Hotel Germania

Very friendly staff. Excellent service. Superior double room very spacious even for us two who always take the kitchen sink on holiday. BR prices very reasonable for a hotel. Also an excellent location for the lake activities and also the cable car.

The buffet breakfast was superb, and our only regret was we didn't have dinner there as the food looked very good, and judging by the standard of breakfast would have been delicious. The room was spotless, as was the bathroom, and quite cosy seeing the bad weather that day. The staff were very friendly and helpful and top marks go to the receptionist and waitress who served drinks in the evening. Free parking was a bonus and overall the stay was very good value for what we paid. I'd also recommend reserving directly with the hotel as the booking service I used was much more expensive compared to the second room I booked directly.

Wrong room type w/o view, even though one was reservede by phone! St Sylwester dinner not reserved despite preceeding 3 emails to enquire reserve and confirm. The sparkling water bottle, provided on the dinner table w/o request, was later charged at €5+, despite dinner costing €85 per person and wine some €35. Cold room walls especially not able to lean head and watch TV, even with pillow behind. Radiators not working. Hotel provided electric heater! TV being turned on and controlled by remote in neighbouring room, had to unplug, could not turn it off. Dining room staff w/o any knowledge of wines offered, even unable to read wine cart. Dining staff used bare hands to swipe breadcrumbs to prepare table for next guest. Sauna booked 3 weeks in advance was overbooked on the reserved day and was unavailable, the reception staff refused to adequately address the issue. Cleaning and dining staff, appear to be "guest workers" ie. cheap labor from Eastern Europe..... After midnight on Jan 1st, lakefront nearby was crowded with foreigners, guest workers, who cannot afford to celebrate NY Eve indoors. DON'T GO TO THIS HOTEL, unless you don't mind a series of disappointment.

All in all, a very good experience, from checking in on the day we arrived to when we left. However, two issues prevented me awarding this as an ‘excellent’ stay. They were 1) the original online line booking process was flawed whereby we couldn’t complete the credit card transaction online despite using perfectly valid cards, and 2) the evening meal service and quality of food on our first evening was distinctly average, and expensive for what was on offer! These two issues marred an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Excellent hotel with great location near Bregenz center and see. Free parking. Very friendly staff. Clean and large room, very good breakfast and nice lobby bar. Absolutely excellent city spa with Finnish sauna. Highly recommended.

Es war ein angenehmer Zwischenstopp bei der Rückreise von Paris nach Niederdorf Südtirol. Sehr gutes Frühstücks Buffet. Angenehmer Empfang bei der Ankunft mit interessanten Informationen zur Umgebung. Sehr saubere und angenehme Zimmer.

Wir waren zum wiederholten Mal Gast während der Festspielzeit. Das man das Zimmer nur für zwei Nächte buchen kann, finden wir etwas fraglich. Aber am Schluss ist es Angebot und Nachfrage. Und während der Festspielzeit können sich die Hotels in dieser Gegend (fast) alles erlauben. Wir waren gegen Mittag dort und uns war klar, dass das Zimmer vermutlich noch nicht bereit ist. Wie überall auf der Welt. Empfang. Es wurde nicht begrüsst, sondern wir mussten zuerst grüssen. Ich: Guten Tag. Wir haben ein Zimmer auf den Namen xy gebucht. Receptionistin: Sie sind zu früh! Das Zimmer ist noch nicht bereit! Erst 15 Uhr! In einem Ton der sagen wir mal, eher zu einem Feldweibel in der Kaserne passt. Was für ein Empfang! Wir durften dann den Koffer dort lassen und gingen in Stadt und an Führung bei der Bühne (wie geplant) Das Team vom Restaurant hat dann noch einen Punkt in dieser Bewertung gerettet. Sehr nett, freundlich, schnell und das Essen und die Auswahl war gut. Unser Zimmer war sauber und gross. Die Dusche nicht bodeneben und klein, aber ok. Check out. Ich: Wir würden gerne auschecken und den Koffer noch kurz da lassen. Receptionistin: ja. Bezahlen Sie mit Karte oder bar? Koffer können Sie da! Das war’s. Kein danke. Keine Nachfrage wie es war. Keine gute Reise. Kein „bis zum nächsten mal“ Kurz und gut: eigentlich finden wir das Germania gut. Dieses Mal mit Mängel an der Reception und wir fragen uns, ob wir uns „zwingen“ lassen wollen mit zwei Nächten.

Das Hotel war sehr gut. Die Lage ist auch sehr gut da es nur ein paar gehminuten vom See liegt. Das Personal ist freundlich und auch die Zimmer sind sauber. Das Frühstück hat super geschmeckt und es war auch genug zu Auswahl.
