Dimora Marella Patrica - Frosinone

we booked a night at this hotel as a pit stop on our road trip. Unfortunately the ferry from Sardinia to Civitavecchia notified us of a delay which meant that this stop was no longer our best option. By then my cancellation window was closed so the hotel could have charged me the full cost of the night but when I reached out to them they were very reasonable and agreed to let me cancel for free.

“Under the Tuscan Sun” (that’s Hollywood) ! One could say, “under the …’Italian sun’” is an overused and abused phrase to describe that idyllic summer in Italy where a foreigner visiting Italy (usually an American escaping some crisis in life whether it is a divorce, a break-up or some heart wrenching work drama) — claims to have experienced this heightened sense of self by losing one’s self into the beauty, simplicity, warmth and love that Italy and its peoples have to offer. Albeit it is also that summer where a family simply enjoys each other or lovers reinforce their “happy ever after”. And that is of course what Italy has to offer, the simplicity of life — the history and archaeological remnants of the past to remind us “modern people” that - HEY - stop feeling entitled, the history of Homo sapiens taught us to realise on how man, writ large, have evolved. I am not writing a history treatise, just a simple review, excuse my introduction as I tell you about this very beautiful place. A hidden gem in Lazio ( the region where Rome is a part of, by the way). Dimora Marella is the best kept secret of Frosinone. It is categorised as a “Guest House” or a “Bed and Breakfast”. It is that and then some. What it is not: .. it is not your usual commercial hotel, .. it is not near a city centre or Centro Storico. What it is: the most amazing Escape to the Countryside venue. Impeccably clean and well kept - the rooms especially - the amazing staff was the best ever. Dimora Marella is a historical mansion that had prior noble owners, perhaps it was their country home. When you walk through the salotto or sala you will see certain remnants of time gone by. Remnants such as a charcoal wrought iron and an elaborate rocco barocco styled clock, of which are obsolete in these days of digital life, but brings back the feels of the days gone by. The grounds are soothing. A tree where one can lounge to seek shade from the heat of the summer Italian scorching sun, the large pool where a few families chill out and the children race with their dad to win in a bout of freestyle and butterfly swimming. The silence and the wind blowing, the songs of the birds, the smell of wood burning from neighbours — all brought me back home - summers in Cebu and summers in Italy. The owners were tirelessly ensuring that their guests had the best chill and relax time of their life. They also offer for guests an option to dine-in. The dinner is not only amazing, but fantastic. One would expect a home cooked meal, but they gave us all the home cooked meal presented in gourmet look and feel. That was a nice touch. There was so much to tell about this amazing place, I would invite you to experience it on your own.

La Location è incantevole, immersa nel verde, in posizione collinare, con bel panorama ampio La Cucina - colazione, pranzo, cena - ottima. Pasta e dolci fatti in casa. A pranzo possibilità di menù completo a base di pesce. Tutto molto buono e curato nel servizio. Personale alla reception e addetto alla cucina / aisrrvizi gentilissimo e disponibile Piscina discreta con angoli nel giardino per il relax.

Posto bellissimo. Ambiente rustico, chic e familiare, accoglienza superlativa. Guest house completa dal ristorante alla piscina. Cibo ottimo. Panorama speciale. Suite perfetta per la famiglia. La proprietaria e il personale ti fanno sentire a casa con eleganza. Aggiungo che, seppur una location riservata tranquilla e con fresco di sera, è molto comoda (15 minuti) dal casello dell’autostrada, perfetto perciò anche come eventuale tappa durante i viaggi. Assolutamente consigliato!!

Bellissima esperienza posto tranquillo per staccare la spina la titolare persona gentilissima ti fa sentire come se fossi a casa tua,cena buonissima anche la piscina e tutto il contesto che la circonda anche i ragazzi del bar e la bagnina persone cordiali con la clientela.

Un luogo davvero magico. Curatissimo in tutti i dettagli, ma con atmosfera familiare. Cibo ottimo e personale disponibile. Consigliatissimo! Ottimo anche per organizzare feste e cene. Pulizia accuratissima.

Ci siamo fermati una notte come tappa . Il posto è incredibile. Immerso in una splendida campagna. C è anche la piscina. Le stanze sono curate. Abbiamo cenato. Pietanze genuine e ottime. Colazione con vista con marmellate fatte in casa e dolcetti di ogni tipo. Personale gentilissimo ci ha fatto sentire a casa. Che dire merita una vacanza in ciociaria

Posto estremamente gradevole situato nei pressi dell'uscita autostradale di Frosinone eppur riservato e silenzioso, facile da trovare con un qualsiasi navigatore o applicazione dedicata. Gestione al femminile (quindi di un livello superiore), proprietarie cortesi e personale di sala (Signora Marta) premuroso. L'edificio ottocentesco conserva inalterato tutto il suo fascino; camere calde con colori tenui ed arredo di stile, con quelle piccole imperfezioni che solo una dimora storica può e deve offrire. Cena a prezzo fisso abbondante e di qualità; vino cesanese piacevole al palato. Colazione ricca e varia. Nei periodi estivi è possibile usufruire anche della graziosa piscina. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimale. Un luogo di pace dove potersi rilassare.

Ci siamo fermati 3 giorni, durante una trasferta per lavoro. Ci siamo sentiti fin da subito come a casa. Il personale è stato molto accogliente e disponibile ad adattarsi ad alcune nostre esigenze. Il posto è veramente bello: villa ottocentesca rimodernizzata il giusto. La cucina tipica di quelle zone è gestita da chi fa questo mestiere con grande passione. Unica nota negativa è che quando tornerete a casa, ne sentirete la mancanza :)
