Hotel Grand Nefeli

We loved our stay here, right on the beach. The staff were friendly and informative, the daily breakfast was very nice, and our room was comfortable. It is also situated at the best end of the beach. We would stay here again as it offered excellent value.

The room was quite large in addition to other hotels . But the unacceptable subject was that in the bathroom there was no hot water,only cold . So that is an important factor to choose your hotel. Although the room was not quite clean as it suppose to be

The location is fine. However the hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel. Not clean. We stayed 4 nights and they never changed the bed sheet and towels. The cleaners only made the beds. They did not even mop the room. No toiletries which is a shame for a supposed 4 star hotel. Last but not least, I had an electric shock when I touched by mistake into the rusted electric stove. Not worth for the money I paid. Dared to have lunch once and they brought us completely different order from the one we placed and also of very bad quality. I would be ashamed for this kind of service.

We stayed in Grand Nefeli in early October. The room was nice and bright, and very clean with beautiful views of the beach and mountains. We enjoyed very much the large balcony where overlooking the swimming pool and beach but was private enough not to be bothered/bother next door neighbours. The downstairs bar/restaurant by the swimming pool was very cosy and comfortable but most importantly, all the staff was very welcoming and helpful with any queries we had about the hotel (parking, rooms etc.) but also the local area. There was even service provided at their private beach so we could order refreshments straight after coming out of the sea. The location was perfect as it's at the end of Vasiliki (15 minutes walk to the marina) but literally right on the beach. There were still restaurants and cafes available within 5 minutes walk. We will definitely be back and recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a hotel in Lefkada.

So positives on this hotel -we stayed in a double en-suite apartment ( 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) and the rooms were clean - the balcony views onto the beach were lovely - the bathrooms modern and nice - beds very comfortable. I'm afraid thereafter that was it. This hotel is not a 4* hotel, 3* would be more accurate. Staff did not have a great attitude apart from the amazing young lad working the beach. Breakfast was a soulless experience as you leaned over a plastic barrier to get your selection. You then had to look for somewhere to eat, often at coffee tables with furniture covered in sweaty plastic sheets. We ended up abandoning breakfast and going out to the cafes nearby for fresh juice, omelettes+. And the same in the evenings. We were keen to bike in the mornings and hired bikes. These were dangerous & not maintained. When we stated that the front wheel of one of the bikes was missing one of the two wheel nuts holding it on, and that none of the gears worked, we were made to feel like we were causing trouble. To be fair, the hotel didn't charge us for the hire but only after we said charging was not acceptable. The Nefeli Windsurf/ paddle hire centre - which may not be connected to the hotel - also had a really poor attitude. Very expensive, virtually no service with the team spending more time talking to each other, than focusing on the clients. I hired a paddle-board and was told to go and pick one from the beach. The paddle-boards were falling to bits and in a really shabby state. We tried to book windsurf lessons but the prices were much higher than neighbouring Cosmos prices and in the end, we gave up and went next door to Cosmos. The hotel also booked our taxi pickup from Preveza and charged us 120 Euros - we subsequently discovered that booking our own taxi directly cost 85 euros. Not great.

Please avoid this hotel. All the negative comments are true! Mouldy and dirty, lying and arrogant manager. Fitness room a bad joke. At best a 2 star. To be fair, the location, sea view from upper stories and the surf school are positive aspects.

Previous stays were great. Good beach location , rooms ok. I booked a stay for August 2021 but due to a medical issue we were unable to go. Having been hospitalized I missed the deadline for cancellation. I had an email from Nefeli saying they were about to take 50% of the total stay cost! I immediately contacted the hotel and was given the managers mobile no. Having explained to him my predicament he said he would have a word with the owner and get back to me. No email ,no phone call just £700 lighter. Is there no compassion? do they not understand the situation? They have defiantly lost a customer over this.BAD COMMUNICATION, BEWARE

Dei miei clienti al momento in struttura stanno vivendo una situazione insostenibile. Sistemati come se fossero in una camerata, personale poco disponibile, sconsiglio a chiunque di pernottare presso questa struttura alberghiera. I clienti mi hanno documentato tramite foto e video un milione di criticità. Davvero pessimo, altamente sconsigliato

Το δωμάτιο που κλείσαμε ήταν στον τελευταίο όροφο του ξενοδοχείου, γωνιακό με μπαλκόνι περιμετρικά. Είχε θέα όλη την παραλία της Βασιλικής κ ήταν πραγματικά εξαιρετική! Επίσης, η παραλία ειναι ακριβώς μπροστά του! Ωστόσο τα παράθυρα κ οι μπαλκονόπορτες δεν είχαν παντζούρια παρά μόνο κουρτίνες πληρους συσκότισης που δυστυχώς επέτρεπαν περιμετρικά το φως να μπαίνει και να μας ξυπνάει το πρωί. Επίσης η κουζίνα δεν ήταν εξοπλισμένη με τα απαραίτητα. Ήμασταν 2 ενήλικες κ ένα μικρό παιδί, και διαθέτε 2 πιρουνια μόνο, κάποιες κουτάλες βρώμικες 3 πιάτα αλλά αρκετές φλυτζανες. Στο μπαλκόνι η απλώστρα είχε μόνο ένα μανταλάκι. Ευτυχώς είχε πολύ κοντά ένα μίνι μάρκετ κ προμηθευτηκαμε από εκεί ότι χρειαζόμασταν （αν και δεν θα έπρεπε να συμβαίνει σε δωμάτιο με κουζίνα）. Κατά την κράτηση αλλά κ με την άφιξη μας ζητήσαμε κούνια για το παιδί αλλά δεν την λάβαμε ποτε. Σχετικά με την καθαριότητα, όταν φτάσαμε το δωματιο ηταν καθαρό και η επίπλωση του μοντέρνα κ σχετικά καινουρια. Μείναμε 3 βραδιά αλλά η υπεύθυνη της καθαριότητας ήρθε μόνο την πρώτη μέρα που μάζεψε τα σκουπίδια κ έστρωσε το κρεβάτι. Δεν ξαναήρθε από τότε. Το μπάνιο είναι εσωτερικό και ο χώρος της ντουζιέρας είναι ένα με το πάτωμα με αποτέλεσμα να λυμναζουν τα νερά και να μην μπορείς να πατήσεις στο μπάνιο. Από το προσωπικό, ο κύριος στην ρεσεψιόν στη βραδινή βάρδια ήταν ευγενικός και προσχαρος.Ο πρωινός κάπως σαν να βαριοταν. Σίγουρα δεν είναι τεσσαρων αστέρων. Αν γίνονταν οι παραπάνω βελτιώσεις σίγουρα θα το επισκεπτόμασταν ξανά.
