Great welcome by Lauren. Very attentive and polite. Great service by all staff 👏 nice cosy atmosphere with good deals on food . Would definitely recommend and return in the future. Just a quick visit after a long drive . Food was tasty and cooked to perfection 👌

I've been to the Wellington for lunch for business on numerous occasions now and I've always been warmly welcomed and received good food. The staff are very friendly and my most recent waiter Anthony was very attentive and welcoming.

Lunch at the Wellington Hotel Meal was fantastic, was cooked as requested (we are a bit fussy) but waitress had taken a note of our requests. Waitress explained the specials which helped us as I wasn't sure what I wanted at the time. She Came back to check everything was okay and it was all spot on. Big shout out to our server Becky, her service was fantastic very professional. Will be returning in the near future

Went for tea on 22/02/24 around 6pm , although nice food in the end the first mains came out cold. We told the lady who brought our meals out who quite abruptly told us that it came straight out of the kitchen and was not sitting at all, the other lady who originally took our order was really nice and apologetic , the second mains came and were nice however the lady who was rude to us kept walking past and glared at us throughout our meal and we noticed that she passed the food to the other lady to hand out in the middle of the resteraunt. That is the first time I have ever put food back in a resteraunt and I generally felt bad doing so but the food was cold , I get it is a mistake and am not blaming the kitchen staff as these things happen but for the server to take it so personally and then act in the way she did really made us feel unwelcome. I must add that the rest of the staff were great and very nice and the food when it came the second time was really nice but the lady spoiled our experience and for that reason we wouldn’t rush back

Popped in for a last minute dinner with our kids (ages 3 & 6) when staying at a hotel nearby. We had the chicken skewers (amazing!) & rainbow salad (so big I couldn't finish it) & kids had pasta & pizza. Great food for all & the service was excellent. Very attentive staff too.

Had two amazing experiences at the Wellington this month. Did Christmas breakfast with Santa which was super, then had our Christmas meal with all the family. Honestly, couldn’t have gone better. Service was amazing, the food was outstanding and everyone had a great time. Will be booking for next year. Thank you to all staff on this weekend. Everyone was amazing but Michelle was absolutely a wee star.

Lovely meal as always and the server Anthony was very friendly, helpful, polite and efficient. We went as 2 couples and we had macaroni, katsu chicken, chicken goujons and ribs and all were perfect. Will be back

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, the restaurant was tidy and busy, but the accommodation was a different story. I booked a double room. Upon arrival to room i noticed ripped wall paper, only 1 cup and 1 chain and only 1 bedside cabinet and 1 table lamp. With a double bed, the electric cable for second bedside light had been cut from the socket. In the bathroom there were no plug in either the shower or wash basin, so if anything fell it would go straight down the drain. In the evening there was no hot water. This was room 11, when i realised there was no hot water in morning i went to reception, i was told the room was only set up for 1 person as i was staying myself, so 1 mug, 1 chair and all otherbits had been removed was the impression i got off. I was then moved to room 1 which the shower head does not lock onto the height adjustable rod but it accepted it. I went back to room 11 when i got back to the hotel at night to collect my bag and move to room 1 and i had been told in morning that room 11 was getting put out of service until, room was fixed but when i went back in fresh towels were sitting for another person so room clearly was not put out of service, otherwise fresh towels would not be sitting on bed.
