Numa l Drift Rooms & Apartments

The position is ok, the room and breakfast is good. But the service is not as good as I expected. I booked a room with breakfast for two, you need to check in both to get pin and room number. If one is early, he has to wait until both checked in. Anyway it is not that kind of hotel i would book again.

Para hacer el checking es online y es un coñazo… a veces falla las taquillas y hay que esperar a que venga alguien… que pueden tardar unos 30min tranquilamente. No hay nadie en recepción… solo horas concretas de algunos días…. Eso si, el dormir allí muy tranquilo y muy bien ubicado porque tienes al lado la estación de metro y bus que enseguida te lleva al centro. Limpieza muy buena y siempre te dejan algún detalle para desayunar como cápsulas de café, bolsas de té, patatas, bebida fría en la nevera….

Numa I Drift & Apartments, Berlin! The apartments are conveniently located right next to a metro station, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. The hotel also has a small parking area where you can enter via a car lift, which can be a bit tricky. It's recommended to make a reservation in advance. Numa I Drift & Apartments strike the perfect balance between comfort and budget-friendliness. Many rooms also offer beautiful views of Berlin's cityscape. Additionally, there are plenty of food stores, restaurants, bars, and cafes nearby. This place is an excellent choice for a short stay in Berlin. Drift failed me in three areas (in ascending order of importance): cleanliness, Wi-Fi, water. The bedroom and shower areas were scruffy and in need of TLC. Random marks and stains over almost every wall and floor; it had the feel of a leisure centre rather than a hotel. The Wi-Fi was an on-going gripe: I had to work from the room a little and it’s almost completely unusable. I tried booking a supermarket shop and because the connection kept cutting, the site wouldn’t accept to order - and you definitely won’t be able to take Zoom calls or stream. I don’t expect an office quality connection, but it’s somewhat ironic that I couldn’t even connect to the check-out QR code on the first couple of tries. The last straw was receiving an email with less than 24hrs notice saying that the water would be turned off for maintenance on the day I was due to check out, between approx 8-9am. I got up at 7am to leave for my flight…. no water. A day of travel ahead of me feeling grubby. Pluses? The breakfast is ok - cold juices and fresh rolls and pastries. There was also a free lemonade and beer in the room fridge (which was the only food/drink available in the hotel off hours sadly). I’m not hugely fussy, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel when there are so many others about.

I want whoever designed the rooms at Numa Drift Berlin to redesign my apartment! The layout of the room and everything in it was absolutely fantastic and that's for sure the number 1 advantage of this residence. The check in and check out experience couldn't have been smoother and the communication via WhattsApp (in English) was very simple and effective. I am not a fussy traveller, so what really matters for me is the location, the comfort of basic amenities like the bathroom and the bed, and of course the cleanliness. Numa Drift exceeded my expectations in all regards. You can basically walk to some of the main attractions of the City or take the U Bahn which is located just metres away. Feeling like coffee or just want to buy some fresh fruit? A choice of cafés, restaurants and supermarkets is available within walking distance. Thank you Numa Drift for making our stay in Berlin memorable. I hope I'll be able to try your other establishments in other cities :)

I have booked this hotel - with a non-refundable rate, but was not able to fly to Berlin due to sickness. Even with a cancellation of more than 24hours the hotel was not open to even partially refund my 3 night stay. My assumption was that even if you book a non- refundable rate in case of an emergency you have a chance for a partial refund or a voucher for your next stay. But this is not case. Very disappointing- and definitely something to consider for next time.

You will find a room that is comparable to many other hotel rooms in Berlin. But the (total) lack of service and the constant miscommunication is a different story altogether. There is no reception desk, so if you have a question or a problem (which I and most others guests I spoke to had) everything goes by whatsapp. This system would work if the staff were competent and efficient, but unfortunately this not the case at all. You will need a lot of patience and energy, and in the end most of the times you will probably just give up because the staff is so incompetent (or even rude). It feels like being drawn into a communication swamp. I would advise anybody to think twice before staying here. I definitely will not come back.
