I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have had in Japan. I booked a Run of House (ROH) room for my family. The booking description stated that room sizes range from 28 to 38 square meters. Based on that description, I reasonably expected that room assignments would be allocated fairly within that range. Upon check-in, I initially asked whether it would be possible to have a room facing Huis Ten Bosch. I fully understood when I was told that a park-facing room would require an additional charge, as such rooms are often sold at a premium. However, after entering the room, I realized that I had been assigned what appeared to be the smallest and least desirable room available. At that point, I was no longer asking for a park view. I simply asked whether it would be possible to have a slightly larger room, especially since the ROH description clearly stated that room sizes range from 28 to 38 square meters. What made the experience particularly frustrating was that I had already read reviews from other guests who booked the same ROH category and received significantly better rooms. One guest mentioned being assigned a park-view room after making a request, while another guest appeared to have received one of the hotel’s best room categories despite booking ROH. When I politely asked why other guests with the same booking category seemed to receive much better room assignments while I was given the smallest room available, the front desk was unable to provide a clear explanation. Instead, I was repeatedly told that any room change would require an upgrade fee. At one point, I was even told to contact the booking platform and ask the platform to pay for the room change. This response made very little sense. I was not asking for a free upgrade. I was simply asking for transparency and consistency regarding how ROH rooms are allocated. After a lengthy discussion, the hotel eventually moved us to a slightly larger room. However, the replacement room was located on the lowest floor, at the far end of the corridor, with a partially obstructed theme park view. While I appreciated the effort, it reinforced the impression that alternative rooms were available, yet no clear explanation was ever provided regarding the original room assignment. My disappointment is not that I did not receive the best room. I fully understand that ROH bookings do not guarantee upgrades. My concern is that the hotel advertises a room size range of 28–38 square meters, creating the expectation that room assignments may reasonably vary within that range. If ROH guests are always assigned the smallest and least desirable room available, even when larger rooms remain vacant, then the hotel should simply advertise the room as 28 square meters. That would allow guests to make an informed decision before booking. For families travelling with children, room size matters. Had the listing clearly indicated that ROH guests would receive a 28-square-meter room, I would likely have selected a different room category from the beginning. The hotel itself is in a convenient location and the facilities are generally good. However, the handling of this situation left a very negative impression. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend booking a specific room category rather than ROH, so that expectations are clear from the outset.

環境：非常漂亮的家庭温泉旅店，和我在柯南里看到的日式傳統温泉酒店很相似！和朋友訂了兩間房間，安排了很靠近的房間，很好！我們入住的時候人並不多，整個酒店有兩層，第二層是客房，觀察了一下房間的燈。那晚大概衹有我們和另一個房間的客人入住。打開窗户是很漂亮的山裹着雲霧，非常享受。 設施：很齊全，還有小茶壺和茶果子～一開始訂的時候有些擔心公共浴室會不方便，但是完全沒有。我洗的時候衹遇到了一個客人，大家都很默契，不打擾、很有分寸。第二天早上剛開的時候去泡，一個人獨享，趁沒人給浴室拍了照片～温泉很舒服，洗澡水也很沖，滿意！ 衞生：乾淨，我沒有穿酒店提供的浴衣，衹用了毛巾，很乾凈。在一樓走的時候探索到了酒店的洗衣間，很多個洗衣機，很乾凈的味道。 服務：特別好！應該是三位日本阿姨經營的小旅館，會提前貼好名牌卡放鞋子。房間是提前收拾好並且鋪好床的，阿姨會親自帶我們上樓看房間。退房的時候碰到辦理入住的阿姨還和我們點頭致意道謝。感覺人和人之間在島原這座小城變得十分純粹。最後包包忘記拿了，阿姨還追出來給我們送包，貴重物品都在包裏了，感謝阿姨。 説説交通和周邊。我們是從熊本坐船過去的，酒店離下船的港口不遠，步行大概10分鐘左右。酒店途中有個大坡，不過要不是因為這個坡，酒店不高的話可能也看不到美麗的山景。離公交站也不遠，步行都是ok的，坐車去島原城，大三東以及我們下一站的雲仙都很方便。附近有711和全家兩個便利店，真的太方便了。我們晚上懶得出門，就買好了便當用酒店微波爐熱着吃。對比找不到連鎖便利店的雲仙，真是方便太多了。推薦大家加一頓早飯，很健康很營養很日式的早飯，入住時會詢問吃飯時間，提前會準備好並且會講解。我們不會日語，但是整體入住很順利，非常推薦。店內有一個小小的賣紀念品處以及幾個自動販賣機（衹能用現金，不能刷suica等卡），也算方便～ 整體推薦，下次有機會打算連續入住，體會真正的放鬆～每一層都有吸煙處，方便。鮮花看得人心情好～ 佈置用心，我們在雲仙住了高級一些的温泉酒店，但我心裏還是更喜歡這家有温度的旅館！希望在不久的將來，可以再次相遇。

J'ai réservé une chambre ce jour-là, mais je me suis senti très satisfait. Mais, en raison du mauvais temps en hiver, le vent a éclaté. Je veux aller l'été la prochaine fois.

Le service de l'hôtel est très bon. Le restaurant et le personnel ont tous communiqué avec nous en anglais et ont présenté chaque plat et les installations de la chambre d'hôtel. Il était évident qu'ils ont travaillé dur pour nous faire vivre une expérience hôtelière thermale très satisfaisante et agréable.

J'ai récemment eu le plaisir de séjourner dans cet hôtel onsen et ce fut une expérience inoubliable ! L'atmosphère sereine et relaxante de cet onsen privé était exactement ce dont j'avais besoin pour me détendre. Les sources chaudes étaient d'une propreté impeccable et offraient une vue imprenable sur la nature environnante. Le personnel était incroyablement accueillant et attentionné, veillant à ce que chaque détail de notre séjour soit parfait. La cuisine japonaise traditionnelle servie à l'hôtel était exquise, chaque plat étant soigneusement préparé et joliment présenté. Notre chambre était spacieuse, confortable et offrait un charmant mélange d'équipements modernes et de décoration traditionnelle. L'attention portée aux détails à chaque détail de l'hôtel a rendu notre séjour vraiment spécial. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel à tous ceux qui recherchent une escapade paisible et ressourçante. C'est un véritable joyau caché que j'ai hâte de visiter à nouveau !

I recently stayed at Dormy Inn PREMIUM Nagasaki Ekimae, and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient, being just a short walk from the station, which made exploring Nagasaki very easy. The room was clean, functional, and well-designed. However, the absolute highlight for me was the natural hot spring on the top floor—it was the perfect way to relax after a long day of sightseeing. I also truly enjoyed the complimentary ”Yonaki Soba” (night ramen) provided by the hotel; it’s such a thoughtful and delicious touch that really sets Dormy Inn apart. The staff were professional and welcoming throughout my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nagasaki and would definitely choose to stay here again.

Le service était excellent, mais je me sens comme l'hôtel est cible pour les voyageurs plus âgés. Le petit déjeuner était joli et délicieux. Onsen se sent un peu non rénové. Le jardin et le toit sont aussi jolis. En général, vous recommanderiez, surtout si vous voulez être renvoyé à la 80e (mais comme de bonne façon).

Great stay at Stadium City Hotel Nagasaki! The stadium is beautiful and the hotel has a great atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the nice view from the balcony and the delicious breakfast. The room was comfortable and it was a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended!

If you wish to visit Huis Ten Bosch and stay there overnight, I would highly recommend this hotel. It is walking distance from the Huis Ten Bosch train station and to the theme park. You can arrive in the morning, store your luggage, enter the theme park and spend the whole day there before checking in at night. The room is spacious and clean for me. However, I would say that there are no walking distance convenience stores if you are feeling hungry at night and wish to have some food or snacks. I only stayed there for one night and for the price I paid, I am satisfied with my stay there.
