For two nights we didn't have hot water. We rang reception an spoke to the duty manager - the second time...He told us it was because there was a coach load of people staying who had all taken a shower/bath at the same time on their return, and we would have to wait until it heated up again. That didn't allow for the lack of pressure - a trickle! In the end we gave up - no shower/bath. However, the duty manager assured us that the manager would find us the next morning.... this never happened, On the Saturday night the same thing happened. The excuse given by the receptionist for the manager not having found us that morning was there was a wedding and all managers were needed - they didn't start their shift until 11am. The duty manager couldn't speak to us as he was working at the wedding - Saturday night - but Leanne assured us that she had noted our complaint and that she had written up notes, and our inconvenience (now not having hot water for two nights of a three night stay) would be reflected in our invoice on checking out. This wasn't the point. The stay was supposed to be a relaxing, super special treat, not able to have a shower or a bath at night was NOT okay! She assured us that on the third night the 'tour' party and 'wedding party' would have left. So we would have hot water. Which we did.
On checking out the receptionist had no idea about our complaint, and therefore couldn't help us.
We are in the process of writing a compliant, and a review. The staff and hotel did not let you down - the management did!

On another point, the hotel is described as dog friendly. This might be the case. You can bring your dog for a fee of £25 a night, however, on check in we were told we had to eat in the bar area or outside. Luckily the weather was okay. However, we felt like second class citizens! Not only that but the bar area has no tables at which anyone could eat a meal - the tables are all low and only fit for snacks!

IInvitéHad a lovely time, ideal location if you want a SPA, Golf or lazy day or two.
Within, walking distance of Stratford upon Avon 20 mins.
The place is nice, yes some areas need a bit of attention but nothing you wouldn't expect in an old building.
The staff were pleasant and helpful all round.
Definitely go again

IInvitéHad a big problem at check in time. Had 2 separate bookings and both of them caused alot of stress and issues. Had to check in on both occasions and at one point i was charged again but luckily my payment never went through. I was notified half an hour after payment was attempted. Booking with this website caused so much confusion with the hotel rates. Rates on this site are definitely cheaper however it dors cause alot of confusion and un-necessary stress with does not help the situation. Great thanks to Vincent and Beata who were a great help and managed to solve the situation out and they did a handover in the morning and yet we had a problem!!!

IInvitéGreat location, and beautiful grounds ~ parking was hard to find.
The room was clean and tidy, with a nice firm bed, the Weather was very warm, and even though there was a fan in the room the heat was stifling and so hot! The so called “air con” was useless!
The indoor swimming pool was a good size, but it was so incredibly hot in the building, it was hard to breathe!! (Open the doors to let some oxygen in!)
The evening meal was good, as was the breakfast the following morning.
Quite expensive for a mediocre stay.
Lovely staff throughout.

IInvitéExcellent location in the centre of town. The staff were friendly and attentive and the facilities at the hotel were very good.
Rooms were very modern and clean and nice touches such as Nespresso machine and mini bar were great.
Overall a lovely trip.

IInvitéStayed at the hilton while we visited the Christmas market. We had a lovely weekend. Reception was excellent from the smooth booking in to the hot complimentary cookie. The room was spacious and comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Although the hotel is on the outskirts of the town it is no distance to walk in. Will definitely be visiting again .

JJoannebtfThe hotel looked exactly the same as the photos online, and I had a very comfortable 3 night stay. It’s only a 10 minutes walk to Leamington Spa retail park which is not bad at all and only 5 minutes drive to town centre and lots of nice coffee shop and restaurants . Will definitely choose to stay this hotel again when next visit.

IInvitéL'hôtel est idéalement situé, directement au bord de la rivière Avon. Stratford-upon-Avon est une petite ville où toutes les attractions sont accessibles à pied. La gare n'est pas loin non plus, à seulement une quinzaine de minutes de marche. Le petit-déjeuner est également très copieux.
