Avis : Moy Guesthouse & Backpackers

MOY was the perfect place for me to stay. Its location is perfect, especially for someone without a car. I walked to the V&A Waterfront and there were also other shops, restaurants and beauty salons within walking distance. The room is spacious, and the bed is comfortable (I slept incredibly well), with great pillows. Everything was very clean and well maintained too. The staff are friendly and well informed and helpful. Although there is a backpacker's element to this venue, there were no disturbances that one my usually get from backpackers. The little restaurant on site is handy and the food and drinks are delicious. Great value, location. staff and rooms. I'd stay here again in a heart beat! Karin

I am a regular at Moy I am always greeted with warmest smiles every time I visit. My stays here always enjoyable. Moy has the adequate and clean rooms, clean communal kitchen. Moy is situated a walking distance to shops,waterfront, restaurants and everything at close proximity.

We stayed at this beautiful property for one week from 26th July 2023 up to 02 August 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Both the hosts/staff, Ms. Lee and Mr Gordon were impeccable in their service. Thanks to both of them we had a memorable stay. The location is great, with 15 minutes of walking to the V&A waterfront. Which is one of the most lively places in the city. As per suggestions by Gordon, we always took an Uber back to the hotel. Even the CBD is 10 mins away walking, so overall, full marks to its location. The kitchen is well equipped, and the rooms are sparkling clean. We shifted to Room 1 after our first 2 nights here, and it had amazing lighting and the view to the TREE, which I miss till this day. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. Was a pleasure to stay at MOY Guesthouse. Special note to travelers: They don’t have “load shedding”! (regularly scheduled power outages throughout all of Cape Town and SA.) The space was cozy amidst the South African winter. We enjoyed the location in Green Point, and really liked our stay in Room 1 (it was spacious enough to record my own yoga practice in, as you can see in the video. Perfect!). Check out the photos; as you can see, the place is really well kept! Would definitely go there again! Thank you!!

Great stay at MOY! Super friendly staff, and perfectly located close to the V@A Waterfront. Comfortable bed and amenities, and very safe feeling inside the gated area. Would definitely recommend, as it is high value for money. Thank you to Gordon for being a guide as well:)

Great staff, excellent location, clean spacious room. Unfortunate lack of a basic amenity. Fantastic place if you don't mind cold showers three days in a row. Staff did their best but difficult if they don't have the facilities to accommodate a full house.
