2 night stay over Easter 2023. Apar**ent 111 Very difficult check in process as all the 10 minute parking spaces out the front had cars sitting in them for a very long time. We had to park 2 blocks away to start with. The first impression of our one bedroom apar**ent was to turn around & run. Dark, gloomy, old, small & stinky. The kind of place we did not want to walk around without our shoes on. The photos that we saw online certainly did not match the room we were allocated. There was a dirty sock on the lift floor for 24 hours before it was cleaned. The smell continued for our two night stay. There was a sewerage stink in the bathroom. The kitchenette (what a joke) is inches away from the toilet. Both nights our room was invaded by the stench of cooking smells - garlic/onion/curry. Leaving our eyes watering and our clothing smelly. There was no window to open only a patio door, which we could not leave open at night as was not secure to do so. There was a general grimy unclean feeling about the whole place. The decor has not changed since the 80's. Cheap bargain basement furniture. The bathroom was very old, grubby and tiny. The kitchenette was the same. 'home brand' tea & coffee. The bedroom - thin small uncomfortable mattress. NO cupboards or wardrobe. We had to leave our clothes & cases on the floor next to the bed. Car Park - when we booked we were told we would have to park in the Wilson car park around the corner. We were allocated a park under the building on arrival. Again tiny little parking spaces designed for little city cars not our SUV. Lucky to have escaped with the bumper bar intact. The only one good thing was the location. Easy walking distances to restaurants, galleries & shopping. Overall a huge disappoin**ent. We were up and gone by 6am on the day of checkout. Could not stay a minute longer. A horrible place. Totally overpriced.
