Expect lots of exposed beams, floorboards and low level ceilings in places. The property is perfect for those that value character and charm over homogenous and clinical.Within the triple aspect main bedroom, sitting up in your king size bed, you can enjoy multiple views across the estuary watching a wide variety of boats swaying at their moorings.From the living/dining room, you can sit at the table and also enjoy views across the estuary, whilst spotting the local wildlife leap in and out of your private garden.Nonetheless, despite the character and charm, we endeavour to sympathetically blend in the requirements of modern living. Firstly, you can expect fibre optic WiFi throughout the property, with download speeds of up to 150mbps. No shared garden. 100% yours to enjoy.Other things to noteMersea Island *can* briefly get cut off from the mainland at high tide, but it is rarely for longer than 2 hours.Before you arrive, it is always worth checking the time of the high tide; Search ‘Tide Times’ on the Internet, select your website of choice (e.g. BBC Weather) and enter ‘West Mersea’ as your location.If the height of the high tide is LESS than 5m, the sea is unlikely to flood the road and you don’t need to adjust your plans.
