Avis : Canelands Beach Club

Hosted a small conference for two days at this venue Loaction is superb , food was good ,albeit a little brushing up on service may be needed, especially when the tour buses arrive, however, staff remain friendly even when uder pressure. Rooms were very comfortable and conference room was adequate for our needs .

We spent 4 very enjoyable days at Canelands. The location is excellent - the lounge area, pool deck & restaurant were really fabulous. Although I must say the service in the restaurant was very slow. Fabulous staff, efficient & extremely friendly. However, the one disappointing aspect was the accommodation itself. Very small room, with low-budget finishes, and the bathroom was VERY average. Great sea view though !

Terrible service received. We waited over an hour for breakfast and when it arrived, the food was cold. Over and above that the bill come inclusive of a service charge, regardless how terrible the service was. I will never recommend this place to anyone. The views are amazing though

This hotel is beautifully-located, serene and safe. Service was very attentive and helpful. Our room was on the smaller side, but not too cramped for a short stay. It had a great private balcony overlooking the stunning Indian Ocean. Beach access is easy and close - simply walk a couple steps down from the pool! A suggestion for improvement might be getting thicker hotel room doors or sound proofing the doors somehow. It's a small hotel and it's quite noisy at all hours. When you’re trying to sleep you can hear lots of staff members at the front desk on their phones and chatting with one another.

Excellent location at the sea. Breathtaking views. Beautiful swimming pool. Rooms are very large with comfortable bed. Large bathroom with good shower. Rooms could get some refurbishment: spotlight rims falling apart, mirror in bathroom flaking, door to the dressing completely stuck. No fine dining restaurant.

Hosted my husband’s 40th birthday oh my … it was an event of the year. The views of the sea from the balcony,,, breathtaking!This place is amazing… the staff went all out to execute the weekend to our liking and beyond… it was smooth and first class all the way.

A wonderful place to stay after nearly three weeks travelling through the Karoo, Midlands area and the Battlefields area. Canelands was right on the beach at Salt Rock and is a beautiful boutique hotel, The food was very good and the staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Our room had a wonderful view of the sea with a large Balcony. As their was a wedding taking place on the Saturday with dinning arrangements having to change due to an imminent thunder storm we were offered dinner and wine in our room compliments of the manager. Sadly we could not use the Balcony - however we enjoyed watching a rather wild thunder storm whilst having dinner. The hotel provided a wonderful relaxing stay helping us to unwind before our travels back to the UK.

We spent three nights here relaxing towards the end of a 16 night tour of South Africa and loved every minute. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a deluxe room which had amazing sea views and a huge balcony. We ate here every night and the food cannot be faulted, it really was excellent and very good value for money. Breakfast was also top notch. The service from all staff members was some of the best we’ve had on all of our travels and was always with a ‘genuine’ smile. We would like to mention one staff member in particular who was an absolute delight to be around and that was ‘Joy’, her happiness, friendliness and enthusiasm was infectious, thank you Joy! One small disappointment during our stay was that they were undertaking maintenance to the swimming pool, but this of course couldn’t be helped. There was a thunderstorm one evening which was amazing to watch through the huge patio doors of the bedroom. One note to make is that we actually visited in October 2022 but I was unable to go back that far when writing the review, sorry it’s taken so long!

A wonderful place to stay right on the beach at Salt Rock. Canelands is a boutique hotel which is luxurious, the food is great and the staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Our room had a wonderful view of the sea and daily we could see whales and Dolphins from there. The hotel even has a bell ehich is rung when a sighting is made! A wonderful relaxing place to stay especially after arriving in South Africa after a long flight.

The place is absolutely beautiful, very clean, peaceful and amazing friendly staff members. The staff had a beautiful romantic breakfast setup over looking the water Saturday morning and it was amazing.

Awesome views for the beach, very clean. Tight parking entrance....went there for the spa only. The massage was okay but the pedicure was a rushed job & they seemed to just want it over & done with. Initially had been denied the robes for the spa, allegedly bcz all the robes had gone for laundry but in the end they gave us robes...

This Hotel was just incredible, we had the most gorgeous room with an incredible view over the ocean. The food was incredible we felt so welcomed in the whole area. There was nothing we could’ve complained about. We were lucky to see whales and dolphins before we left and that even put a cherry ontop of our stay. I had a tiny car accident (caused by myself) and Thobani took incredible care of us and even helped us out with getting an police report. All we can say is we would definitely come back and just recommend this gorgeous place.

We stayed just the one night at Canelands and sadly did not have dinner there. However after a long flight we had a warm welcome and a beautiful suite with fabulous views and a massive balcony overlooking the sea. We had a generous glass of wine (very reasonable price) while we waited for our upgraded room - very comfortable bed and a delicious breakfast the next morning. Would not hesitate to stay here again if we come back to the beautiful north cape.

What a lovely place. The views of the sea are stunning. Definitely book a room with a Seaview. The staff were friendly and the food at 2 Shrimps restaurant was good. Rooms impeccable and spacious. Would definitely recommend
