Toloman Hotel Bitez Beach

Thank you to all of the staff , we had an excellent time location is perfect right on the shoreline . Our room was clean and had a sea view , everything you need is on hand and served with a smile . Local bus services nearby and close to other restaurants and bars .

So this is a tricky one to review. Let's go in two stages. The location is absolutely superb. Right on the beach. You can have breakfast, drinks and evening meals on the beach. The food is pretty good, although breakfast is a little limited. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is reasonably big and everywhere is clean. And the rooms are a decent size too. BUT. The rooms themselves are dated, the mini bar fridge didn't work, the lights sometimes stopped working, the rooms could do with a complete revamp. Overall though we loved the character of the hotel. Just be prepared for rooms which leave something to be desired.

Shush......dont tell anyone. But this is an amazing hotel. It is my first time here but it won't be my last The staff are great and so far the best food that I have here. I have loomed at past reviews and people said rooms are dated. I don't care how dated people think they are. They are not dated to me and they are ultra clean. You have pool and you are right on the beach. This year I came bedand breakfast, time I will come half board. The food at this hotel is great. But as I said please don't tell anyone how good this hotel is, otherwise I won't get in next year.

Background - I went away with two friends, two rooms, half board arrived end of July '23 Positives: Bitez is a beautiful bay and the beach and bar is less than a 10 second walk from the hotel! Outstanding staff - good English (or will find someone to help), cheerful character and happy to help with anything. From the nice man that helps with breakfast to the evening barman, all great. Cleaners are friendly and do a wonderful job. Breakfast - Traditional Turkish (choice of bread, tomatoes, cucumber, salad, cake, cheese x2, ham/salami, boiled and scrambled eggs, jams, tea, coffee, juice, cereals x 2) Rooms - reasonable size, clean, tidy, cleaned/checked every day by cleaners. No issues with its 3 star rating. Bar area - good and quick service Pool - cleaned every day, no issues Overall felt very safe - 24 hour reception Half Board evening meal: This was three courses, with good choices for each course. It was possible to "upgrade" to a la carte and pay the difference, which I recommend in an excellent option as the food is ALL amazing. Less than two minutes from local supermarket, shops, boat trips. Less than 10 minute walk to taxi rank and local buses. Bitez has traditional Turkish bars and restaurants, Hotel bars on the sea front, both higher and lower end. Even a British bar with its excellent steak house. G, A and S would like to say a personal thank you to: Salih (Superstar), Alper, Bayram, Berzan, Gulvahit, Mutlu, the Manager & his wife, Receptionist and my great cleaner. Negatives Pool is a good size and its sun bathing area is quite small, although there are plenty of chairs etc to sit on if there's no sunloungers We had issues with aircon, but these were resolved (to tell you truth, it was probably us not realising how to work it!) 40 Euros to keep your room on the last day, but there are showers available to use for free. Thank you for an excellent holiday and for welcoming us into the Toloman Family. We will return x Personal note - you won't regret the Toloman or Bitez. Enjoy! Tips - book a "Blue Boat" trip with Jesus by the Manuella hotel (£23 for the day with lunch and snack); don't be afraid to catch the local bus to Gumbet (party town) or Bodrum (shopping, culture, funky bars/clubs) for 30p (they are government owned and run); travel down to the end of the beach for the craft stall ran by lovely ladies at night; Taxi is approx £4 (Gumbet) and £6 (Bodrum); exchange rate is better in Bitez, plenty of places 5 minute walk away to change approx 35 TLR to the pound as I write; Try the local barbers and mani/pedi; Bitez also has it's own fake designer shop as well as traditional crafts. Evening entertainment every night at the Lemon Tree Restaurant (traditional Turkish group), Manuella (everything from Karaoke to dance groups) and the Ambrosia (singing group every night singing top hits)

Fab hotel, excellent location right on the beach, staff are fab ,& they and the family can't do enough for you. Food is fantasic. Portions huge. Very clean. Highly recommend. Although on the beach it has a great pool too. It is a small & very friendly hotel.

Brilliant hotel, great location food amazing. The only criticism is that the rooms could do with updating. The first room We stayed in was very small couldn’t get in the shower without a struggle and balcony furniture needed replacing. Second room we moved to was much better. Staff were very friendly food was amazing. Will definitely go back next year

There is something so special about the Toloman hotel. It is friendly and welcoming. It feels cosy and comfortable. The staff are all amazing. It was actually a struggle to find reasons to leave the hotel. The food we had in the hotel restaurant was the best we found it bitez. The beach was absolutely perfect with plenty of loungers, parasols, and a covered path leading 100ft into the sea so you don’t have to walk on the stones. There’s a shop 100 yards away that sells everything you need. It was one of the best holidays I’ve had for a very long time. We went on a beautiful boat trip organised by woody who you can find next to the mosque or just by asking the staff. Half hour boat ride to Kos for a day too. I want to go back next year. Would definitely highly recommend to anyone thinking of going.

Have to agree with those who say this place is dated, but what the heck. Everything you need is there, albeit not so modern as some. The whole place is kept spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great, smack on the beach, and it's the first place we have been to that lay a carpet out into the sea!! Breakfast is the same every day. The usual Turkish selection plus scrambled eggs. Suited us down to the ground.

Fabulous hotel right on the beach with a great pool at the back of it. Never have I been made to feel so welcome - at the end of our two weeks, we felt like we were part of a 'Turkish Family'. We will definitely be back. Rooms are clean and comfortable - and what more do you need - you don't stay in your room for any length of time except for showering and sleeping. The hotel is located right on the beach with shops, restaurants and bars all along the promenade, so you don't actually need to wander very far at all. Breakfast is typical Turkish - cheeses, olives, herbs, bread, chicken sausage, scrambled eggs or hard boiled eggs, if you want the bread toasted, you just have to ask. If you can't or don't want the Turkish Tea - there is the option of English Tea and Coffee available. Orange and Water are also available at breakfast. The layout is perfect, lots of couches to lay about on during lunch and after dinner - plenty of shade available. The food was delicious - I can recommend the whole menu to be honest! No complaints there. When dining in the evening, you can choose to sit at the front of the hotel or actually on the beach! Service is spectacular. All the staff feel like they are one big happy family and you can't fault anything. I will add that during our stay, I had to go into hospital with acute bronchitis - Huseyin in reception was brilliant in helping and sorting everything out for us - as he was with anything requested. So, all in all, I can't find anything to complain about. Thank you 'Toloman Family' for making our holiday so fantastic. We WILL be back to see you all next year!
