Good and bad, booked nab room for my birthday and anniversary, when we arrived at 4.pm ish went straight to nab room, omg it was freezing, couldn't work heating, husband went and asked how to work it and they didn't know but 30 minutes later heating came on, well slightly, 2 thirds of radiator didn't work, room very big and lots windows, never have I spent the evening in my coat and scarf in a hotel. We were both very cold. Went for booked meal which was good and had glass of free procecco each for our celebration, which was nice. Got back to room and still very cold,still cold in night and morning. Room was OK but needs a bit off TLC. Great views. Good breakfast but ordered poached eggs and crispy bacon chef forgot bacon and had to wait. Think the place are concentrateing on bar and food. Staff and manager tryed but not sorted, not really good enough or of place to go in winter time.

We had a good experience here. We hadn't booked but as they were just opening for the evening it was very quiet. It did get busier later on. The food is a little expensive but was plentiful and tasty. The service was excellent and the host very friendly. The tables were set beautifully with a candle. The toilets were clean. My only criticism was that it was a bit cold in the restaurant. I would return.

worst service in restaurant staff very rude . Food average . Staff just standing around took 45 mins to take our order only after we complained. Quality of food average and not worth the money. Would not recommend.

Well this has got to be the most chaotic service I have encountered. Turned up at 7:10. Asked for water no water asked for water again no water. Waited 30 minutes to order. Had to interrupt a member of staff to remind them we were here. Still no water or the drinks we had ordered. I got up and got my own water in the end. 35 mins after ordering got a starter My salmon was tasty but getting cold. Main course another 30 or so minutes. Husbands second beer never arrived. Asked twice more got it eventually. My seafood tagliatelle was nice but hubby had raw veg with his beef. Must say staff could not apologise enough. However looking at other reviews I think the management need to take a hard look at their business and service. Disappointed to say the least after my daughter previously had a good meal here and recommended

Sometimes things don’t go completely according to plan and it’s the measure of the excellent customer service we received that started our evening so well after a booking mix up. The staff were brilliant, the service spot on and the food was just amazing. Definitely recommend eating here.

This was always our first port of call after getting off the ferry, but it won't be any more. Great location. Good seating outdoors. But the food is nowhere near as good as a couple of years ago, and the prices are steep. The guy who brought our drinks spilt one across our table. Thought he would come back with a cloth to wipe it up, but he didn't. Ownership/chef must have changed. Bread was stale. Had run out of olives - at noon! Crab salad not a patch on what it used to be.

We are so pleased we booked here for two nights as part of our motorcycle tour of the island. What a lovely setting overlooking the sea and right on the costal path, giving easy access to Bembridge beach and an easy stroll of the village. There are only 5 rooms, all traditionally furnished, clean and comfortable, ours overlooked the sea. The pub has a lovely relaxed atmosphere with a bar area for those that just want a drink and three indoor dining areas. We were fortunate that the weather was warm and sunny, so we’re able to take full advantage of the large seaside terrace. The food and drinks are good and well priced, for a gastro pub. Without exception, what really makes the Crab & Lobster stand out are all the staff from the Manager, Mark who leads a wonderful team with amazing bar and waiting staff (special hug for Evie), including the kitchen brigade who popped out for a chat about the bike, housekeeping who were lovely. Thank you all for making our stay special.

First things first. We stayed overnight so booked in to the restaurant for an evening meal and had breakfast there. The evening meal was very good although the waiter wasn’t exactly too enthusiastic in his job. The breakfast was also good. However, the themed room we had booked into was a big disappointment. One look at the door to the property was a sign of what was to come inside. It was tired, tatty and looked as though it hadn’t had a coat of stain or paint in years. The interior was dirty with dust on the bedside tables and a couple of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. This was a hotel destination that was for special occasions. It’s now trading on the past but offering very little but premium prices.
