I arrived in Taupo on the morning Air NZ flight from AKL, upon arrival at the Chevron Motel, 4 hours before the published check-in time, I had planned to ask to have my luggage stored while I go about other business. The receptionist kindly asked me to wait while she checked to see if my room was ready, and if so, I could have my room right away. Lucky for me it was, I was very pleased with the initiative and flexibility offered. My booking included a living area with dining table, kitchen, sofa, spare single bed, a separate bedroom, and a dedicated parking space. My stay of 5 nights was very comfortable, and I will definitely use this motel again on my next visit. I would like to offer a few suggestions for improvements, first - a split type AC unit was present in the living room, it would be great if there could be a second unit installed in the bedroom. Internet connectivity, available 24/7, while adequate, did have limited bandwidth affecting video streaming from Netflix/YouTube etc. Lastly, it would be great if the TV provided in the living room had a larger screen. In summary, I was very pleased with my stay at the Chevron Motel, the room offered great value for money, and I was completely relaxed and comfortable during my stay.

I had a great stay at this hostel, and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The common areas were clean, comfortable, and had a great atmosphere for meeting other travelers. I ended up making some new friends here, and we realized we were planning to visit many of the same places, so we explored together. That really made my trip even more memorable. The hostel itself was very clean and well-maintained, and I was impressed with the overall experience. The only issue I encountered was with late check-in. My bus arrived much later than expected, so I wasn't able to arrange an after-hours check-in in advance. I understand that the instructions were provided by email, but I did have a moment of panic because I was asked to call the hostel's phone number. Since I was traveling with only an eSIM and didn't have a New Zealand phone number, I wasn't able to make the call. It would be great if there were an alternative way to contact the hostel for late check-ins, such as WhatsApp, email, or an online messaging system. Overall, this hostel went beyond my expectations, and I'd definitely recommend it to other travelers.

Nous avons séjourné en famille de 4 chambres émulsionnablement propres, les lits étaient beaux et très généreux de taille, le lait local dans de belles bouteilles de verre reliant la communauté rurale locale était un grand touche. qui signifie que nous avons tous dormi très bien. Glenys nous a donné beaucoup de conseils sur où prendre les enfants, les piscines chaudes locales ont été frappées et le domaine à côté de la porte avec jardins de jeux et courts de basket pour le plaisir familial gratuit, le géyser explosif a été un grand divertissement, La location est très confortable pour tous les pistes de marche MT Te Aroha, supermarché et boutiques facilement à pied du motel. Le service était second à nul. Rod et Glenys étaient des hôtes incroyables qui ont été au-dessus et au-delà pour s'assurer que nous avons tous eu le meilleur séjour. Nous avons eu des problèmes de voiture, et ils ont ouvert leur garage et leur temps pour nous aider à revenir sur la route pour toujours gratitude. Nous reviendrons bientôt et nous avons parlé à tous nos amis et à la famille de notre nouveau motel préféré.

We had a very good discounted price for the night, the room was very comfortable and clean with a good bathroom. Unfortunately the units are not very well sound proofed and in our instance the occupants of the room next door were very inconsiderate and stayed up very late, even after asking them in person to go to sleep at 1am it took another while before it got quiet. With the bar and restaurant next door a very convenient spot

Emplacement idéal, en plein centre-ville, avec toutes les commodités à proximité. La chambre était spacieuse et restait bien chauffée en hiver. Serviettes, produits de toilette complets, thé et lait étaient fournis.

The motel is clean and luckily close to some food places as they did not have in house restaurant. The room is a bit small, luckily I was staying alone. I accidentally left my water bottle and they wrote to let me know. That's nice of them.

La chambre n'est pas très propre, surtout la salle de bains est très bonne et l'eau chaude est suffisante. Vous pouvez séjourner à Turangi pour traverser la ligne TAC un jour à Tongarillo, ici à proximité du point de fin du parking. Les propriétaires de maisons chaleureuses et attentives nous ont aidé à contacter les véhicules pour nous envoyer à la pointe de la promenade. Nous avons un jour parfait pour passer. Merci beaucoup. Nous avons l'occasion de rester ici. Les propriétaires de maisons sont faciles à communiquer et espèrent que les compatriotes vont plus loin.

Quand j'arrive au Motel j'ai découvert que quand j'étais en train de réserver j'aurais dû noter qu'il n'y a pas de réception sur le site.Lorsque j'ai rangé le site portée, la appel n'était pas un ami.J'ai pris un uber pour recueillir les clés.Et dès que j'ai Il semblait qu'aucune maison n'avait été maintenue avant mon déplacement.Les bâtons étaient tous pleins de rubis.Le lit n'avait pas été changé .Deux boissons vides de McDonald par la zone de baignade.Deux coupes et une cuillère dans le bassin voir photos.Je suis ensuite déplacé à la chambre 7 qui semblait être propre mais cette inconvénient m'a fait en colère 😡

I did like this place very much. The hotel is made up of small chalets. The room studio was amazing, clean and very comfortable. The lady at the front desk was charming and super helpful giving information about what to do for the rest of my day. I got there early and she got me in my room right away. I was able to go and do the Driving Creek Railway ride. It was an amazing experience. Coromandel is a very small village so not much to see other than a few stores. But the landscape is beautiful and there is a 50 minutes hike up the hill and a magnificent view of the Coromandel Bay right next to the hotel. A must see!
