Woodhouse Hotel

Found this place by accident. Host outside invited us in. Food and service amazing. Lovely modern decor with a relaxed feel. We were made so welcome. The owner showed us pictures of what the place used to look like and the refurbishment has certainly paid off.

My husband and I went for Sunday lunch the food was wonderful he had the beef and I had the chicken both were superb and cooked to perfection! The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and they had a pianist playing so it was very relaxing and enjoyable The owners are very friendly and helpful and the staff are very attentive we will definitely return again!

We are staying locally for the weekend. We ate in the Italian restaurant, our first visit. The service was friendly, very fast and the food really lovely. The Carbonara outstanding. Do NOT walk past this place. A true gem, very glad we discovered it. Thank you!!

We had booked in for food and drinks. Holly served 11 of us in total. The service was great and the owners are really nice and kept us updated on our order and when to expect it. Food was amazing everyone loved it. We will definitely be going for a return visit.

We had a Sunday dinner meal at the restaurant for 4 of us. The food was first class with a good selection of drinks. The chef and owners were very friendly and accommodating. The view and atmosphere were also first class. I would definitely go again next time we are in Blackpool and may also stay in one of their georgeous family rooms.

We were not staying at the woodhouse hotel but went in for a sunday roast omg it was amazing if i could of given it 10 stars i would give it but the dinner was so good the place was so spotless from top to bottom the owners and staff wer so friendly but the chef came to see us and checked everything was ok with the meal if i was able to give him stars he would definitely 10 stars i would that roast dinner was the best dinner i have ever had the whole experience was fab so much so i am goin to book a room to stay for 2 nights in may thank you so much for your hospitality and a big shout out to the young lady for the advice she is such a wonderfull addition u your team

Stopped here yesterday before our journey home and was not disappointed the food was absolutely beautiful and portion sizes very good. The staff were lovely and couldn't be any more helpful when needed. Beautiful little restaurant will definitely be back

Room was quite dusty when we arrived and despite being newly refurbished you can tell it was a quick job, few corners missed making it look a sketchy job. It’s also not a place to stay for a long period of time as the only storage is 4 tiny drawers, no wardrobe if you’re wanting to hang a shirt up. It was nice to see complimentary tea and coffee in the rooms. However, the kettle they had provided had to be plugged in at the other side of the room and put on the window ledge when in use as this was the only plug sockets. Also, no one on the reception during our entire stay. We were left waiting when we arrived to check in, when someone did come they were very brief. Had us fill out a form with our details which asked for bank details for deposit which I’d paid prior which the receptionist wasn’t aware of. We were then given our room keys and off we went. The receptionist didn’t give us any directions to our room and there was no signage. No carpet on the stairs going to the top floor. In regards to the deposit we are still waiting for this to be returned. It states on the website that once the room has been checked after check out it will be refunded and be with us 48 hours after. Myself and my partner have rang multiple times but the phone just rings. We then went out on Friday night and came back around midnight. Doors were locked which I appreciate for security purposes but no one on reception or to be seen. We tried ringing various times. Eventually some one came and we received a call back the following morning. We were never made aware that the doors would be locked at a certain time, we were just informed the night porter would be on at 10pm. Breakfast was very expensive for what we got and service was very slow despite there only being 3 tables occupied. 2 dogs ran into the restaurant whilst we had our breakfast which whilst we are dog lovers, not when we’re in a restaurant eating a meal. Also, breakfast didn’t start until 9am which meant we were waiting for quite a while in the morning. This may not be down to the hotel but the noise on the Saturday night from banging doors at 1:30am kept us up. I assume it was from the staff downstairs who were cleaning and shutting down the bar.
