Stayed at Ill Centro Apar**ents, Cairns from Tue to Fri. Got there at around 1ish in the afternoon, were greeted by the friendly office person and directed to my room without having to wait for the obligatory check-in time. The room was exceptionally clean, not modern but very well looked after. The bed was clean and comfortable with plenty of room to move around the apar**ent for two adults and you could even fit a couple of kids comfortably. Really happy with the experience and the value for money. Would definitely return if I needed accommodation in Cairns again.

Good to have a washing machine and dryer, parking and a full kitchen. The pool is a good size too. Close to shops and bars/restaurants but most convenient is it’s proximity to the Convention Centre. Also the bonus is that Warren is a gem and very helpful.

Highly recommend this apar**ent/hotel. It was clean, comfortable and everything was supplied even down to washing powder. The host was a lovely friendly man too! It’s very convenient for several different days out, the best being the train to Karunda National Park. Up into the rainforest and plenty to do there with walks, cable cars and boat rides down the river. There are trips to the Great Barrier Reef from Cairns which was awesome too. In October the weather was perfect warming up nicely for early spring in fact about 70f. But breezy, so pleasant.

If Trip Advisor had a classification for mid-priced apar**ents, I give II Centro 5 stars. Warren is lovely: friendly and welcoming with a 'wicked' sense of humour. We stayed here twice, at the start and end of a trip to 'The Tip'. Both the apar**ents we used were clean, comfortable and well stocked with kitchen items to cook a decent meal. The location is superb, close to the Bus Station, museum, Esplanade and shops. We travelled throughout Australia and voted II Centro number one. If we visit Cairns again we will definitely stay here.

Il Centro is conveniently located for the Cairns restaurants and bars but is in a slightly quieter location away from the main highway and well placed for the law courts (if that's your thing!). The apar**ent was spacious, clean and well equipped. Secure parking is available which is very handy for a city location.

This hotel is in a very convenient location. Short walking distance to pubs, restaurants and shopping centers. Our 1-bedroom apar**ent was spacious and quiet. Our only problem was the bed needed updating.

The Manager’s hospitality and friendship attitude was wonderful. Greek Yogurt, Cappuccino, invitation to a Weekend Market etc were all amazing experiences. Nearness to the Cairns Convention Center, supermarkets, and restaurants are added value to IL Centro Apar**ent Hotel. Thank you.

The walkable, but away from the noisy/busy part of town, location worked for us. We were able to spread out in a small apar**ent, instead of a single hotel room. If you are looking for updated luxury, stay elsewhere. But if you are happy with a clean, comfortable apar**ent (similar to many of the places found in the Gulf Coast of the US) to use as a base for excursions from Cairns this is a great find.

Access on arrival was highly problematic. We arrived outside the building and used the 24hr intercom 4 times and had to leave a message. We had to wait on the footpath for over an hour until another resident walked through and allowed us to access. The manager later advised that he had turned off his phone, which is extremely disappointing given that we had made direct contact prior on multiple occasions to confirm our expected arrival time. The room was dated, we found congealed fat left on the oven tray and cigarette ash all over the balcony furniture. We also noted that the fire extinguisher provided had not been serviced since 2019 and there’s no fire blanket for stove cooking fires. Honestly, this was a poor overall experience and we won’t be returning.
