We had a most wonderful stay at the Cuthbert House recently! The renovations are beautiful, but above all, the owner and staff are what make this b&b so special. From beginning to end, a spirit of excellence is weaved throughout all that transpires within this historical house by the bay. Thank you Suzanne, Laurie, Karen, Matt, Carli (and Joel). My husband and I stayed at the Cuthbert House for three nights this week and our visit there was exceptional!! They surprised us and upgraded our room to a beautiful two bedroom suite because they knew it was our 40th anniversary!! The inn has just been through renovations with the new owners and the decor is gorgeous!! The hospitality was wonderful and the food was exceptional, from a buffet breakfast to afternoon social appetizers to snacks/sweet treats at night!! The owners truly strive to meet your every need. We loved sitting on their large front porch every evening with the beautiful view of the waterway and the inn is conveniently located on Bay Street where all of the shops and restaurants are within walking distance. You can park your car at the inn and walk around town without ever having to get in your car. The inn is a 25 minute drivefrom Hunting Island State Park, so we made two trips to the beach. We also enjoyed the town of Port Royal, which is just a few minutes away. We would highly recommend a stay at the Cuthbert House any time of the year!!

I just returned from the most lovely stay at the Cuthbert House! From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. The owners, Suzanne & Matt, and staff were warm and welcoming, and their beautiful property was newly renovated and gorgeous. The room was perfection-spacious, full of light with a plush bed and fantastic bathroom. Breakfast was daily lemon water, evening cocktails, appetizers & homemade cookies.The Cuthbert House is perfectly located, across the water & within walking distance to downtown. They have bicycles if you prefer. I can't recommend it enough - it's the perfect blend of charm, comfort, and hospitality. I can't wait to go back!" 5/5 stars!

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay at the Cuthbert House. The entire staff was very welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was perfect. From the happy hour, to the French press coffee, to the extended breakfast times, we could not have been happier. The Eastlake Suite was very impressive and we felt like royalty. The view from the porch overlooks the marsh and intracoastal waterway, and waterfront restaurants are only a few blocks away. We highly recommend the Cuthbert House and would definitely make a return visit in the future.

Visited the Cuthbert House this past weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday with my wife. Excellent experience with owners, staff, process and facility from start to finish. Luxurious, thoughtful and relaxing all around- and a great location just a short walk from everything to do in Beaufort.

Highly Recommend! We had such a fantastic stay at The Cuthbert House. The Inn was absolutely beautiful. Suzanne and Chris (the owners) have impeccable taste and every detail of their recently renovated establishment was pitch perfect. Beyond the building itself the people really made the stay memorable. Everyone (especially Matt and Karen) went out of their way to make us feel at home and truly special. They thought of everything from chocolates, baked goods & cocktail hour every night to breakfast with french pressed coffee every morning. The team is so knowledgeable about the area and provided fantastic suggestions on fun ways to fill the days. We can’t say enough good things about our experience. If there is one negative it would be that Suzanne and Chris don’t have more properties for us to visit.

Wonderful hospitality. The staff went beyond to create a memorable experience. We enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard. The room was very clean and spacious . Enjoyed the chocolates they brought each night. The house was beautifully appointed. with lovely art work. Scenic location across from the water. We will be returning.

The best experience I have ever had at a “hotel”!! The room was spotless, the staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area - had so many for suggestions for things to do. They offer so many extras so you can pack light. They really thought of everything. The best part is all the little surprises that are included with your stay - breakfast, social hour, treats, snacks, beverages!! We will be back and we are bringing friends next time!!! My only concern is that another hotel will never meet our expectations after this stay!!

My wife and I love this Inn in Beaufort, SC. We are repeat customers and have recommended this B and B to family and friends. The accommodations are exceptional, the food delicious and the location in walking distance of the historic downtown. The Cuthbert House Inn will exceed your every expectation in terms of service, location, food and beverages. The Inn has undergone renovations since our previous stays. The renovations are beautiful and functional, although no longer showcasing the historic victorian style furnishings. A unique place to stay in downtown Beaufort.
