I stay here once a year as it is not far from the NEC in Birmingham. The location of the hotel is perfect as so close to the motorway but feels like you are in countryside as so quiet and relaxing. It could probably do with a little TLC as the some of the furniture in my room was looking a little tired but still very clean. The staff are lovely and helpful with good service. I have been to this hotel many times over the years and only used the swimming pool once which is the only downside to this place. I would not use again as not the relaxing hotel experience I anticipated as was very busy. Priority appears to be given to the paying public over hotel residents and the changing room was disgusting with used towels piled high on the floor. Staff were stood around having a laugh with their mates and had to interrupt to ask where to get towels then had to ask another member of the public how to open the lockers. I would continue to use this hotel but wouldn’t risk the swimming pool again.

Inconvénients : Les fenêtres de la chambre ne pouvaient pas être ouvertes. L'un des lits semblait manquer d'une couche de draps par rapport à l'autre, ce qui était étrange et légèrement inconfortable. Le mini-réfrigérateur n'était pas assez froid, ce qui rendait difficile la conservation des boissons et des collations au frais. De plus, la climatisation s'arrêtait périodiquement d'elle-même, ce qui était gênant et affectait le confort général. Dans l'ensemble, bien qu'il y ait eu quelques points positifs, plusieurs domaines doivent être améliorés pour améliorer l'expérience des clients.

After unable to leave Birmingham, We decided to stop at the Clayton again and give it another night from the bad system issues they were having. This was a lot better granted and the floors are very secure having floor locked to your key cards to get access. Breakfast we were earlier down and it paid off. Breakfast was better this time. Only little issue was the bathroom could do with a bit more attention to detail with little bits of little black mold in the more harder to reach areas and red residue in the grouting in the tiles. Apart from that sure I’d sure recommend it for the pricing

The hotel is perfect for tourists who want to transfer from Birmingham to another city. All equipment is perfect and advanced and the cost is reasonable. HOWEVER, the female receptionist is very rude and irritable, when I checked in with her, there’s the same name as me booked this hotel and I just double checked the days and whether I booked the breakfast or not she showed her impatience and rudeness.

I recently stayed at your hotel and unfortunately left feeling quite disappointed with several aspects of my stay. Upon arrival, I noticed what appeared to be blood stains on the curtains, hair left on the towel/flannel in the bathroom, and marks on the table surfaces. I have attached photographs for reference, as I feel these are basic housekeeping standards that should have been checked prior to a guest arriving. I also experienced multiple issues with food and service during my stay. I ordered a charcuterie board, however the Parma ham and other cured meats appeared dried out, discoloured and no longer fresh. Unfortunately, after eating it, I also felt unwell afterwards, which was particularly concerning. Later, when ordering dinner, I asked for a croque monsieur but the staff member repeatedly did not understand the order, despite me explaining it was a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. I was eventually advised to order a panini instead. Additionally, I ordered truffle fries but was informed they were unavailable. I agreed to normal fries, however what arrived were heavily seasoned thick-cut chips which were completely different from what I expected and unfortunately not enjoyable. Another issue was the iron provided in the room, which had black residue/staining on it and ended up marking my top, which was very frustrating. As I had booked the stay primarily to relax and enjoy a quiet evening in the room with room service, it was disappointing that the overall experience did not feel comfortable or enjoyable. What disappointed me further was that upon check-out, nobody asked how my stay was or whether everything had been satisfactory, despite the multiple issues experienced throughout my visit. I wanted to bring this to your attention as I do not usually complain, however I felt the overall standard of cleanliness, food quality and service fell below expectations. Kind regards, Karolina

Mercure Birmingham west hotel is easy to locate, easy to check in, I and my husband loves the facilities, the pool, the gym, steam room and sauna, it was my first experience in the steaming room, the jacuzzi spa was amazing, the hotel is neat, I try to change my room but there were lot of guest, I was communicated to about it and it was clear, we love the services including the amazing breakfasts buffet 🥰🥰

I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Coventry and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the rooms were comfortable with good facilities. The staff were professional and helpful throughout the stay, making check in and general requests smooth and efficient. Overall, a reliable and comfortable option for a short stay.

Le service est excellent, mais il est possible que personne ne réponde si vous appelez le service en chambre. L'environnement est également très agréable, les chambres sont spacieuses et bien équipées. L'emplacement est très facile à trouver. Je le recommande, le rapport qualité-prix est excellent. N'oubliez pas de demander des brosses à dents et des chaussons à la réception.

C'était la pire expérience, j'avais prévu un séjour d'une nuit à l'hôtel Radisson Blu avec mon mari et j'ai réservé l'hôtel via l'application Trip et dans cette application, ils n'ont mentionné nulle part un dépôt d'environ 50 livres à notre arrivée à l'hôtel, puis la réceptionniste nous a informés 😒 du dépôt et deuxièmement, la climatisation ainsi que la télévision ne fonctionnaient pas et c'était l'anniversaire de mon mari. J'ai réservé cet hôtel pour rendre son anniversaire plus spécial mais malheureusement, cette nuit-là nous a laissé le pire souvenir. La réceptionniste a donné un ventilateur mais il ne fonctionne pas, la température de la chambre n'était pas tolérable, mon mari s'est senti étouffé, il n'a dormi que 2 heures. L'hôtel était complet, c'est pourquoi nous n'avons pas eu la possibilité de changer de chambre, mais ils sont prêts à nous rembourser, mais le remboursement n'est pas la solution car cela perturbe notre plan, notre budget ☹️.
