La villa est nettoyée régulièrement et les parties communes sont impeccables. Le ménage des chambres n'est effectué qu'une fois par séjour (12 nuits). Les draps et les serviettes ne sont pas changés. Située dans un quartier calme, la villa se trouve à 15 minutes à pied de la plage. Elle est facilement accessible à vélo. Un café agréable à proximité propose de délicieux rottis pour le petit-déjeuner, et vous pourrez également déjeuner et dîner dans le restaurant d'à côté. Plusieurs supérettes, accessibles à pied, offrent tout le nécessaire.

Le restaurant est très confortable et le restaurant est très confortable. Le personnel était ami, bienvenu et toujours prêt à aider. L'entrée et le départ étaient rapides et fluides. La location était également confortable, avec facile accès aux restaurants, boutiques et attractions voisines.

We had a really enjoyable stay at Comfy Bungalow Family House NR Pg Hill & Kek Lok Si. The house is very spacious, especially the master room, which is huge and super comfortable. Overall, the rooms were good and the air conditioning worked well throughout our stay. The house layout is also convenient: the single room is on the first floor, while the other three rooms are on the second. The stairs are manageable, and there’s a toilet on the first floor plus two on the second floor (one in the master room and one shared), which made it very practical for a group stay. The bunk bed setup is quite unique, but guests may need to be a bit careful when sharing, especially at night, as there isn’t much space for the upper bunk occupant to step down easily. The place was clean and hygienic, with towels and basic amenities provided, and the check-in and check-out instructions were clear and straightforward to follow. The location is a big plus — it’s near the market with lots of great local food options within easy reach, which made the stay even more convenient and enjoyable. There are just a few small areas that could make the experience even better, such as having simple instructions for using the combined microwave and oven, providing hand soap in the toilets and switching off the timer for the dining room aircon. Overall, it’s a comfortable and value-for-money stay, especially for families or groups. We would definitely consider coming back again!

Location was great and the villa itself was nice. However, despite asking multiple times, the host kept denying us a slightly early check-in (e.g. 30 minutes or 1 hour) before the advertised hour of 3 pm. Further, when we finally were given the codes to the place, they were wrong and we were stuck outside the house whilst awaiting for the maintenance team. Instructions were also unclear, which led to us not realising that there is a facility card to pool and gym nearby. Given that the villa is meant to accomodate a big family, the necessities were lacking as there were limited number of tablewares and the pots were only enough for 1-2 persons. Overall, it could have been a much better experience but the service and facilities are severely lacking.

Je recommande vivement cette maison d'hôtes ! Le bâtiment, vestige de l'époque coloniale britannique, possède un charme historique indéniable. La vue depuis la fenêtre est fantastique et rend chaque journée agréable. Le service est également exceptionnel : la communication est fluide et la réactivité remarquable, ce qui a rendu mon séjour très rassurant. Lors de vos voyages, privilégiez sans hésiter les maisons d'hôtes tenues par des Chinois !

Things to note / Cons: · Tourist tax applies (Penang state levy) · Parking may be full until late afternoon — because office workers park there during work hours; clears up after they leave. Not ideal if you arrive before evening. Verdict: A spacious and quiet option with convenient parking (once available) and free Netflix. Just be aware of the Penang tourist tax and potential daytime parking challenges. Best for travellers who can check-in later in the afternoon or evening.
