Kkudo sayakaI was initially very satisfied with this hotel, but my entire experience was completely ruined on the morning of March 29 at 10:00 AM.
A staff member knocked on my door in an extremely aggressive and urgent manner. Even after I clearly told them to wait, they continued banging loudly on the door without any respect for my privacy.
When I finally opened the door, expecting something urgent or important, I was shocked to find out that they were simply asking whether I needed housekeeping.
This behavior is absolutely unacceptable. There was no emergency, no prior request, and no justification for such intrusive and disrespectful conduct. This was not only unprofessional, but also extremely disturbing.
I do not need or appreciate this kind of forced “morning call.” It shows a serious lack of basic training and respect for guests.
Because of this incident, I immediately decided to check out and leave the hotel. I strongly do NOT recommend this property.

IInvitéThe amazingly lovely smiling friendly & efficient staff at the Beachfront Apts definitely make the stay worthwhile. Aside from that the location away from the main tourist hub areas of Port Vila allows for more relaxation & enjoyment of the gorgeous beach which is totally safe for swimming among locals & sweet dogs. Every Friday just a few steps away is a fantastic fireshow put on by the Beach Bar which also has very good food. Mele Bay area is so nice that we extended from 3 to 10 days!
To get to the town of Port Vila simply walk a couple hundred metres to the main road, flag down a passing minivan with “B’ on the front plate, state your destination & pay about $2 when you get off.
On a food note it’s a bit of a walk along Devil’s Road to get to Island Magic Resort but it’s so worth it to eat at Birdie’s Restaurant! The locals are super nice along the way, calling out “Good night” as you pass them in the dark on the potholed road.
A stay here is highly recommended!

JJODIEDisappointing for a reputable resort. It is very dated, needs an upgrade. Our Lagoon view room and a an adjoining door, the neighbours sounded like they were living in our room. Gym was old, torn equipment & malfunctioning. Room wasn’t ready at 4pm, breakfast kept running out of rentals such, milk, coffee, plates, teacups etc (staff were working hard), when wheeling luggage in path, surface is rough and dangerous. Staff were the exception to our experience, they were friendly and would go out of their way to help.

IInvitéDe nombreux hôtels au Vanuatu n'ont pas de climatisation, et celui-ci semble également y avoir une électricité très chère, donc les habitants ne sont pas habitués à utiliser la climatisation, les chambres sont très bien, un bâtiment séparé, le seul inconvénient est qu'il il fait chaud et il y a des moustiques

The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. Fiona and Anthony did a fantastic job managing the resort — their attention to detail and warm hospitality really stood out.
A special thank you to Anthony, who went above and beyond by personally returning our wallet after we accidentally left it behind in the room. We are truly grateful for such kindness and care. Highly recommend Tamanu for anyone looking for a memorable and stress-free getaway!

MmarialakwacheraJe suis absolument amoureux de cet endroit! La piscine est merveilleuse la vue du lagoon encore plus si. Ils ont thémé buffet nuits, et ont kayaking. La salle de sport est petite, mais elle a les choses de base. Il y a aussi un petit spa. l'hôtel ataff sont merveilleux. J'aimais tout à propos de ça sauf une chose qui n'est pas leur faute -- vous ne pouvez pas nager dans le lago ! !

IInvitéFriendly and helpful staff. The furniture is old and needs to be updated. Hot water is unstable, it was often necessary to rinse with cold water. A broken clock hung on the wall, which was very annoying. At night, small lizards run along the walls inside the bedroom and the ceiling, which made sounds, which is also not pleasant to hear at night. The pillows are long and hard. Dirt accumulated in the washing machine in the tank, which did not wash, but, on the contrary, stained the washed clothes.

CChris LimmerI stayed here for just 2 nights recently, my stay here was magical. All the staff are amazing, so welcoming and frendly. The pool was so nice, a great place to cool off in the hot sun. The harbour views from the room are just breathtaking and some of the best in the world. The waterviews from the restaurant are also amazing. Thank you to everone at The Grand Hotel and Casino for making my stay so enjoyable.
