Hotel Station Amstelveen

I wanted something close to Schiphol, but away from the chaos. Amstelveen is ten minutes by taxi and a lovely, warm, cozy community. The Hotel Station Amstelveen is an absolutely splendid boutique hotel. The proprietors are warm and super friendly, and their rooms are as welcoming and lovely. Fantastic price for what you get. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Had a wonderful overnight stay at this unique hotel which has lots of character. We were welcomed by Hugo who answered all our questions and supplied us with a great breakfast. The room was comfortable, roomy with peaked ceiling and we had everything we needed. Beautiful location within walking distance of a number of restaurants. We visited the local pizzeria for a great meal. Once again, thank you Hugo for a great stay.

A wonderful comfortable stay in a very special and beautiful hotel- so very tastefully restored - classy- special. Thanks to Johan, Kat and Hugo- great hospitality- with the promise next time of some very special Italian cooking from Hugo. So useful also to hire bikes at the hotel- and cycle easily into central Amsterdam. We hope to come back!

We felt so lucky to have found this sweet historical B&B. The rooms were cozy, beautifully decorated and uber clean. Our host Johan met us when we arrived and spent time showing us on a map what we would find in the area (such a walkable nature reserve and excellent restaurants) and as well as how to get into Amsterdam. After a 7-day Rhine River Cruise we were wanting to explore Amsterdam but not stay right in the city. Station Amstelveen was ideal because it was an easy train or Uber/taxi ride into the city. The B&B is right on the edge of the Amsterdam forest (which is three times the size of Central Park) and you can even bike from the B&B all the way to Amsterdam. Johan and his wife Katarina have put so much love and effort into making every aspect of their B&B perfect for their guests. You can see that in the charm of the rooms which include comfy high-quality bedding and living greenery, and in the delicious breakfast they provide. The just-out-of-the-oven croissants were incredible. Thank you Johan and Katarina for such a memorable stay on our trip.

My husband and I have been to Amsterdam before, so we were looking for something different and quaint this time, and Station Amstelveen ticked all the boxes! The B&B is located only a ten minute drive from the airport in a small, picturesque town, which had plenty of options for quality food. It also is located right near a beautiful forest, with extensive peaceful walking paths. Located in a converted train station, the hotel has been revamped, with cozy decor, and comfortable beds. Also, very, very clean. We stayed in the Conductor room, which had a small living room area, and a bedroom attached. After two previous weeks of traveling, it felt like our little home away from home. The owner was also unbelievably helpful and nice throughout our stay! Going above and behind to help us out and to answer any questions. If we pass through Amsterdam again, we will definitely circle back to Station Amstelveen!
