Mr & MRS Smith Brody House

Beautiful interior. Breakfast was nonexistent and very disappointing. Expensive. Good location. One night overnight stay before onward journey to Lake Balaton. I would not recommend this hotel as breakfast is an important part of our daily diet.

Stayed at Brody house for a couple of days this August. It truly is a special place in Budapest. The a**osphere is just so amazingly welcoming and genuine. The staff is wonderful. Wish I could stay longer

Unique, personal, friendly hotel which feels like you are in a home where you are so welcomed. The staff is supportive and friendly , the rooms are just amazing and all rooms are unique. The a**osphere is relaxed, trustful and artistic. If you love art and design, this is just the place to be in. Whenever we are coming back, we will for sure go back to our new home. Our stay at Brody was a delightful, art-filled retreat. Spacious and inviting, it had all the practical luxuries but without any unnecessary extravagance. We booked the Etienne room with its large, wood-panelled bath. Mornings, we drank our coffees on the vine-draped balcony overlooking the quiet courtyard. Evenings, we thumbed through the delightfully odd and eclectic bookshelf in the lounge. The location is excellent. Tucked away in the heart of Pest, we stayed for three nights and never left the neighborhood. Coffee shops, galleries, restaurants, all within a stone's throw. This won't be the fanciest, most pampered experience that Budapest has to offer, but for travellers looking for rest and a creative re-boot, there's no better stay than at Brody. We'll be back!

As European that used to travel between east and west, and never really entered Budapest, it was time to do so. The friends recommendation to see Brody House was the best idea! Very central and compared to a mostly 'rude' or not very inviting attitude around the city, Brody House felt right aways cozy and like home. Thrown back in time and also seeing all this contemporary art mix with skillfully composed and created industrial elements, makes Brody House unique and very elegant while somehow Neo-trashy. All is purposely composed and curated with love. Also stunning how clean everything was and how cozy the sheets and the dorm and the bathrooms. I have to say a big thankyou for this beautiful and way too short stay. Definitely coming back and leaving for now all my best. till soon.

A gem in Budapest’s hotel world. Designed with quality art and individually decorated rooms. Great staff and a true part of the Brody experience. Perfect for work or pleasure with a welcoming bar area and inner yard. Very good located. Hope to return soon.

Brody House is the most amazing HOME away from HOME! The wonderful energy in the beautiful shared living room and bar with art from all over the world and even a piano there waiting for you! It's like a city palace in it's best form where you feel totally relaxed and inspired. The courtyard is a gem where you can sit and think, work , eat any time of the day or night. The rooms are a safe haven and the bed is a dream. Slept like a child! Thank you Brody House for both excellence and personality!

Absolutely gorgeous, well appointed property with exceptional guest service. Anna truly made our stay memorable, and the attention to detail was fantastic. Professional, welcoming and gracious, I would highly recommend the Brody House and will certainly include in future travel plans.

I have stayed in many hotels for business and leisure. I prefer the boutiques, as the owners are personally invested and so the personal service is usually much better. I do not know if Mary, Anna and the team at Brody House own a part or all of it, but they behave as if they do. This is the best hotel experience I have had since Buckingham Place in Sri Lanka. Firstly, the building is authentic and beautiful. Large, individual rooms, with high ceilings in a stunning, renovated 19th century mansion. Excellent facilities in each room with access to a glorious Ivy covered courtyard and separate family areas, equipped with fridges, honesty bar etc…, for you to do your own thing. We brought Hungarian friends back after dinner, staying up ‘til the small hours and they loved the environment. The service is fantastic and hands off. Mary and Anna were there when we needed them in the morning at breakfast, but in the evening we had the place to ourselves; a real home from home, although we could call or WhatsApp them at any time. Lots of help and recommendations if you want, from Budapest loving Hungarians. If you can, stay here, rather than soulless, hotel chains. Thank you for making our family visit so amazing ❤️
