Les hôtels européens sont plus anciens mais globalement propres. Il fait chaud sans climatisation. Il n'est pas pratique de ne pas autoriser l'entrée et la sortie après le stationnement à 10 heures.

Uns hat unser Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen. Das Hotel ist wirklich sehr günstig gelegen an der Schnittstelle zwischen Mitte und Prenzlauer Berg und man kann vieles gut zu Fuß erreichen. Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich und geräumig, das Team sehr freundlich. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt auch. Wir werden den Kastanienhof gern weiterempfehlen.

This hotel was welcoming and gracious, even when I changed my reservation a couple times. I booked well in advance of our stay. We had a lovely little room and it was well-priced and affordable for the tourist season. The staff was helpful and friendly. The most amazing thing about this hotel is its location. This neighbourhood has it all. It's close to coffee shops, amazing food and an eclectic blend of people who are so chill, yet so fun. We joined in their party-like a**osphere on the weekends as they shared drinks in the local park, and coffee at nearby cafes. This hotel is quieter than thrones down further and more famous at the nearest larger intersection. We LOVED Berlin: it's my new favourite European city, and this neighbourhood with its perfect mix of people is one of the reasons. We also caught the trams and Underground down the street at the corner. It goes to the main station. The hotel has some bikes to use but they were too big for me. NO A/C, but good beds and pillows. Small rooms. The history of this small hotel is amazing. Good food and coffee in the am, or pay for coffee nearby. Most ppl in the city speak English, and are very tourist-friendly. Perfectly SAFE. We were the ones paranoid lol. There is a rental bike shop 4-5 doors down with a super-friendly owner. If you're a cyclist, this is the place for you. You can ride anywhere on the city's protected paths, then leave the city and ride to the next small town. Amazing sites on the way. 30k to 100+

Hotel is located on very busy street with people talking, singing, screaming at 3 a.m. Road noise is extremely loud. Trams, trucks, cars sound like they are driving right next your bed. Can't close windows to buffer loud noises because there is no air-conditioning and the room is still stuffy. Go someplace else if you want to sleep.

We had a wonderful stay here for 9 nights. The hotel's location is fantastic, with all the cafes and restaurants of Prenzlauer Berg close by, and you can walk or bike farther afield, or take nearby trams or U-Bahns. The room was a wonderful oasis to come home to in the late afternoon, in between morning and evening outings. The bed was comfortable, and we liked facing the street (Kastanienallee) --- we set up the little table and two chairs to look out the window. We also rented bicycles from the hotel--great bikes at a good price. The staff was all-around lovely.

The hotel is located in front of a tram stop (M1) that takes you to the center in a few minutes. The hotel staff was very nice, the room was clean and pretty, with big windows. There are many restaurants and stores in that area. I recommend this hotel for your next stay in Berlin.

This is a very good Hotel for the money in Berlin. I stayed here for 4 nights in May 2023. I was very happy with my choice. The location was perfect and the hotel offers a traditional family run mid priced stay. I was a single and the room had a single bed and was small but very comfortable and I slept very well every night. This is not a luxury offering and the rooms are somewhat basic. But they are clean, comfortable and have German character. The breakfast is an extra 15 euros per day. it is a good wholesome breakfast.

Booked for me, but worked out well. Very friendly and comfortable place. Room was spacious and comfortable., and above all quiet so a good night's sleep. Bathroom clean and functional. Unfortunately the bathroom light went in the blink on the second night which they were unable to fix before I left. Breakfast was decent and adequate if not exciting. Usual German cold collation although there was hot sausage, bacon and egg tucked away in the corner not very obviously. S Bahn stops outside and U Baja not far away. Prenzlauerberg is not far from the centre in any event.
