The hotel is quite far from the city but it comes with super great view. The room is so spacious despite being a bit old. The dinner and breakfast is also great. Highly recommend for those who would like to have leisure time.

Pour les visites en voiture, l'hôtel jusqu'à la station de ski est le plus pratique. Vous pouvez vous rendre à Hakuba, Shiga ou Karuizawa. Le trajet dure une heure. S'il y a un problème avec la météo dans une zone, changez-la pour une autre zone. Cela n'affecte en rien l'ambiance du ski. Le dîner au centre-ville est pratique, vous pouvez manger un barbecue, une fondue et sortir après avoir mangé.

J'ai séjourné plusieurs fois dans les hôtels du groupe Karuizawa Prince, dont Karuizawa Prince et cette fois Prince West. Comme l'hôtel est situé à une certaine distance de la gare, l'hôtel pouvait auparavant nous aider à transporter les bagages jusqu'au centre de service client situé près de la gare, ce qui nous a apporté beaucoup de commodité. Maintenant, le service n'est plus disponible et nous devons transporter nous-mêmes les bagages à la gare en navette et nous ne pouvons même pas stocker temporairement les bagages dans le centre de service pendant que nous pouvons visiter le point de vente ou déjeuner sans avoir à nous soucier des bagages. avant de prendre le train. Le retrait de ce service est décevant (comprenez qu'il n'est désormais accessible qu'à certains membres du club) et pas un bon accueil.

Awesome hotel under the hotel group chain. Location is excellent however not that near to local dinning places (average about 15mins drive). Hospitality and services were beyond expectation. Booked room was as described and as shown in hotel's website. In reality, the room was very spacious and comfortable. My family and I had a little car trouble on day of check out, and the hotel staff were kind, patient and extremely helpful in resolving the issue. Kudos to the staff going beyond their job scopes I believe.

We stayed on 24 to 26 Dec 25. Good hotel but far from everything else. Need to be flexible since weather was unpredictable. We had no snow -just rain for two days, but when we checked out, we had heavy snow which disrupted our travel to Toyama with many trains cancellation and delays (a car stuck on the railroad track). The hotel shuttle bus picks up at Minami-Otari station. There are four coin-operated washing machines and four dryers which were always taken on 3rd Floor. I would advise staying longer than two days and prepare for travel time as it took nearly 20 minutes for a bus ride to Iwatake each way.

It was a very big hotel with nice onsen (although it smells a little of chlorine) the place was swarmed with tour groups so buffet quality was not great but edible with quite a lot of variety. Parking was spacious. I gave 3 stars for service because we encountered a rude souvenir shop staff who yelled at us in Chinese and continued doing so even after we told her that we are not Chinese!

Staying at Shoho in Matsumoto was an unforgettable experience that truly deserves five stars. The kaiseki dinner was a masterpiece—a multi-course feast that highlighted seasonal and local ingredients. The breakfast buffet was equally impressive, offering a wide array of both Japanese and Western options to suit all palates. The staff at Shoho went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. Their genuine hospitality was evident in every interaction, from assisting with our luggage to offering insightful recommendations on local attractions. Despite any language barriers, their kindness and professionalism shone through. The hotel's location is ideal for exploring the rich cultural heritage of Matsumoto. We were just a short drive from the iconic Matsumoto Castle, one of Japan's most beautiful original castles. Strolling through the historic Nakamachi Street with its classic white-walled storehouses turned boutique shops and cafes was a delightful way to spend an afternoon. In addition to its proximity to cultural sites, Shoho serves as a great base for nature enthusiasts. The nearby Kamikochi Valley offers stunning hiking trails that showcase the unspoiled beauty of the Japanese Alps. Returning to the comfort of the hotel after a day of exploration was something we looked forward to, especially knowing a soothing onsen soak awaited us. In summary, Shoho encapsulates the essence of Japanese hospitality. Every aspect of our stay was thoughtfully curated to provide comfort, relaxation, and cultural enrichment. We left feeling deeply refreshed and with a greater appreciation for the wonders of Matsumoto. Shoho is more than just a place to stay—it's an experience that lingers long after you've departed. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic and luxurious retreat in Japan.

La chambre était grande et nous pouvions voir le lac de Suwa. Les lits étaient préparés par les personnels et le petit déjeuner était également bon. Nous pouvions également profiter des ustensiles en bas. Ils nous laissent également vérifier une heure plus tard. Expérimentation parfaite

家族旅行で2泊しました。7万坪という広大な敷地にホテル3つのとチャペル、披露宴会場を合わせ持った贅沢なつくりでリラックスしたひとときを堪能しました。朝食のブッフェも夕食フレンチも美味しく、サービスも良かったです。温泉の大浴場もあり緑も多く散歩も心地よいひとときでした。1泊ではなく、2泊、3泊するのもオススメです。
