The hotel is situated at the top part of the town, up near the castle walls, which has the advantage of being away from the crowdy and noisy main road, highstreet and shops, whilst these can be reached with a walk of 5-10 min. The road to get there is a bit tricky to find (up a narrow cobblestone road). There is private parking, however during busy times, can be a bit tricky to park, as it is a rather cramped space (keeping in mind however that having private parking on the small cobblestone streets of the upper part of the town is however a ... luxury!). Staff (my understanding is that it is run by owners - brothers) is very friendly and helpful. The room we booked (located on the top floor), really exceeded our expectations, both in terms of layout, amenities and view! We definitely felt we were in a hotel of a much higher "category" (a fine example showcasing how "categories" are really subjective). Breakfast was excellent, served on a really nice open air patio on the ground floor. Speaking of floors, it is definitely worth to get a room on the top floor (actually the hotel is layered on levels, not "floors" per se, as it is build on a steep slope), which has an unrestricted view over the town and the sea. Having said that, since there is no elevator (due to building restrictions from the county council, we were told), there are a lot of steps to climb, so keep that in mind! Overall, a highly recommended hotel, and definitely one of the best value for money!
