Hôtels à Oxford avec petit déjeuner

My first night was marred by the fact that the people next door had very loud voices, this was there normal speaking voice but sadly the walls are very thin, too thin to be acceptable. I had to wear eye plugs and only fell asleep because I was exhausted. Also outside my room is numerous units which made a noise. The sound of someone using the shower was annoying too. Though things looked okay in room and the bed was comfortable these other things spoiled my much needed break. The first thing I told the receptionist on arrival was I do not require anyone to tidy my room. When I got back from my meeting on the next day my room had been cleaned, bed made etc. The feedback card that I had not finished filling in was removed from my room. Most annoying.  So being close to Oxford station and having a Sainsbury’s next door were the best things about this hotel.

La location était très belle, calme et tranquille. Le cinéma et les restaurants sont les voisins. La distance parcourue à de nombreux supermarchés. Le bienvenu était grand et le service du personnel était de haut niveau. Le petit déjeuner était magnifique avec de nombreuses variétés - viande, beans, sauce, oeufs en grains, brownies de hash, lait, céréales, fruits, pain, beurre, jambon, pancakes et beaucoup plus à profiter.

Really cannot believe that a smaller room with low ceiling and small windows was given, so had to return to reception and ask for the correct category of room, but was told that the room booked is under maintenance, only different room was available now. After hours of waiting, the correct room was finally given. Funny thing was that when browse the hotel website, there are still same rooms available. Why such common tricks would have happened this luxury hotel?

La chambre était au troisième étage et, sans ascenseur, il était difficile d'y monter de gros bagages. La chambre était petite, avec un toit en pente au dernier étage, et la salle de bain était également petite. Les personnes de grande taille pourraient la trouver un peu exiguë. Cependant, la chambre était propre et bien rangée. L'hôtel est également bien desservi par les transports en commun : un arrêt de bus est juste devant l'hôtel et le centre-ville d'Oxford est à dix minutes à pied. Une consigne à bagages était également disponible après le départ, ce qui était très pratique.

We were attending a wedding in Oxford and the city centre hotels were very expensive. The reviews for the Black Boy were good so we booked.  It was a joy to stay here and we had a fabulous weekend..  Great location - about 10 mins in taxi from centre and bus stop about 5 mins or so walk.  Buses went to the city centre and railway station.  The room was lovely, as were the welcoming staff.  Breakfasts were very good and the pub had a nice atmosphere and an outside garden area.  Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Oxford.

Le personnel était très aimable et mon séjour s'est bien passé. J'ai récemment fait un voyage en solo à travers l'Europe et j'ai constaté que les hôtels dans la même gamme de prix étaient tous similaires en termes d'âge et de taille. Bien que la salle de bain partagée fût un peu contraignante, les toilettes se trouvaient juste en face de ma chambre, ce qui était très pratique. Cependant, l'hôtel se distingue vraiment par son emplacement idéal et la gentillesse de son personnel.

The hotel is very clean and well maintained, and overall the room was comfortable and tidy. Its location is very convenient, close to Oxford city centre, making it easy to get around and explore the city on foot or by public transport. One important thing to note is that there is no free parking available, and the hotel does not provide on-site parking spaces. If you’re travelling by car, you’ll need to arrange nearby paid parking in advance. Overall, a good option for cleanliness and location, but not ideal if you’re driving.

It’s not really a hotel, but more like a B&B with some hotel like features. Moving up the luggage to the room on the top floor was rather inconvenient although the receptionist,Alex, was very helpful. Breakfast was ok, but since there isn’t a restaurant in the accommodation, you’ll have to drive out to find food beyond breakfast. Besides the receptionist Alex, I didn’t quite get a warm feeling when we encountered the hosts, which is unusual given our experience in other cities in the UK so far. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

Très propre et confortable, non loin de la gare, mais toujours loin du centre-ville, et il n'y a pas de supérette de supermarché autour. La meilleure famille d'accueil de ce voyage.
