IInvitéMy stay at the Grand Poet was truly exceptional. The hotel perfectly combines modern elegance with a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with every comfort, the beds are incredibly comfortable and the park view is lovely. The spa is a real gem, ideal after a day of exploring the city, and breakfast deserves special praise for its quality and variety. The staff are always attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. A place that turns a stay in Riga into a pure pleasure.

IInvitéI found this hotel with the better price than other agencies and it was not disappointing me at all. The room was clean with full amenities I needed. Staffs were friendly, and breakfast was very good with high quality food. The location was great. The hotel looked luxury. Overall, it worth money than expected.

IInvitéAn extraordinary building ; one of the most architecturally impressive hotels in which I can remember staying, with wonderfully helpful staff and a location that can not be bettered -- with a commendable breakfast. Five stars ! But then . . .
Beautifully configured and equipped rooms but, constraints on urban buildings being what they are, and the architects having elected a stunning central skylit air- and light-well, our room, at least, had no window. Where was one to be placed, after all ? The air-conditioning worked well, but truly fresh air was not available.
The housekeeping staff had neglected the bathroom attached to the room that we used. Hair, a cotton-tipped applicator stick, and -- simply -- dirt were on the tiles. This can happen. It was very different from the rest of the experience of the stay. But there it was.
Have a look around when you check in. Ask for a repeat cleaning of your room if you think one is necessary. Enjoy your stay.

IInvitéJe trouve cet hôtel surcoté et différent des photos. Il est un peu vieillot, mais son emplacement est bon. Cependant, pour aller à la gare routière avec des bagages, il faut monter et descendre plusieurs escaliers pour traverser. Le vin pétillant offert au petit-déjeuner est un atout. La cuisine est plutôt locale. Si votre chambre est au premier étage, il faudra également monter quelques marches, mais cela ne pose pas de problème avec de petits bagages.

SSka525Le service est très faible. Le service est très faible. Le service est arrivée, personne n'est arrivée, personne n'est arrivée au bureau. Il a attendu environ 10 minutes, il a appelé, aucune réponse, mais le service est arrivée. Ils ont été très bien accueillis et ont été très bien accueillis. La même personne de la réception a été accompagnée de nouvelles chaussures et de nouvelles chaussures, qui m'ont remplacée, ce qui signifie que le même homme ne dispose pas de personnel si tout est fait dans l'ensemble de l'hôtel. Le petit déjeuner décent, les gens ont vu boire du vin, mais il n'a pas été marqué comme il est inclus dans le petit déjeuner ou non et la bouteille est assis à côté de tout le petit déjeuner sur la table du bar.

MMikeJMJonesWe were extremely happy with our stay at Hotel Justus. The hotel is located in the middle of the beautiful Riga Old Town, only a 3-minute walk to the Christmas Markets, 5-minute walk to the famous churches, and 20 minutes to the Art Nouveau District which houses some of the art galleries and museums. We stayed on the third floor in a standard double room. The room was spacious enough for a couple, had a well-functioning bathroom and also a comfortable bed and pillows. The room was well heated for the sub-zero temperatures. It has lifts. Breakfasts were delicious with both hot and cold dishes - scrambled egg pie, crispy bacon, sausages, fresh vegetables, porridge, pickled herring, wheat and rye bread, fruit and pastries. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, providing information for the major galleries and museums and even helping me find the Leica store. Before the holiday, manager, Einars was extremely helpful finding us a private driver to drive us from Riga to Tallinn at the end of our stay. This is a very historic, boutique hotel with a cosy ambience. I believe the restaurant on the ground floor is open in peak seasons. Nearby are at ;
least 20 restaurants and cafes, and many bars. A wonderful stay, thank you.

AAr JayCheck-in says 2pm. I arrived ath the hotel past 3pm and couldnt check-in. I was able to checkin at 4pm. The receptionist said that the room was not yet ready. Location is about a kilometer from the Bus Station. No nearby resto, only one small convenience store just across the street. Room, T&B and bed is perfectly fine and clean. Breakfast was meh. The area is small, so it gets crowded during breakfast time. Not enough table to sit. Not too much of a selection. But I like the Coffee Latte from their coffee machine. There’s also a water dispenser at the reception area.

My stay felt like a comedy of errors where I was the punchline. First, the breakfast saga: I pre-paid for my breakfast at check-in. Yet, every single morning, the restaurant staff looked at me like a breakfast bandit trying to sneak a free croissant. “Room number? Is breakfast included?” Cue me, once again, explaining my pre-paid status like I was telling a fascinating but unlikely story. I half expected them to ask for a signed affidavit from the front desk manager by day three.
Then there was the Pool Surprise™. The website features the pool, but conveniently forgets to mention it costs extra. At check-in, I asked, ”Where's the pool?” They pointed. They did not, however, point and say, ”...and that'll be $20, please.”
So, picture this: I'm there in my swim trunks, towel slung over my shoulder, ready for a dip. I get greeted not with a ”hello,” but with a request for my credit card. I had to do the walk of shame back through the lobby, damp and disappointed, to pay at the front desk. A simple heads-up would have saved us all from that awkward little parade!
The place itself is nice, but honestly, it seems like the different departments only communicate by carrier pigeon. And I'm pretty sure one of those pigeons got lost.
Pros: The room was good (if a bit tired), and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: Be prepared for a mystery fee adventure and to repeatedly prove you've paid for things you've already paid for.
