Phidias Hotel

Avoid this hotel and any of its group at all costs! My mom, her friend and I reserved it several weeks in advance, we booked the transfer service with them as well. When we got to the hotel the receptionist was very nervous and told us we had to go to their other partner hotel (Golden City), by taxi (on the house). I informed her about our friend’s reduced mobility and that she was handicap, so the location was crucial. We got to Golden City and were completely mistreated by them. First, they gave us the key for the room. Okay, we went to the fourth floor. There was no room for us!!! We went downstairs to ask the receptionist, he said the room wasn’t even in the hotel, it was a rental apar**ent close to the hotel! I asked for assistance with our handicap friend’s luggage, he said he could not do anything, with a smirk on his face! We went to the building, people cooking ***** in the street. The elevator fitted only one person and it got stuck between floors. I had to kick and pull it open to take my mom out of it. The room they gave us had only one bed for the 3 of us! I went straight down to reception, gave them back the keys. Went back to Phidias. The receptionist said there were no rooms on our floor (2nd) because all of them had electrical issues and no light at all. I went outside and saw guests drinking and chatting on the balconies on that same floor she said was out of order! I’d say they booked them in for a higher price. Such scammers! Luckily I found another hotel (Dorian Inn) for the same night. The whole saga took us 4 hours, at the risk of our friend falling and injuring herself with the lack of assistance.

Excellent Hotel for visiting Athens comfortable Hotel within easy walking of all the sites. Plenty of restaurants and bars within a 5min walk.

Wonderful room and location! The receptionist at night was do kind anx helpful(short blond hair). The room was lovely with complimentary tea and kettle. It was very comfortable and though bookjng.com made an error, the receptionist honored the price. The only negative i have to say is the girl at the bar that night and whenbi chevked out wiyh a lot of makeup lonv hair and tatoos was extremely rude and unhelpful. She was so unprofessionslvompared to the lovely staff at night. Dhe refused to help md make a simple phone call to my next accomodation. She was incompetent and unprofessional in every way. I am surprised she worked there since everyone rlse was dressex appropriately and very kind. Still the value and kind trea**entbof the night staff who spent 40 minutes on the phone with bookung gor me after they hung up on her twice, coupled with the immaculate and beautiful room is worth 5 stars

DO NOT VISIT!! This hotel gave both my girlfriend and I black mold poisoning. We tried to receive compensation and they neglected us. They told us that no one has ever complained of black mold which is impossible since it seemed as though it had been growing for months. The room is small, decrepit, smells, and literally got us sick. Photos of the black mold are attached. I would highly recommend to avoid this establishment all together, there are much better options at the price point that won’t get you ill. My girlfriend and I coughed, sneezed, and our throat and lungs her for our entire stay in Greece. Avoid this place like the plague.

The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Good breakfast, very centrally located near the acropolis, shopping etc. Close to the Thissio metro so an easy commute from the airport (9 euro at this writing) and them a short walk up to the hotel. We stayed for 4 nights and had a great time.

What a beautiful little hotel! All the staff are so helpful and friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Probably 2star because there is no pool but if that doesn't bother you then you can't go wrong. Good location ,nice breakfast, excellent value. Would definitely recommend.
