Asisium Boutique Hotel

Soggiorno al top. Struttura ricettiva centrale e ben servita. Camera e bagno molto ampie. Vale assolutamente le 4 stelle. Personale molto gentile e la sala dove viene servita la colazione è davvero molto bella e intima. Nel complesso lo consiglio assolutamente. Nonostante non vi sia l'ascensore poiché è un palazzo d'epoca, la struttura merita davvero i miei complimenti! Bravi!

This charming boutique hotel is located in an historic building, just a 10 minute walk from the St. Francis Basilica. The bed and room was very comfortable and the restaurant was fantastic! There is not an elevator as the building is historic. If you cannot handle stairs, then I would not book this hotel. If you can navigate stairs, then it offers a pleasant stay.

Nicely refurbished hotel in the centre of Assisi. Very helpful reception staff who will carry your cases to your room. Our spacious room was on the first floor so not too many stairs to negotiate. Lovely relaxed feeling to the junior suite in muted colours with some of the old palace on display too. For a longer stay it would have been disappointing as the room looked onto a side passageway and the windows had obscure glass and net curtains meaning no outside view at all. Bathroom is well appointed although the lavatory was set more as a throne and there was no toilet roll holder. Even though it has been recently refurbished, the stair carpet has some stains and there are scuff marks on the walls in the communal areas. Very good range for breakfast and staff on hand for special requests. Hot water is provided by a kettle so you can have boiling water for a decent cuppa! Breakfast room has windows to the street so plenty of natural light.

Central, modern hotel in a very old building. Reasonable choice at breakfast. No lift and there were 5 flights of stairs to our room. The room initially LOOKED very good, recently renovated, everything white, comfortable bed - however..... there was no chair, just a stool and a bench or the bed. It was very warm for March, so we wanted a cool room but the air conditioning was centrally controlled and temperature couldn't be reduced (even by the staff). The shower, which had a clear glass door - so absolutely NO privacy - was in the corner of the bedroom and as the shower drenched everything inside (the control to change from overhead to handheld shower didn't work), including the towel rack, there was nowhere to have a dry towel, except outside the shower, so you had to dry yourself outside the shower. There were 3 steep tiled steps, down into the bedroom - SO dangerous! The toilet and sink were in a separate small room on the other side of the bedroom (the toilet roll holder was coming away from wall). The room looked out onto a dirty courtyard, with a washing machine and air conditioning units, and there was a distinct smell of 'drains' after using the shower. We stayed 2 nights, if it had been any longer, we would have asked to move to another room. This was an expensive hotel, but there were no tissues in the room and not even a bottle of water provided, I would not stay here again.

We selected Asisium for our 2-night stay based on TA reviews and we were not disappointed. This is our second stay inside Assisi. Great location and a very small (14 room) boutique hotel. The hotel is new, very clean and contemporary but very comfortable. Rooms are large with very comfortable beds, and a very nicely appointed bathroom. Breakfast is included and is fine--nothing over the top but all the breakfast essentials. There is an expresso/cappuccino machine in the hall way outside our room with is a nice touch. Reception was excellent and helpful. The hotel also has a restaurant where breakfast is served and then open for dinner. While the hotel does not have a bar (only 14 rooms!), there is a great wine bar immediately across the street. Only feedback I would provide is that it would have been nice to have bottled water in the room. Other than that, it was a great and comfortable stay. The hotel has an agreement with the parking lot up the street. You drop your bags off and then drive the car to the lot and you pay 20 euro per night. We had a bit of a challenge with our GPS initially finding the hotel, but eventually got there. Make sure you enter the correct end of town. You do NOT want to come in on the end with the San Francesco Church. Also, very well priced for Assisi. Overall, I highly recommend.

This is a superb hotel and a real find in the heart of Assisi. The staff are amazing…they helped us out with a car issue we had and couldn’t have done enough for us during our overnight stay. So helpful and attentive!! The bedrooms are spacious, clean and modern with great ac and bathrooms. Breakfast is served in a traditional setting and is of very good quality and great coffee. You can drop off your luggage and then move your car to a local car parking area which is only to be expected as you are right in the centre of this village and it’s a small price to pay for being so central. Thoroughly recommend this hotel and you won’t be disappointed.

On a recent trip to Umbria/Lazio we stayed in 3 hotels. This one unfortunately (which we had booked for 3 nights) came bottom of the list. There were some positives. The location is right in the centre, which in June is fine as not very noisy. We were accommodated in the 'annex' which is situation 50 metres walk from the hotel. These rooms are on 3 floors and situation in a very picturesque little piazza which also contains a very beautiful church worth visiting. The receptionist on arrival was very friendly and insisted on bringing our heavy case to the annexe and indeed carrying it up the stairs (there are no lifts). However so many things were wrong and could easily be fixed. Note that we asked many times what exactly was the 'annex' and I was referred to the website section ''dependance" - I am obviously a native English speaker and this word means nothing in this context. What we should have been told is that apart from being 50 metres from main hotel there is no receptionist based there. Should you need anything you have to walk to the hotel or someone has to come from there. They should also advise potential guests that the shower is located in the main room/bedroom. The shower is large and powerful however, depending on who you are sharing with, could be very embarrassing as the glass is see-through and even most couples do not fancy being on full view when having their shower. There are no hooks to hang your towels outside the shower or even in the small bathroom/toilet area. The tiling in the bathroom when returning from the shower was really slipey and I had to ring and ask for an additional bathmat. In the main hotel there is no bar. we asked if we could have a drink one evening and were directed down town to one of the many bars. The breakfast was the worst I have experienced in a long time. The buffet consisted of many different of pre-packed cheap type cakes and biscuits. There was no fresh fruit, a few slices of white pan bread, some strange coloured croissants and a few yogurts. Looking for some eggs, given no fruit, we found there was a small bainmarie containing something burnt and shrivelled which we eventually tasted and found it was pieces of bacon. The single portion of remaining scrambled egg appeared to have been there for hours. The only positive was the freshly made to order coffee. One of the servers appeared to be wearing pyjama bottoms although the other was quite friendly. With regard to cleanliness, the towels were changed on both days however the room was definitely not swept or dusted, bins were not emptied and on the final night on deciding to make a cup of tea I discovered a horrible mess in the kettle provided - someone tried to make tea in it maybe, but nobody had checked this out before our arrival. When trying to regulate the AC on the first night a surly man came to the room on request and told us the AC never goes below 22* and when I said that was too hot for us he simply repeated Never Never in

L"hotel è situato nel centro della città, pertanto molto strategico, ma non hanno purtroppo parcheggio. La camera è molto bella e silenziosa (come da me richiesta) sistemata in una dependance a parte. Cena in hotel molto buona. Unica nota dolente la colazione: un hotel del genere non può avere una macchinetta per le bevande calde industriale e dovrebbe proporre una vasta scelta di prodotti freschi, molto più di quea che abbiamo trovato noi. Capisco la presenza di molti stranieri, ma ci sono anche gli italiani e non sono pochi.
