôtel a du potentiel – superbes vues et chambres acceptables – mais l'expérience culinaire a sérieusement gâché mon séjour. J'espère qu'ils prendront des mesures pour améliorer l'hygiène en cuisine et la qualité des aliments à l'avenir.

Melheim Kandy Villas is a charming hillside retreat that blends comfort, nature, and warm hospitality beautifully. Nestled amidst lush greenery with sweeping views of the Kandy hills, it offers a peaceful escape from the bustle of the city while still being within a reasonable drive to key attractions. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with large windows or balconies that let you soak in the serene surroundings. The beds are comfortable, and the overall ambiance feels homely yet refined. While the property is generally well-maintained, a few minor maintenance touches could make it even better. One of the highlights is the service — the staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and eager to make your stay memorable. The breakfast is hearty and flavorful, often featuring fresh local produce, and dining on the terrace with a view is a treat in itself

The hotel is hidden away in the mountains outside Kandy, a great spot to relax and unwind. It is about 45 minutes out of central Kandy and 20 minutes to the botanical gardens  but the hotel will helpfully arrange transport if you decide to head into town. The view from the hotel is one of the best I have ever seen and sitting, relaxing in the beautiful grounds was one of the highlights of our time in Sri Lanka. The hotel food is also excellent, with a wide variety of delicious curries available. All of the staff are extremely friendly, warm and welcoming, they went out of their way to make sure we had a good time They also have a very affectionate dog, which was a huge win!

It was absolutely amazing experience. We came from Japan & came to highland area to escape the city busyness. We are astonished about this hidden gem. As we came in we were welcomed with fantastic passion fruit juice. We came after dark & only requested simple white rice & fried vegetable but the chef and her staff made an amazing dinner with simple vegetable & rice. I realized how food prepared with heart can heal our soul. I was kept thinking if people in the world could eat this kind of food with real soul in it, could heal the whole world!! It is so amazing to be surrounded by beautiful trees &sounds of animals. I will definitely come back again. O

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour à l'hôtel Ganthera et le personnel était amiable, mais la chambre elle-même aurait pu être améliorée. Les chambres sont très confortables et sont très confortables. La porte avant est fermée à la nuit, si vous devez partir tôt - le personnel n'en est pas attentif. La salle de bains est très bien située dans le centre de la ville, mais elle est très bien située dans le centre de la ville.

Niché dans un cadre pittoresque, l'hôtel Tea Garden offre un havre de paix, loin de l'agitation du quotidien. Malgré le peu d'équipements, la vue imprenable et l'ambiance paisible compensent largement. Le personnel est très accueillant et disponible. Que vous sirotiez un thé sur la terrasse ou que vous vous promeniez tranquillement dans les jardins luxuriants, chaque instant ici est une parenthèse ressourçante. Si vous recherchez la tranquillité et la beauté naturelle, l'hôtel Tea Garden est la destination idéale.

One of the most amazing properties i have stayed at. Both Bandhara and Madu, the butler and chef, were amazing. They were attentive, responsive and spot on..great work guys..very impressed. The property does full justice to the $. The location, the chants from the Buddhist temple in the valley create the utmost serene atmosphere. Every amenity is top end and every detail looked after. Will visit again for sure and will highly recommend..cheers

It was a delightful stay at the Forest View Villa. The food was delicious, especially the rolled pancakes for breakfast and the view amazing. We highly recommend this place. As the train connection between Kandy and Ella is not yet (end of February 2026) working, due to the devastating cyclon in December 25, you might want to consider asking your host to drive you. It might be less stressful than changing busses 3 times.
