AMAZING! The food, the staff, the location, the hotel. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. The staff went above and beyond to make this a memorial trip for my husband’s birthday. Even surprised him with decorations and a cake at breakfast. The food at the hotel was some of the best I have had while in Colombia. The staff were all so nice and accommodating. The location is a round the corner from the action, quiet, but still close enough to it all. The hotel was clean and beautiful. I can’t express enough how great the stay was here. The pool is spacious and on the rooftop. Our flight left at 3am and the staff arranged for our cab to be there at checkout at 1:30 am. I felt completely safe during the stay. I have no complaints and will definitely stay here again. You will not be disappointed staying here. BOOK IT :)

Excellent small boutique hotel. Very well located and services staff amazing. Always willing to help, friendly and respectful. Drinks at the pool very nice at sundown as well as breakfast Definitely repeating on our next trip to Cartagena.

Fabulous boutique hotel in the walled city of Cartagena. Service by the staff was exceptional from the minute we entered and were greeted by Fabio. Hotel was updated, clean and our room was well adorned and spacious. Staff- Fabio, Harold and Alan went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Breakfast was also wonderful with many choices. We also used the cozy roof top pool and had drinks at the bar. Our first time in Cartagena and I would highly recommend staying at this property. Staff made my birthday trip with my husband one to remember. We loved the boutique hotel experience.

Fabio,Harold,Nicolas,LizMar,Sujee and several more that I cannot remember made our experience extraordinary. We especially loved Fabio. He was available for us and did more than we deserved. It was difficult to come back home. Our room was clean, the air conditioning was nice and strong and everything felt luxurious. It was the highlight of our Cartagena trip.

Hotel Casa Del Gobernador is a spectacular, boutique hotel with 12 luxurious rooms near all the best restaurants and historic sites in the walled city of Cartagena, Colombia. While it is near everything, it is quiet once you pass through the front gate and enjoy the welcoming courtyard and rooftop pool. You can sleep soundly without disturbing noise from the nearby night-life. We loved the personal attention and guidance we received from Antonio at the front desk, we savored the various breakfasts offered each morning, and relaxed on the rooftop pool with a drink from the bar at the end of each day. Both Antonio and Jocelyn made great suggestions for dining and late night drinks in the old city. The building was once the colonial governor’s mansion and it was recently completely renovated and modernized with an elevator and three story waterfall in the restful courtyard. This place is well worth the splurge for an elegant stay in Cartagena.

The house and location is nice. Personel tries to help. But where should I start? The checkin in was mediocre. Room not ready so decided to stay out and come back at about 15.45. Room was ready they said , got the key and surprise surprise; room was full with clothes and luggage of other guest. Not cleaned at all. They downgraded me after an hour to o normal room instead of the designer suite I booked for € 435.- a night . No compensation at all. On top: pool closed and rooftop also, elevator: ‘no sir, out of order’. Because I stayed here only two nights I decided to not let it effect my trip. When I checked out I asked the management lady (nice women) about any reaction or whatever via e-mail, actually normal room price instead of suite price. Still waiting…. Had to pay the few drinks of the minibar. All in all: nice location, nice house, not everything (such as pool, rooftop terrace available) and management is by I nice lade who is doing this (I think) as a job beside. Next time a proper hotel like Sofitel Santa Clara again for me.

Hotel Casa del Gobernador is a cosy hotel in the old city of Cartagena. The rooms and hotel are clean, and all the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and even though there was not a wide variety, it was tasty and beautifully presented. We really enjoyed the daily helping od local fruit. I would highly recommend this hotel .

i was at the end of december with my girlfriend till new year at casa del gobernador hotel, and we had splendid atention by Antonio, he gave to us some tips about good restaurants also suggested to us good references with graffiti streets, Antonio was fantastic he cared about us, the house is so pretty and breakfast wonderful

My family and I had one of the best experiences staying at this hotel hands down. Besides the great centralized location in the old city, it is very safe and secure and that it boasts such beautiful rooms, the staff will truly make your stay unforgettable. Rossana, the general manager captains a great team. Carolina, the front desk manager will greet you with a smile and friendly energy as well as her terrific receptionist team members Yoselin, Humberto, Sebastian and Antonio who all lead with kindness and will not only look out for you but give you great restaurant suggestions and help you get anywhere you may want to go. If you need anything, Harold is always available if you need him and has a great personality. Also, look forward to a delicious breakfast made with love by their Chef, Janet. Don't hesitate to book your next stay here at Casa Cochera del Gobernador, you won't regret it.
