Lovely hotel from a time long gone by. Sea view rooms are a must, as the view and sounds of the sea are exceptional. The staff are all very helpful especially the cleaning ladies. The restaurant and cafe are both well run and the breakfast are great value.

Terrible experience in the restaurant. The person at the entrance is extremely rude bordering abusive. We went in as we thought our friends were already there and we were told off and informed that we needed to wait for our turn 'as everyone else' before going in and that we should not have gone inside just because we have a baby. We finally got a table after a long wait in which we had to listen to him treat others the same way (both foreign and local customers). Finally, we were given a table in the sun even after asking for cover as we have a year old baby and there were clearly tables under cover available. Apparently these were not available (they stayed empty the whole time we were there) so we asked whether it was possible to have the shades unfolded to which he said that the wind was too strong and so they won't be able to unfold them yet. After an hour waiting for orders to be taken, my husband went to get our son to sleep walking around inside while we were ordering and the same person proceeded to come up to him and shout in his face asking if he was waiting for a table (he knew we already had one) and woke our son up. We don't expect special treatment just for having a baby but it seemed this person purposely tried to make it difficult for us. If so, he should find another job, his manners are not appropriate to be in a customer-facing role. Regarding the food, the burgers were dry, the service was slow and a friend was given normal milk in her coffee when she asked for oat. Not a big deal but just another indicator of poor service. As a Spaniard, i would not recommend to locals and with an English husband, we would not recommend to tourists.

The Vromar hotel is situated on the beach . The views are beautiful and the hotel is very comfortable . The breakfast is delicious , egg and bacon, toast, fresh fruits , rolls, cheeses ,hams croissants , jams, fresh orange juice, coffee and tea The staff are all very polite and helpful. The receptionist looked up local places of interest to check to see the opening times and answered our many questions Would highly recommend .

Stayed at this hotel for many years. Still has the same charm and the ambiance is “au naturel”. This time, I was not pleased with the half hour breakfast, allegedly if you would like a sea view‼️ I am sorry but whilst on holiday I am NOT being rushed at breakfast time. Also, having to wait for ajo for 20 minutes, albeit being busy. Suggestion❓ Put some cloves out on the serving table but please don’t ask me to rapido❓Also in the residential area there was an outside sporting party going on. I am fine about having fun but think there should be an area to get away from the noise. Thought I had found a quiet place. Only to be told that they were having a conference and would only take 15 minutes instead of 2 hours. Was not happy and therefore we checked out, although we should have been there another 4 days.

The hotel is situated directly at the beach in a great location. However very small rooms with no amenities: coffee/ tea would be the least. The size ofthe room males that only one can move around at the time. The balcony however is great and in summer superb. During our stay the airconditioning in the room wasn’t working; it looked as if it was on, but centrally it was switched off and more guests were complaining. The restaurant can be skipped:better look for an outside alternative or use the beach terrace with simpler but decant food. The more expensive inside dining is a disappointment: although the internet site gives you high hopes, once inside the food is disappointing: the amuse should have been a warm ‘croquete’, being a house special. Reality: a cold oiled snack. This temperature seems to be an ongoing thing; maybe the kitchen works faster than the service, but all was served at too low temperatures and the fishes from our main dish undercooked. A shme that even friendly staff serving it, can’t make up for. The promise of ‘great cuisine’ is never lived up to. The cook simply does a sloppy and hasty job; even the baked eggs, at a too simple breakfast, were cold and un-eatable. Positive on the other hand: pets allowed (maybe the reason why we got a lousy room?), relaxed staff and beach access. Parking of your car upfront however is a challenge. All in all: disappointing and a sweaty night.

Hotel genial situado, muy buena ubicación, reformado. Vieje de pocos dias con peña sporting de Gijon. Destacar el personal, la ubicación y buen bufet. Vistas estupendas al puerto y a la playa desde la terraza solárium planta de arriba, piscina por la época no pudimos probar. Me gustó todo y volvería sin dudarlo.
