The Driftwood Hotel

Not bad

On arrival, the lady that met us was lovely, thats the only positive. We were then sent to the hotel next door as apparently they were both connected. We were greeted by a hallway full of dirty washing, followed by the dirtiest room I've ever been in. There was a communal room that shouldve been a bar room but was not fit for use My partner cleaned the place when we got there and we still couldn't stop. We left half an hour after we got there and didn't spend the night. The bed was broken and uncomfortable. The toilet still had sh*t in it. There were no handles on the drawers so they couldn't be used. The bathroom was filled with mould and the toilet roll was just sat on the dirty windowsill. Wouldn't recommend to anybody. The cheap price shouldn't mean this amount of uncleanliness is acceptable.

Yes there are broken lights and smelly towels and stained sheets and dirty sink and stained floor and wonky curtain rail and dusty TV but its what I would expect for a £17 a night room! The customer service I recieved from the manager on the day was excellent! She handed me the key and said the room was done and if there is anything that is wrong to inform her, very nice and polite! My rating is for the hotel and room not the customer service, she was excellent x I think if you are looking for a very cheap night out this is the place if you dont mind what comes with it, you will be hard to find a clean place at that price so what do you expect???? Room is clean and comfortable Good value for money Suits me fine, not a palace but I'm not paying for one I've extended my stay

The staff were great and provided a travel cot for the little one too, really friendly and great price. nice and close to the seafront. Perhaps not ideal if you have more than one child but absolutely ideal for a couple or quiet getaway. Good experience all in all

Wow. This is definitely an establishment to AVOID. I'm accustomed to 'roughing it' and totally believe that you get what you pay for, but this place doesn't even meet the very most basic of standards. On arrival, the communal areas are dirty, untidy, and smelly. Up in the bedroom, the room was very small, with no area or provision to hang any clothing. The bed was small with an extremely lumpy mattress. Springs sticking out on the side, causing a skin tear by walking past the bed. The TV didn't work, the window was broken, the bedding was stained, pillows were extremely thin, and only 2 provided. The en suite was small, mouldy, and dirty. Downstairs, it appeared the hosts were having a party with people shouting loudly, swearing, arguing, drinking, and taking dr*gs. There are other budget b&bs in Blackpool that can offer so much more. Room was £35 a night, managed to find a room for £19 which far exceeded the standards of this hell hole. Please avoid and find somewhere else.

We arrived at the driftwood yesterday to a locked door with two numbers on the door saying we could call for help. Both numbers were rang numerous times, but nobody answered. Check in was supposed to be at 3pm and as it was only 1pm we left our car on the drive and walked into town to take the kids for lunch etc. We walked back to the driftwood at 3.30pm and again the door was locked nobody was answering when we called the numbers left on the door. Another family then arrived and were locked out with us, we were all stood outside in the heavy rain with children getting absolutely soaked. A man then came to the door and told us that he was renting a room, we noticed random people coming in and out of the doors that weren't staying at the property it didn't seem very safe for young children maybe a stag or hen doo but I wouldn't advise families staying at this place. Anyhow we didn't get to view the room we were supposed to stay in because nobody was available to check us in. We ended up going asking a few other b&bs if they had any rooms available but they were all full (the ones we asked). We ended up driving home luckily we only live an hour and a half away so we didn't mind we much preferred to drive home than stay in that mess. Something seedy seems to be going on in there alot of unusual men in and out I would not have young children staying there. DO NOT STAY HERE YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF AND IF YOUR UNLUCKY ENOUGH TO GET INTO THE ROOMS THEN GOOD LUCK!

I could tell the place was going to be bad the second I walked through the door it just looked filthy, only one socket in the room worked and that was a single one, you couldn't swing a rat in there never mind a cat, although rats wouldn't be a surprise, if they did breakfasts 🤢 I dread to think what the kitchen is like, the very abrup woman who showed us where our room was also looked like she needed a good clean, I also wish I'd taken a picture of the light shade above the bed, you would need a hammer and a very large scraper to get the muck and dust off, i will give them one star, simply because we could smell that the bedding was clean but it was honestly the worse I've ever slummbed it in my life and I've stayed in hostels before now, 2 nights was more than enough here, I said to other half when leaving "I honestly couldnt do another night here, I never normally leave reviews unless good ones but I don't want anybody else to stay there without realising what it's really like and that's REALLY REALLY not good!

What A SH.T Hole You Would Not put a dog in the room we were given christ it was bloody horrendous it looks like a H.M.O well if you want to get insect repellant you will need it and injection to stay there I cannot explain how bad the place was AVOID
