This hotel was perfect for my recent 4 night stay in Budapest. I had a twin room (room 101) on the ground floor overlooking the internal courtyard. The positives: Room and bathroom spotlessly clean Mattress comfortable Kettle, mugs, selection of tea and coffee and glasses provided Two complimentary bottles of water provided in room on arrival Appropriate toiletries provide in bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, soap, shower gel) Fridge Staff were polite and helpful (I had a "welcome back" each time I returned from my morning walk) The location is great. Heroes Square, City Park, the zoo, the Terror Museum, and the Szechenyi thermal baths are within quick walking distance The city centre is within reasonable walking distance for those who like a stroll The metro and bus stop are about 70m from the hotel Andrassy Street, home to a number of foreign embassies, is round the corner from the hotel so is nice if you like a diplomatic cavalcade! The breakfast buffet was not quite to my taste but there was a good enough selection and the chef was brilliant and cooked me fried eggs to order each day The negatives: If you have a ground floor room facing the courtyard you don't get a view (but neither do you get street noise) The rooms were a little warm at times (I opened the window) There was only one chair in the twin room Overall, I had a great stay at the Mirage Medic. I've previously stayed in a hotel closer to the city centre which was also good but I prefer the Mirage Medic for its comfort, atmosphere and location.
