Lovely friendly place next to the river. Plenty of parking facilities just over the bridge which is approx five minute walk.  The room itself is spacious enough although for some may be a little dated. Bed is comfortable with a lovely duvet and pillows. Only downside was the curtains which are not blackout so do let in too much light for me but heyho I still had a reasonable night sleep  To get to the room we stayed in, we had to walk up a spiral staircase which for some people, this could be a struggle as the steps have been assembled quite tightly due to space so make the steps on the small side, there is obviously a handrail so coming down side ways helps.  Breakfast was continental consisting of fruit, cereal, yoghurt ( which was exceptionally tasty) toast etc. An English breakfast was offered at an additional cost but we preferred this option.  All in all a lovely place to stay with friendly welcoming hosts who were on hand to offer advise and assistance should you need it.

Booked a last minute break and have to say what a little gem this hotel is. We were welcomed by the owners Steve & Wendy who the most friendly and down to earth people you would ever wish to meet. Their attention to detail is second to none. Complimentary home baked Bakewell tart, fresh milk if needed and an even honesty bar whereby you are trusted to serve your own drinks and settle upon departure. Never came across this before at any hotel stay, just shows what genuine good people the owners are. The hotel is immaculate, tastefully decorated and only a few moments stroll to the sea front. We had the best nights sleep, mattress was extremely comfortable and bed linen was of high quality. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast made to order with additional fresh continental offerings available. This hotel failed to disappoint we can’t wait to visit again.

A must stay for couples! The view was incredible (you can see in the photos below)! We also had a fantastic meal at The Rockfish restaurant, and the hotel’s location couldn’t be more convenient for all the shops/bars/restaurants in the harbour. The parking provided by the hotel was at the harbour itself, and was very convenient. We used self check-in, it was so quick and easy we could just get on with our short trip and waste no time! At breakfast we had the pleasure of meeting the owners, aside from the delicious (made to order) breakfast, the service was incredible. Highly recommend!

Don’t miss out on this Devonshire Gem From the moment I arrived, the delightful hosts made me feel very welcome and at home The bar/lounge area is the perfect informal place to flop down and relax with a well stocked honesty bar, TV and board games galore Not only was my room comfortable and spotless, but Shona dishes up a lovely breakfast tailored to your own tastes and requirements, she really does make breakfast just for you! Cosy, clean, and with a warm welcome for all, treat yourself to an exceptionally great stay at a reasonable price.

If you are not sure where to stay - don’t waste any time looking elsewhere, I can 100% recommend staying at Arran Lodge. We were so impressed with how well we were looked after, a clean and kept room with everything you might possibly need, including a welcome treat - homemade cake, space to park the car outside the house, a welcome reception and the most wonderful breakfast choice! Have stayed here a few times and always enjoyed it. The rooms are a bit dated, but are all lovely and clean, Thats all that matters. The staff are friendly and the facilities are very good. Indoor and outdoor pool which are clean and warm. The breakfast is lovely too, With a choice of full English, Continental or vegetarian. So everyone is covered 😊 10 minutes walk to the seafront, pubs, Amusements. Will definitely be staying yet again 😊

La location est excellente, à seulement 5 minutes à pied de la gare Exeter St David. J'ai séjourné pendant une nuit seulement en raison de voyages d'affaires. La variété du petit déjeuner et l'expérience de service était grande, une bonne variété de refroidissements. Le bâtiment lui-même montre son âge, et mon étage était très éclatante, j'espère qu'il n'y avait pas de loyers sous moi! J'ai choisi avec l'option de la salle de bain partagée et la salle de bain était brillantement propre. Grand lieu dans l'ensemble!

Wonderful stay Sam the barman was a superstar rescuing us from the cliff walk before dark. Thanku Sam for Yr kindness and help and carrying our bag! Overall stay was amazing. Clean and fresh room. Breakfast was outstanding with loads of choice. Service was fabulous. The cleaner was so helpful when we needed info Thanks everyone. And Sam we are so grateful. We thought we may have to camp on South West path over night!!!

Nous avons réservé une chambre avec vue sur la mer. C'est clairement indiqué dans la réservation et sur Trip. Il semble que cela ne signifie rien selon le gestionnaire et le fait que vous pouvez réserver ne signifie pas que vous le recevrez. Je doute qu'il y ait vues sur la mer de toute chambre, puisque le pub est sur une route latérale. Le personnel qui nous a accueillis n'aurait pas pu être plus agréable.
