Lousy hotel , especially when you consider what you pay for this hotel . We booked it , because it looked nice , price per room around the 250 , so you expect some service . Well , service is a word they still have to find out what it means . When you arrive at the marina , there is a man with a hat and uniform who should s the name of the hotel . Without any other communication he points out that you have to put your big luggage / suitcase on a car . That was all what he said . Than you have to find out what you are suppose to do . Take the funicular and go up the hill . We had to find it out ourself . We arrived at the hotel . Staff is mwaahhhh. Not what you expect from a 4 star hotel . I had better approach and communication in a 1 star hotel when I was young and backpacking . When we checked out , they charged us for the two suitcase from the arrival, 2 times 17 euro . We complained about it , and the staff didn’t show any understanding , was rude and not a 4 star hotel worthy . They were vulgar and stubborn Don’t go to this hotel

It was our fourth stay in this hotel. Thank you Vittorio and Francisco for this wonderful experience. Service is great! Breakfast is excellent! Location is great- you are in the center of all. Rooms are nice and clean. Hope to be back next year!

Had a lovely few days at this hotel in July to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is beautiful, really clean, great location and really quiet despite being on a busy shopping street. All the staff were amazing but especially the guys who looked after us at breakfast and lunch, always smiling and so friendly and professional despite the heat. Really hope to come back to Capri and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Thank you for a beautiful room and a brilliant stay! Sue and Pete

AC is not working properly. Terrace door is defective and not opening or closing smoothly. Toilet Amenity is a very big disappointment, its very old in design as if we are living in the 90's. Pictures of the facility is very misleading and i wish i never took this hotel or came close. Furniture is very old and excessively used. I am not sure how i would spend my 4 days in this hotel as i feel the start is already crap.

It didn’t help it rained the whole time in Capri. But the hotel was pretty old fashion and soulless. Personally to pay over £200 per night for a tiny room was the going rate. But there is a lot of noise from the central state case, doors slamming and you can hear next door. Breakfast was fair- but very vast stark old fashion feel to the area. Felt like 1980’s.

Best location in Capri, in the center with everything at our finger-tips, and a true oasis of calm and beauty, set back in quiet beautiful lemon tree covered courtyard right of the busy shops of Via Camerelle. We visited with our 3 children and were given 2 separate rooms, both spacious and with great views. The service was seriously good, classic family run where there was attention to every detail, believe the hotel has been in the same family for generations and it truly shows. Good breakfast with stunning view over the sea and capri gardens in front. Great big pool with sunchairs all around, And environmental focus with large reusable soap/shampoo bottles, a big positive tick for us. We can't rate this hotel highly enough on all fronts, a fabulous base for exploring all the fun of Capri!

I loved Hotel Syrene!!! All of the people there really wanted me to have a great experience in Capri. Concierge booked us an awesome dinner reservation at a sunset restaurant. He helped us find hikes in the area that were wonderful and memorable. All staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Hotel itself was clean and pretty, great vibes, loved sitting under the lemon trees by the pool. Also loved swimming in that pool! There were even pool showers and locker room for us to use a few hours after we checked out— so so nice. Breakfast was good. Not sure about the restaurant. Would totally recommend!!!

Definitely not the quality expected for a 4 star hotel. Good points - The location was fine as it is a few minutes walk from the funicular station and the staff were friendly. Bad points - the room was unclean and extremely uncomfortable to sleep in. They claim to offer “air conditioned rooms” but are not transparent about the fact that air conditioning is only available during “summer” or what they consider summer. It was hot and stuffy in the room and the hotel were not able to provide a fan or help in any way. We spotted ants on the floor in the room and bathroom and were just waiting to leave as soon as it was day. I expected better for a “4 star hotel” especially when the prices charged are ridiculously high.

Came to Capri for my 30th birthday and wanted to stay in a great location that was walking distance to basically everything. The pool was nice but under staffed. Breakfast was great but make sure you’re there early as it is buffet style. Only complaint I have is that for the bathtub in my suite which needed some repairs.
