Dungimmon House

Stayed 2 nights 2 & 3 May. Excellent B&B and beautiful gardens. Rooms are spotless and bed so so comfortable. Very peaceful area with no traffic noise. John and Grainne were really great hosts and breakfast was really tasty. Deffo stay again.

I have stayed at Dungimmon House on a number of occasions over the last few years. Visits were always to see my mother who lived near here, and was always because she was ill in hospital. This latest visit was due to my mother passing away. I cannot recommend this B&B more highly. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, spotlessly clean, breakfast from local fresh ingredients and always delicious. But what sets this apart from other B&Bs in the area in my opinion is Grainne and John. They are truly the most welcoming hosts, prepared to do anything for you. However on this visit (my second this year) which was to be with my dying mother, Grainne and John’s kindness and generosity showed no limits. Without them showing their care as they did this visit that saw me lose my mother, would have been so much more lonely. Grainne even came out of her way to bring me things I needed (and didn’t realise I’d need) to the hospital. Anyone choosing this B&B will not be disappointed and I guarantee will want to return. I have no real train to return to Ireland now my mother had passed away but I will return to visit the area just to stay at the B&B and catch up with Grainne and John.

This B&B is beautiful inside and out. The interior staircase is amazing. Our hosts John and Grainne were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was large, and very comfortable, with beautiful linens and comforters on the bed. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. The breakfast area was very large and very well stocked, and tea and coffee could be had day and night. Highly recommend this B&B

Myself and my three friends attended a wedding in the Slieve Russell hotel. We were delighted to find a B&B very close to the hotel- €10 taxi ride away. We stayed for one night. We had a very pleasant stay. The rooms were decent size, spotless clean. Grainne and John were very welcoming hosts, very helpful with booking us a taxi and seeing if we needed anything. Breakfast was beautifully prepared in a very lovely breakfast area. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend this b&b :)

Lovely accommodation with very friendly hosts and a delicious breakfast. Our last night's accommodation in Ireland and what a find. Certainly a great way to finish our holiday and wished we had booked more nights. Would definitely recommend it, and we would definitely stay again.

This was our first stop on recent trip to Ireland, John was so welcoming and friendly; our room was perfect; breakfast excellent. Had a very interesting chat with the cute little ponies and Puddy Cat! Dungimmon House is beautiful, intriguing, interesting decor…loved it! You will too!!

We booked very last minute and Gráinne was extremely accommodating and helpful. She is a wonderful hostess. The room was lovely, comfortable and clean and the breakfast was delicious! The attention to detail and care shown for guests was fantastic. 10/10 would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

We stayed here as we had a wedding up the road. The house was lovely and welcoming. Great hosts, replied quickly and accommodated us with our requests. The beds were comfy, beautiful view. Lovely breakfast. We will be back and will defo recommend. Thank you 😊

We bought a house close by but could not stay there as planned and needed a short-term one-night stay with a dog & vegan breakfast. John & Grainne offered all of it with basically no forwarning. The free parking was brilliant, the breakfast delicious and the room lovely with a view of the garden and bird feeders. The house is very eco-friendly which we enjoyed. There are lovely little touches everywhere like old-fashioned gadgets as decoration and the lounge with coffee and tea-making possibilities is cozy. We would have loved to explore the area but that will have to wait. If you visit Ireland don't oversee the hidden heartlands of Leitrim, Roscommon, Longford, East Clare, Westmeath, Cavan, North Tipperary, Galway, and Offaly. There is so much to discover and Dungimmon House offers a great base for the attractions in Leitrim, Cavan, Roscommon, Sligo & Longford. It also offers easy access to Northern Ireland. If you like holidays off the trodden path with great hiking opportunities Dungimmon House is an excellent place to stay. You just need to have a car or other vehicle available as public transport can be basic. Once we have settled a little we'll be back for a relaxing weekend. We are looking forward to it.
