The major reason to stay at this hotel is its proximity to the airport, obviously. This is in conjunction with the fact they offer a shuttle service. I arrived very late at night and had a morning flight, so this seemed ideal. First of all, they charged me for the service, as apparently it is not included. Secondly, they charged me the price of a taxi fare for the same distance (kind of defeats the purpose of booking through them). Third, the car was full with three other patrons who collectively paid the same fee than I did for one person. Fourth, I was asked to depart earlier than required (clearly for the other patrons) but the driver showed up late so I woke up earlier than needed. Lastly, the hotel is not near a train station so you’d actually be better off taking the train or cabbing straight to the airport which will likely be collectively cheaper and more seamless. Generally, I felt a bit cheated and next time will just stay in central Beijing rather than opting for what I presumed would derive some additional convenience.
PS: the hotel facilities are quite nice, I had no issue there.
