In general, it is not bad for me to stay in a single room with a common bathroom for 10 nights. Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff's efforts to manage the City Hostel clean which is too old and out fashioned building. * Location & Transportation Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum. And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price. In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones. Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it. * Building and room conditions Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room. It is quite convenient a washstand in each room. However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler. It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel. * Cleanness & Safety Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this. * Services There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water. Wifi is too weak to use the internet. Other services like laundry are satisfied. * Others During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally. In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better. And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable. Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.

J'étais ravie de leur réactivité malgré l'heure tardive. J'avais hâte de découvrir la beauté incroyable de l'Égypte, mais le jeu auquel je joue actuellement… Je l'ai acheté il y a une semaine ! Je n'y ai pas touché depuis.

Хороший отель в центре, близко к египетскому музею, есть балкон в комнате, ребята работающие в отеле очень дружелюбные, помогут со всем разобраться, подскажут где лучше поесть, что посетить, как добраться, говорят по английски, завтраки вкусные! В номере было чисто, но есть не большие минусы, такие как кран в раковине течёт, штора на окне висит наполовину В целом хороший вариант для проживания

L'endroit était propre, la chambre un peu plus petite que je ne l'imaginais, le personnel poli et serviable, un excellent séjour pour le prix, à recommander aux petits budgets. Le manque de commerces de proximité dans ce nouveau développement très chic oblige à penser à tout acheter ailleurs.

J'ai rencontré des gens sympas et le personnel de la réception était vraiment accueillant. Les douches sont petites et partagées avec les toilettes, mais tout fonctionne correctement. Il y avait même quelques chats adorables de temps en temps :) J'étais un peu désorientée pour trouver l'entrée en arrivant tard dans la nuit. Mon seul point à améliorer serait de réparer la moustiquaire de la fenêtre. Quelques moustiques particulièrement agressifs sont sortis pendant la nuit pour me dévorer. On peut cuisiner et mettre des aliments au réfrigérateur.

When we arrived, it was a little difficult to find the building, because there was no sign of Lucky Hostel in the lobby. However a very persistent man outside, insisted that the building with sign “El otel”, is the correct building. We trust him and we entered. Another problem, it looked like to use the elevator to 4th floor, we must have access card. We wait for about 5 minutes and fortunately there was a man came down, and we asked his help to tap on the elevator using his card. Other than that, my husband & I were happy to stay in this hostel. Our room was so big and with sofa too!! Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. Hot shower was very pleasant in cold morning. And we were very happy that the staff allow us to put our luggage while we were away to Luxor. We stay for total of 4 nights and we were allowed again to put our luggage while we went shopping, because our flight was in the middle of the night.

La literie est excellente et les draps sont changés régulièrement. Un service de blanchisserie est disponible pour 150 roubles. Le petit-déjeuner est également proposé à 150 roubles. Cuisine commune avec thé et café à volonté. Douches communes. Espaces communs exceptionnels pour se détendre. Un atout majeur : vous pouvez arriver tôt et partir tard, en toute liberté, et profiter des équipements. Wi-Fi disponible. Le personnel est très serviable. Note globale : 10/10.

L'emplacement est situé au centre-ville près du Musée égyptien. Plusieurs équipements dans les 10 minutes à pied. Le célèbre Koshary Abu Tarek est à 6 minutes à pied. Les chambres sont bien entretenues. Il y a un personnel à la réception 24/7. Les hôtes de toutes les âges et de toutes les nationalités peuvent être hébergés. Proposition d'amélioration: 1. Les serviettes doivent être délivrées à l'arrivée et non à la demande. 2. Le lift doit être mis à niveau comme je l'ai jamais été entré à l'intérieur quand il y a un voyage d'énergie. Et souvent le lift n'a pas fonctionné parce que la porte de l'ascenseur n'était pas fermée correctement. Entrez que le lift n'est pas géré par votre auberge. Veuillez le demander au propriétaire du bâtiment car il n'est pas acceptable. 3. Considérez le système centralisé de climatisation.

The hotel is quite close to the Egyptian museum, The facility is okay - The place is quite old but clean. The hotel staff here are very nice especially Mr Anas he was quite energetic and really looking forward to service + friendly I didn't expect that he was invites me to the lunch together with them ** note** for someone who cannot sleep with the noise - the hotel is quite close to the Egyptian Street which is always honking the horn. Solution ** ust bring an earplug ( The one that you would receive on in airplane ) and everything's gonna be fine In conclusion this hotel is reasonably priced for this quality. if you don't expect for something luxury but friendly , This hotel could be your choice

L'établissement est mal signalé. Il est impossible de trouver la propriété de jour car le nom de l'hôtel ne s'allume que la nuit. Le nom de l'hôtel est dans un endroit discret. Personnel serviable. La chambre et la salle de bain étaient propres. J'avais des réserves sur la propreté de la literie. Elle avait l'air propre mais la sensation était différente. Les petits déjeuners sont nutritifs et copieux, mais peuvent être monotones lors de séjours plus longs (plus de deux jours).
