The Ashleigh - Dog Friendly

We chose The Ashleigh as I had a tattoo appointment in Bournemouth close by, so we decided to make a weekend of it and take our dogs with us. This was our first time taking our dogs away for the weekend and we honestly couldnt have had a more fabulous time. The room was spacious, clean, with a wonderful selection of amenities inside the room (I cant sleep without a fan, and after forgetting mine the relief to find one in the wardrobe was immense!) - the bed was huge! so comfortable, lovely plump pillows, we slept really well. We had the garden room and the dogs being able to come and go as they pleased into the garden was superb, they loved it. The welcome packs the dogs received were so lovely, and Lucy was such a warm welcoming host to arrive to, during our stay she was so attentive - along with Jet! We will for sure be back in the new year for another weekend away!

Great stay at the hotel, breakfast very tasty all round, well poached eggs too. Doggys settled well which is testament too very pet friendly place and host lovely. Close to the station & buses. Sorry to mention but unfortunately lots of pooh in the garden which is very disrespectful to Lucy unresponseable owners to not clean up from there pooches, Lucy put hers self out and beyond to be let down by her guests for one simple thing and Lucy provides doggy bags in the welcome pack. Feel sorry for Lucy when she does soo much.

This hotel blew me away. The attention to detail is excellent, the welcome and consideration was just amazing. We brought our dogs - and there was a welcome for them too - their own, named bowls, ball, toilet bags and calming treats - with a towel and blanket put out for their use. The host was just so lovely and (vegan and vegetarian) cooked breakfasts were just what was needed - home made bread and apple juice made from local produce. Highly recommend this BnB - great value too!

Comfortable bed, host Lucy welcoming and helpful with any questions about the local area. Our 2 dogs were well catered for and the garden room was a real bonus for their bedtime comfort break. Generous coffee and tea making facilities in the room.

Needed a break and with our fur baby..... she is a priority. Booked into the Ashleigh. Arrived around 15h00 for a 16h00 check in. Rung the bell to ask the owner if we could park and then return at 16h00 to book in. Lucy was fantastic. Opened the door with a massive smile and a genuine hello. She was happy for us to book in early and explained the dos and don'ts and took time to show us around. Room was clean and open. Nice size bathroom with walk in shower. For me, I would have liked more water pressure, but it worked, had nice hot water and did what it had to do. The length Lucy went to to make Abbey welcome was fantastic. She had her own blankie, named collapsible water bowl,(that you keep), treats, a ball on a string(Abbey tooo old) but the gesture was warmly appreciated and her own towel and nightgown. Breakfast was nice. Loads to choose from and the cooked breakies was enjoyable. The homemade bread just added to the loveliness. The apple juice from Lucy's folks farm is just awesome. The hotel location is close enough to walk to the beach, Asda is 5 minutes away and the hotel parking seemed secure with CCTV as an added bonus. Loads to see and do in a reasonable driving time. Plenty to choose for dinner with the large amount of food shops and restaurants in the area. Really would recommend a visit to Lucy and her hotel. It's not a 4 or 5 star hotel where everything is sterile, this is a "home" from home. It is comfortable, clean, homely and allows you to feel like one of Lucy's "extended" family, including Jet. Folks, give Lucy a call and book some "you" time with your fur baby. You won't be disappointed.

Truly a gem for a welcoming, comfortable and quiet retreat with your loved ones and furry family members. The attention to detail is exceptional and the service is impeccable. Lucy is an amazing and caring host who goes out of her way to add so many extra touches for an exceptional stay. She clearly loves dogs and gives them the same degree of service as the humans. The rooms are stylish, very relaxing and the breakfast is the perfect start to the day. Highly recommend and hope to return!
