I stayed at vision apartments Basel with my husband for 3 nights. We were quite impressed with the room (we had a mid range larger apartment) which was nicely decorated and the shower room was very nice and modern and great shower. The location is very good being a short walk from the train station and trams. Also walkable to nearby shopping areas and old town. However, I won't stay here again if I can help it as the customer service is appalling. We found the onsite reception staff to be unnecessarily unhelpful, unreasonable and uncaring. I've never experienced such apathy from customer facing staff. However I add that the housekeeping staff I encountered in the hall were friendly and welcoming to me.

Recently, we stayed in the Vision Apartments for a week. The building is located just a few minutes walk from the Basel train station which made for easy access to the trains for day trips. This allowed us to pack a lunch for a day of sightseeing and then come back to the room and fix supper. We booked a studio apartment and when we checked in were assigned room 314. The room was located on the south west corner of the building which put us just above the busy street. The room was fairly spacious and included a nice bathroom, sitting area, kitchenette with table and chairs and the bed. There were three windows but only one of them opened about 2 inches so we didn't have any cool air flowing. The room did get stuffy and there didn't seem to be any cool air coming out the vents in the ceiling. Luckily there was a standing floor fan which we kept running continuously while in the room and at night. The kitchen was pretty well equipped with the basics but didn't have a frying pan so we had to use one of the pots that were there. We asked customer service about getting a frying pan but they said we had to use what was there. We also asked them about the lack of air conditioning and they also replied that there was nothing they could do. Not very helpful at all!! The facilities in the building were nice and modern. Laundry machines in the basement were Miele brand so were modern and easy to use. The workout room was stocked with free weights, bench, cardio and a large combination weights pully machine. On the roof is small plunge pool, which is not heated, and a pool bar that must only be open in the summer. Overall, we enjoyed the room and building and would consider staying there again when we return to Basel.

I’ve stayed here twice now, and really cannot complain: at first, I found the website and booking system cumbersome and was uncertain of the pass code entry system… but it’s worked smoothly for me. The location is great - a block or two away from the central station, so handy if you arrive late at night. Also handy for places to get breakfast - I recommend Dean + David or Starbucks. Rooms are clean and functional. Some are starting to show signs of wear and tear, but nothing that makes the stay uncomfortable. I’ve never cooked in my room, but probably wouldn’t - I typically stay on Basel for a couple of days, no more than a week, so just eat out.

The hotel was near the train station - that was the only plus. Upon entering, the room had an odd smell; I opened windows and looked for a fan. No fan, except the shower fan. The room was also warm - I knew there was no AC but figured that there would at least be a fan. I attempted to sleep in the very hot room, jetlagged, only to get a knock on the door the next morning to please close my window for window cleaning. Mind you, window cleaning was supposed to be over (there was a note on the counter when I checked in stating this was happening, but this was supposed to have ended.) My stay was supposed to be four nights but after two nights of AWFUL sleep, and two mornings in a row of being woken up by a knock at my door for window cleaning, I decided to seek a refund and find a different place to stay. They denied that there was any work going on (even though I sent photos) and refused my request. I stayed one more night, was woken up one more time (even though my window was closed they knocked on the door to tell me to OPEN THE BLINDS!) Completely ridiculous and frustrating. I checked out early and ate the cost of a new hotel room for my final night, so that I could actually get some sleep and not have a morning wake-up call. Even without this going on, know that the rooms are stuffy and have zero ventilation.

Facilities are good but the SERVICE IS BAD!!!!!! (SPECIALLY HOUSEKEEPING)!!! I could go on and on on how, SINCE THE BEGINNING OF MY STAY (3 months), I had ONLY 1 REFILL OF TOILET PAPER AND THE FLOOR HAS NEVER BEEN CLEANED, but for now I'll let you in in 3 specific incidents that really took me aback. First One - One day I came into my room, in this specific week, and no cleaning had been done. When I say no cleaning, I mean no cleaning at all (bed sheets had not been replaced, the towels were all dirty on the floor and obviously no cleaning at all). I went to find housekeeping and kindly explained the situation and asked her if, at least, I could have the bed sheets changed, because I simply could not sleep in those conditions. What was her response? SHE GAVE ME THE TOWELS AND BED SHEETS SO I COULD CHANGE IT MYSELF!!!!!! Not only did I have to remove all the dirty bed sheets (+ dirty towels, etc), but also HAD TO PUT EVERYTHING (BED SHEETS, FRESH TOWELS, ETC) INTO PLACE AND OUT OF THE ROOM!!!!!!!!!! Second One - The fact that one employee (around 20’s - Brazilian), entered my room under the pretext that he had to count inventory ONE MONTH BEFORE THE END OF MY STAY. Also note that he DID NOT OPEN ANY DRAWERS AT ALL. You don’t even really need a degree or any kind of professional background to know that INVENTORY SHOULD NOT BE DONE, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, ONE MONTH BEFORE THE ENDING OF A CLIENTS’ STAY, NEITHER IN FRONT OF THE CLIENT. This situation made me feel super unsafe and uncomfortable. Third One - (Today): I came into the room, minutes after housekeeping had finished 'cleaning' and once again the floor hadn't been cleaned and this time (instead of the toilet paper - only time it has been filled) they forgot to put 2 table cloths for the kitchen. So, as I normally do, I went towards a housekeeping cart (which can be found in the different floors in front of the room ALWAYS UNATTENDED) and took 2 of them - exact quantity it should have been put in the room. Please bear in mind that I have done this EVERY SINGLE WEEK SINCE THE BEGUINNING OF MY STAY (always for toilet paper and less frequently for towels or other things they would forget). Never been a problem until today. When the FEMALE HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER spotted this, she started shouting towards me telling me that I needed to ASK FOR IT. I HAD NEVER SEEN A PROFESSIONAL, WITHIN THE WORKPLACE, ACT WITH SO MUCH DISRESPECT AND RUDENESS TOWARDS A CLIENT. Not only her rudeness and unprofessionalism were completely uncalled for, but even more the fact that this incident occurred due to her incompetence and failure of doing her job correctly (over and over again). I also work within the hospitality industry and, even in situations way less serious than this one, is equivalent to direct firing of the individual that behaves in this type of way. Not only has she proved, over and over again, that she (FEMALE HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER) does not check if the rooms have been cleaned to standards

My partner and I stayed at Vision Apartments last weekend for an overnight stay and we were satisfied. Before arrival we received the code for the parking and room/main entrance and managed to get to our stay without any problems. The entry of the parking lot maybe is a bit narrow for larger cars. The apartment itself had everything we needed, was nicely decorated and, clean. From Vision Apartments we could easily reach the central station with a 5-minute walk which allowed us to take public transport to wherever we needed to go in the city. The building is easily reachable by car, and reasonably quiet considering being so central. We would consider staying at Vision Apartments again at our next stay in Basel.

Had my reservations while booking this hotel as there were limited reviews online but pleasantly surprised at overall quality. Conveniently located near train station and groceries store, with plenty of restaurants of varying cuisines around. Our room was facing away from the road so it was quiet and we got restful sleeps. Check-in was smooth, where we received the code prior to out arrival. There is no help desk on site so you'd have to call/email if you had any issues, thankfully our stay was issue-free.
