I used this hotel as a stop off location, the 24hr check in desk came in real handy as I arrived at 2am. Room was clean, no issues with noise and a good set of amenities. Staff were kind and professional, nice stay overall. Will definitely pop by again, hopefully I'll have more time to use the fitness suite. The only thing that bugged me was the pay for parking which I didn't realise, so i paid £7 for parking at the reception when i arrived. Come morning, I've packed up, walked to the car, and gone to leave and the gate states I need to pay £12 to leave. I have to then reverse from the barrier before anyone else comes, park back up and walk back to the reception for them to tell me it's a glitch and that it doesn't sync up sometimes, this just added to an already tight turnaround timings wise. Hopefully they get this fixed.

Le service était très bon. Le personnel était ami et efficace. La chambre et la salle de bain étaient très propres. Le petit déjeuner était excellent et je me suis fait sentir bienvenue et relaxée en tant que dame unique (ce n'est pas toujours le cas dans les hôtels même aujourd'hui).

Le lieu est sans spot et bien entretenu ils sont des charges d'équipements et le petit déjeuner est absolument magnifique plus ils ont besoin d'actualiser leur site Web ils ont climatisation dans les chambres que nous allons certainement revenir.

I actually live in the neighborhood around this hotel, but I booked it to host a friend for the weekend. It's not the easiest option in the vicinity to walk to from the train station, though the walk which goes along the canal for most of the way is super scenic if you have time to spare on arrival. The cab to the hotel was also fairly quick and cost us about fifteen quid. Check-in was super convenient and casual, and the girl working walked us up to the room to introduce all the amenities and features of our room. The room was well equipped but it was a little bit of a disappointment that it didn't have a mini fridge - there aren't a lot of food options or supermarkets in easy walking distance from the hotel, so we had brought some items with us that we had to leave on the windowsill to keep chilled. Overall though the room was great. The lower level living room was a super comfy spot to chill and eat, and then the raised bedroom was incredibly cosy. I'm 5'11” and I will say I almost took myself out on the sloped walls a few times - I imagine anyone taller would have to be very careful. I've noticed that showers in this area generally aren't super hot or pressurised, but the setup here wasn't too bad. The pub below is of course super charming, a great place to sit with a pint and watch the sunset, though we didn't try the food. I will probably come back to this pub, and would stay in the inn again if I ever have any reason to.

It was such a refreshing change to have a cooked‑to‑order breakfast rather than a full buffet, while still being able to help ourselves to fruit, yoghurt, and pastries. Everything was fresh and delicious. We chose to dine at the hotel restaurant on both evenings, and the food was exceptional. The style is very much modern, refined cuisine, and both the duck and the stone bass were beautifully cooked and full of flavour. It felt special without being pretentious. The hotel also has a pub, which has a great atmosphere and adds to the overall charm of the place. Whether you want a relaxed drink or a cosy corner to unwind in, it’s a lovely space. Throughout our stay, the staff were consistently attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to make sure everything was perfect. Their warmth really added to the experience. All in all, we had a truly lovely stay and would happily recommend The Bear of Rodborough to anyone visiting the Cotswolds. We’d love to return.

Extremely well equipped room and bathroom. Full of character. The restaurant is quite noisy but the food and service were excellent. Breakfast was first rate. Location in the centre of Stow is perfect.

Il est rare de trouver un petit déjeuner complimentaire qui dépasse en fait les attentes. Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel magnifique pour mon 60e anniversaire. Avec ma fille. Les vues sont incroyables et l'hôtel lui-même. Grand emplacement le personnel est très bienvenu et courtois. Il y a beaucoup de parking , malheureusement nous n'avons pas eu la possibilité d'utiliser les installations spa. Notre seule chose négative était notre chambre bien que le tapis avait quelques tiges sur elle et nos fenêtres n' étaient pas faciles à ouvrir , et la salle d' entrée à notre chambre était très sale qu' on avait été donné une chambre dans les terrains en dehors de l' hôtel et pour le coût . de notre séjour nous avons été très déçus de voir cette élégance, avec l'hôtel principal et le lobby, etc. Nous avions également reçu une chambre avec une salle de bain qui était plus adaptée à quelqu' un qui avait besoin d' un soutien plus important et bien qu' il n' y ait rien de mal à cela , il serait bon d' avoir un choix de bain aussi et nous avons pensé que quelqu' un autre pourrait avoir Les personnes qui ont bénéficié de cette mise en place sur leur séjour ont été plus aisément perçues.

I had trouble checking in and had to get help from the bar staff who were very helpful The bedrooms were a bit on the small side for 2 people, there was no air conditioning in the bedrooms and it was very hot weather. The breakfast menu was adequate. We did not have dinner at the hotel. The bottom step on the main stairway had no markings on the edge, and one of my party fell down that step on 2 occasions. Fortunately he was not injured, but the matter needs redressing. We pointed it out to one of the bar staff who said he would pass on the comment. The staff were very pleasant at all times.
