Home Suite Hotels Station House

A definite tick for luxury and comfort. Our only regret that was that our stay was way too short. Even though we live in Cape Town, we felt like we had stepped outside of the familiar and entered a welcoming vacation space.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 weeks Nov/Dec 2023. Excellent hotel and I enjoyed my stay there. Sonny and Irene's ground floor restaurant is excellent, we ate there for breakfast and an evening meal, both ten out of ten. The restaurant is very relaxed, decked out in a lovely salmon pink colour, one of the staff in the restaurant described the restaurant as being a brasserie. Not too highbrow, very relaxed a**osphere There is another restaurant on the 9th floor which we didn't visit. My room was very clean, nice crisp bed linen and despite the room being rather small it had everything we needed for our stay. Hotel approx 400 yards to the sea front. The only issue I had was the rooftop pool area, With panoramic views over Lions Head, the sea front, down all the way to Cape Town city centre, and Sea Point, it is well worth a visit. However, there were issues, I witnessed, parents allowing children in the pool and allowing very young kids to eat food in the pool, kids being kids food particles dropped in the pool and despite the parents best efforts to scoop up bread from sandwiches, crisps etc from the water, when I entered the pool some food was floating on the pool surface The sun loungers are very on trend, but concrete and wooden sun lounges, are very uncomfortable without cushions. It gets very hottttttttttt on the roof unfortunately there is no protection from the sun with parasols (whilst in the hotel's web page parasols are shown). Plus whilst you can dip in the pool to cool off the water is freezing !!!!! The water should be heated. People smoke on the roof and throw their butts over the front of the hotel onto the ledge, deposit their cigarette ends between the gaps in the wooden flooring. Late afternoon guests bring bottles of wine / glasses, very unsafe as if the glass gets broken it would be a danger to other guest as they may step on the broken glass As a suggestion, the pool area needs sone supervision to stop these guest from acting incorrectly Despite my misgivings about the pool area I would recommend this hotel.

We had a great stay at Home Suites Station in Seapoint. It had ample space for our 6 day stay and the location was perfect for getting about. We enjoyed walking along the promenade in the morning by the ocean and also trying all the bars and restaurants within Seapoint. The restaurant at the apar**ents - The Nines, was our best meal of the trip. Highly recommend. The breakfast at Sonny and Irene that is included was amazing. We tried something different every day. Only slight negatives are the concrete loungers at the pool. I get the reasoning for it but they are so uncomfortable. Also, a QR code in the room to access all the hotels services would be useful. There was info on the tv when we check in but it disappeared from our tv Home Screen and we had to ask for reception for help with a lot of things. They were always very happy to help, even moving our car for us when we got stuck and the barrier wouldn’t open but that might mitigate some of the questions. All in all, for the price it is a great option for exploring Cape Town!

Our decision to stay at Home Suite Station House was rewarded with an outstanding experience. The hotel's hi-tech features, including facial recognition at the entrance, emphasized a commi**ent to safety. Our studio, with its modern design and convenient kitchen, provided comfort with a scenic backdrop. The rooftop pool, offering breathtaking ocean views, was a standout feature, and the à la carte breakfast in the stylish ground floor restaurant added a touch of gourmet indulgence to our mornings

Firstly, the bedding is exceptional. Guaranteed great night sleep. These suites are perfectly situated in vibrant Seapoint. We also ate at The Nines (you need to book) and Sonny & Irene. Love the whole concept

Great location in Cape Town. Really comfortable suite with access to the pool which was nice (but very small). Staff delightful. Breakfast was service at the restaurant in the building (Sonny & Irene) and was fantastic. The two down points. 1. No bar or mini bar facilities- no where to even buy water. 2. The car park allocation for the hotel was on the 4th level down and the lighting was awful. We had to use a torch to pack the car up. Made me feel very uncomfortable.
