As people who travel regularly, we place a lot of emphasis on other reviews when booking. I was rather concerned reading previous reviews of this property, but having stayed at multiple other Ritz Carlton’s (Singapore, Koh Samui, Dalllas, Melbourne etc) we hoped the brand would live up to expectations and great experiences at other properties. IT DID NOT! Strongly suggest avoiding this property at all costs. Look at the low ranked reviews, they all make sense to me after staying. This property has us questioning if we would ever stay with this brand again. Amazing isn’t it, how one property can tarnish a brands reputation. We have been overcharged after checkout after settling the bill when leaving (unresolved at this point but will get to that later). The first room we checked into had air conditioning so loud you could not hear the TV. It was also dirty with marks and dust/grime on every surface and excess dog hair on the floor. I went to the front desk and the best they could do was “send someone up to check the A/C. The property was practically empty. This was not good enough! I was fortunate enough to speak with the GM who remedied the room situation immediately. We then dealt with Daniel (who was on loan from Santa Barbara Ritz Carlton) he was a great reflection on the brand. He upgraded us, which was appreciated but not expected, just a room with a reasonable a/c would have been fine. Rooms are very average, worn and not clean. Linen was stained, towels so old some had tears and holes in them. The majority of the staff seemed like they would rather be anywhere else than at the Ritz Carlton South, can’t say I blame them but really let the place down. When dining they would bring the bill before we had finished dining over and over, at times even advising their break was about to start so needed to provide bill, how about you get another staff member to do this… Upon checkout I paid with an alternate card than I used for the security deposit (to avoid international transaction fees). I settled the bill of approx $450usd and away we went. A few days later, a charge of $390usd (approx) appears on my original card used for security deposit (along with an international transaction fee). This charge is absolute rubbish and was not warranted, everything was settled and paid on check out. I rang and rang and rang all day to the hotel and the phone was never answered. Finally I had to call and international call centre where the wind noise in the background was so loud I could hardly hear. I was then told the extra was for bar charges (not ours!) we had one whisky and a coke at the bar which was on my bill at checkout. I was then told they would try to contact hotel and hopefully in up to 2 weeks they would respond to the call centre, and sometime after to me. This from Ritz Carlton? Disgraceful. We then got lucky and got the US call centre. This was much more helpful and the agent advised the hotel would call back the same day. Still no call back from Hotel, no explanation of why my card was charged… no invoice, no receipts. Now I need to go through the process of disputing the transaction with my bank. Really? The old saying one bad apple spoils the cart, couldn’t be more true of the Ritz Carlton South Beach. There were many other disappointing things that happened during the stay that isn’t even worth going into. Such an epic disappointment from this brand. I am hoping this property reaches out as promised but it holding my breath. Do better Ritz Carlton South Beach! Not wanting to end on such a sour note. Daniel (from RC Santa Barbara) was a standout for guest service as was Noela at the Valet, both embody what guest expect from RC.

C'était merveilleux d'avoir l'océan dans votre jardin. La piscine était incroyable surtout la nuit. La chambre était plus petite que ce à quoi nous nous attendions. L'emplacement était incroyable. Commerces et restaurants bordaient les rues.

Sur la plage du centre de Miami, la plage est à deux pas. La forme est un bâtiment des années 50 et 60, et l'intérieur est de style moderne qui vient d'être rénové. Il est très confortable à vivre et il y a moins de restaurants aux alentours.

Expérience terrible, l'application a réservé la pire chambre de l'hôtel, nous avons payé pour une avec balcon et ils nous ont donné une mini chambre avec vue sur une horrible construction qui nous a laissés incapables de dormir, ils nous ont arnaqués, ils voulaient nous voler plus d'argent pour nous changer pour une meilleure chambre que nous avions déjà payée et qu'ils n'avaient pas disponible non plus, service terrible et dégoûtant, ils nous ont facturé deux nuits pour une chambre avec balcon et nous ont donné la salle de bain, ils ont ruiné l'anniversaire de ma fille

The hotel is good for the amount we are paying. We definitely would come again. Convenient to the beach

Boulan South Beach – Honest Review I recently stayed at Boulan South Beach and overall had a great experience, with a few minor drawbacks. Positives: The location is fantastic—just one block from the beach and in a very walkable area surrounded by great restaurants and bars. The hotel itself offers solid amenities, including a small but relaxing rooftop pool with a bar. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at Orange Blossom, the on-site restaurant. The food was excellent, and I’d highly recommend checking it out even if you’re not staying at the hotel. The rooms are well-appointed, apartment-style suites that feel spacious and thoughtfully designed. I also appreciated how quiet the rooms were—perfect for getting a good night’s sleep after a day out. Negatives: That said, I was disappointed by the bed. The listing advertised a pillow-top mattress, but the bed was far from comfortable and fell short of our expectations. Also, for a room that otherwise felt luxurious, the lack of bathrobes was a small detail that would’ve really rounded out a luxurious experience. Additionally, while the room was clean, some of the design choices were lovely but weren’t the most practical for a hotel setting. The cloth-upholstered bed frame, while stylish, showed some staining—fabric furniture can be hard to keep looking fresh in a high-turnover “fun” environment. Similarly, the jute rug added visual texture but proves to be difficult to clean and showed signs of wear. Final Thoughts: Boulan South Beach is a solid choice if you’re looking for a stylish, well-located hotel in South Beach with great amenities and a quieter, more refined atmosphere. Just be aware of a few comfort and design trade-offs. It really is too bad, because Boulan is excellent on so many things and I would 100% go back and definitely recommend this hotel to others… However, the bed quality really brought down the overall appeal. If they can improve that one aspect, this would easily be a top-tier stay in South Beach.

Il n'y a pas de bureau de réception 24 heures, donc si vous êtes en train de descendre, soyez sûr de laisser beaucoup de temps et de prendre contact pour que vous receviez vos instructions de check-in tardive, à la différence de nous. Nous sommes arrivés à 10 h, à une porte fermée, sans aucune idée de ce que le code à entrer était, et comme nous n'avons pas de téléphones américains, ils n'étaient pas en mesure de téléphoner au personnel. Après avoir appelé, le personnel a pu nous parler de la façon de recevoir nos clés, mais la série de mesures a certainement fait qu'il se sentait comme une salle d'évacuation. Room: Petite et compacte chambre. This hotel is laid out like a series of small cabin style cabin cabin. To be fair it had all the essentials, and was clean. The bath was in the room separate from the toilet and shower which was a bit strange. All facilities provided. La chaleur est très élevée, mais il y a aussi un fan qui est plus calme et tolérée à avoir sur le coucher. Le personnel était très agréable et confortable. Les petits-déjeuners étaient limités, composés de fruits (melons et pineaux), mini-pastires, pots de yogurt granola et waffles. De nombreux chats roulant autour du parc. Extra: Il n'y avait qu'un petit parking de voiture disponible, avec environ 6 espaces. Il coûte 30 $ pour parquer ici toute la nuit, mais il y a parking de rue disponible à l'extérieur pour $6/hr entre 8am-10pm. Vous pouvez louer des bikes pour explorer Key West pour 15 $ par jour. Location: Très vivement, la meilleure position, au cœur de tous les magasins, bars et cafés, à pied à toutes les attractions.

On Balance Gilberts was ok but I would not want to stay more than a couple of days. We where probably not its target customers. The rooms where really nice with a great view but my sister was at the end of the block right by the sewage digester for the resort which made a humming noice which was audible in the room at night, it also smelt really bad in the mornings. Admiralty this could only be smelt outside the room. Suggestion screen the digester and put some filtration for the odour. Plus point they treat the sewage. Thursday night was Ok in the bar although the rock band thought they where playing a stadium, just way too loud, when they stopped and some normality returned the bar shut at 2100, Friday and Saturday, better music but the place was rammed with a lot of kids running around. We would have gone out but the resort is isolated and its almost impossible to get a cab, if you do its very expensive and no guarantee you can get one back. If you have a nominated driver than getting out is an option. Saturday the beach, the bar where just full to bursting, first stop on the Keys out of Miami. A lot of very drunk people having a good time which is fine but if you are not one of them its no fun at all. A visible police presence kept any potential trouble from happening. We where going to go to the pool but there was no room left in the water never mind the side. It is supposed to be for residents and they are supposed to ware a wrist band but that is not enforced, very few in anyone had a wrist band on. In short its not a bad place but don't go if you want a relaxed Keys vibe, stay away from the rooms at the end of the block and only go midweek but only do that if you want to be in bed at 2100. Good points, comfortable rooms, nice views, and very nice staff.
